December was truly dealt a bad hand...Von coming into her life was definitely needed..Dontrell ended being a stand up guy and December really deserved that ..
You could tell from the beginning that Vida was jealous and going to be a problem for December. Even as preteens. Vida was envious. At twelve and thirteen year olds. Neither of them should've been thinking about sex. Coming from a loving home with loving parents December life as she knew it was ripped from underneath after the death of her parents. What was more heartbreaking. When December realized one of the people responsible for the tragic events. Was the boy she gave her virginity to. Amarie shouldn't have taken December in if she knew she wasn't going to have good intentions. Finding out she was pregnant and giving Birth to a son was the start of the hell December went through. I believe Amarie knew her boyfriend was raping December. Instead of protecting December once she saw that man raping the child. Amarie beat and threw thirteen year old December out on the streets. Which landed her in the clutches of Capone who December thought had her best interest at heart. Being young with no family or guidance. December learned quickly that Capone was a wolf in sheep clothing. For ten years she was being beat on and forced to prostitute. Von was heaven sent. He had no hesitation getting December out of that horrible situation with Capone. The way Von, his Uncle, and Aunt poured into December was commendable. December was able to flourish and grow. Although there was a set back where she was preyed on and victimized again. December decided to wake the beast up that was sleeping inside of her. December had a change of heart about getting revenge. I'm glad she did because she would've end up hurting Saint if she had killed Dontrell. Von was a stand up guy. Most men would cheat but when he noticed he started developing feelings for December. He was brutally honest with his girl friend. Stassi in her feelings and hurt. Told Von of her owm secrets she bern hiding. Tooley was Von best friend and knew how he got down. I don't know why he betrayed him and thought he was going to get away with it.
I enjoy this author but if you gonna write about a book like this, it needs to be at a slower pace. December went through hell for 10 years straight. And she already trusting ppl so easily. You would think it would be hard for her to trust. She hasn’t been treated right since her parents died and she easily trusting and dating. She goes on a date and gets raped. Like come on, be forreal. She just spent 10 years as a damn sex slave. Why would she go on a date?! If this book had the right amount of time invested into it I think it would have been great but since it’s fast paced it’s super unrealistic. I mean I get it Javon saved her and the readers know he’s the good guy, but she doesn’t. Shouldn’t she have tried to run once she got outside lol. I’m not leaving with two guys after I just was stuck with someone else I thought I could trust after 10 years. Then the thing with her being taken in by a frenemy after her parents died. Where is her other family. It’s just too much unrealistic mess and the book touches sensitive topics that just absolutely would not be going down after somebody endured so much trauma. Like what happen with Muscle and Amarie? Don’t just fill up a book with a bunch of drama and shock value with no substance. DNF at 45% I’ll move on to the next book.

December life was truly destroyed by selfish, greedy snakes that at one time she considered to have love for her, but her friend told her to be careful of Vida at an early age but once her parents were killed and not having any other family she had to move in with them and that was even worse than being an orphan, the cruelty that she endured while living there only to be tossed out like a piece of trash. When Vida came back into her life she should have pushed her away because she never meant her any good and she proved it time and time again but December got her justice and peace when Jahvon entered her life and asked those two simple questions who would have known that they were both what each other needed. I think that Anastasia was the secret informant she was trying too hard and to make a name for herself she started sleeping with Tooley who was blinded by what she had between her legs instead of being loyal to his best friend which in the end cost him everything.
Shari B oh my lord I couldn't understand how this was gonna be good but oh it was. I love how through everything December endured she was able to receive love, get her life on tract and not be ashamed of herself. When I tell you I appreciate how you gave Dontrell a right path. He took that lesson to become a leader instead of a follower. To see how much hateful things December went through and to see Vita be happy about it made me so happy when her karma came. December got an angel. And Jahvon made her know how important she is and to love herself and watching December grow and Von just being himself they both learned so much. Life has a way of lifing and this read didn't start out in a festive way but it ended with great grace, love, understanding and joy🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
TTP are doing their things when it has come to these holiday books and I haven't been disappointed yet. Shari B. did an amazing job on this story. From the beginning to the end it held my attention effortlessly. My heart broke for December. No one deserved to endure the things that she did at such a young age. I was so ready for her to get her lick back from everyone who'd ever done her dirty. Von was down to make any and all pay behind December. Meeting Von was the best thing that has happened to her since losing her parents. I can't believe Von's right hand and ex would do him dirty like that, even after he tried to do right by his ex. I bet she wish she would have kept her mouth shut instead of trying to hurt Von. I'm glad December got everything she wholeheartedly deserved.💕💕
Shari let me tell you how beautifully written this story was!!!! December was handed the worst deck of cards there was and my heart broke for her. Vida was trash in every sense of the word and got what she deserved. Jaudon was a God send and was definitely right on time. December was accepted into the Bennett family with open arms and I loved that for her.
Jahvon was just a kind hearted person and doing the right thing. I loved that when he realized his feelings for December, that he broke things off with Anastasia and never cheated on her. Anastasia and Tooly were some snakes 🤦🏽♀️ and well the disrespect is not to be taken. Saint was the best son ever and I’m extremely happy that Dontrell turned out to be a really good man and raised their right 💙 Amazing read with an even better ending, as always great job sis!!!
I truly enjoyed this book. You will meet December, a young woman whose life has not been easy at all. She witnesses the brutal unaliving of her parents at the age of 12 at the hands of her crushes brother. From there she lived a tough life going through pretty much hell on earth.
That is until one day she is rescued by the Jahvon, her knight in shining armor. Jahvon sweeps her off her feet and makes her begin the healing process of self love and worth.
Consumed with thoughts of revenge of those who took out her parents, life changed dramatically for her when she saw how well of a job her crush did parenting their son Saint while she was separated from him.
Jahvon taught her how to trust, love and live again. Excellent read and i really enjoyed it! 10/10 Stars!
It was a great read. It captured my attention from beginning to end. December was right when she said Vida was jealous of her and that jealousy cost her big. Jahvon was the person for her, and I'm glad they saw it. I knew it was something about Stassi, but I didn't think she was sleeping with his best friend. I thought she was the CI. Ant and Shanice were good people cause they opened their home and heart to December. Jahquez is the typical hard-headed little brother, but it was funny, too. I'm glad December got to be back in her son life and was able to give Jahvon a child. I wasn't disappointed as always, and I can't wait for the next project.
This story was absolutely amazing and I think one of my favorite ones. Poor December went through a lot in life to finally getting the happiness and love she deserve. I’m sure her parents are proud of her and happy she overcame all that was sent to destroy her. I love Jahvon for her because he looked past the fact that she was being taken advantage of sexually and mentally and still loved on her and built her back up. The love he showered her with goes unnoticed and I’m happy he follows her lead and allow her the freedom to do so.
I enjoyed this book. Von, Shanice, and Antoine were all a blessing for December. I'm glad Vida, Capone, and Darnell took dirt naps. I hate December went through so much. Sophia was a good friend. Although Dontrell should have been in jail for sleeping with a minor, I'm glad he raised his son and told him about December. That showed he really cared about her. His wife Toni was so nice. Von was a special man and he showed up for December and what a blessing Winter Miracle Bennett was.
This story is a great movie that played in my head. It was motivating and inspirational from beginning to end, except for what happen in the beginning, but it was needed to get to the happy. This is what was meant for the saying that God place people strategically in your life to help you and that He did for all parties in this story. He put people where they were needed. I love the determination, the drive and the care that was prevalent. Great Read! ReneeG
December is a strong girl for someone to go through what she been through and still find a way to stay positive and look forward to the future deserves nothing but happiness and unconditional love I’m happy Javhon rescued December and he helped her to get over her trauma and to become a better women for herself and her son sometimes going through tough times makes you be a strong person once again Shari B you did your thing
I started reading, and I didn’t stop until the last page. That’s how good it was. December was courageous. She didn’t let her past dictate her future. With the love and support from Vonn and his family, she was able to come out on top. The love and support they gave her was unconditional.
I was so happy von took December up from under capone her life would've definitely got worst if she still was with him that's messed up how everybody was treating her like she wasn't a child herself and learning after she lost her parents and going through a traumatic experience von really was a life saver
Vida was a hater as a child so her actions really didn’t surprise me. Trell was the shocker. With as much as December went through in 10 years you would think that she would have been broken. Von came right on time and showed her how a Virginia Plug loves a woman. Shari B did her thing as usual
Second chance for December Von came in and changed her life for the better..
Now December has a family also blended family with Dontrell at least he was able to apologize and get his son and now December has a family of her own with Von and She's complete...
I loved this well written story. With it's interesting, different storyline and the well developed, interesting characters, I couldn't get enough. Meeting the way that they did, and all of the bad things that happened in her life, this phase of their journey was so sweet. Definitely a Holiday Love.
Vida and her mother were wrong for how they mistreated December. All that she had been through and they still put her through more. Capone was no better. So karma came for them. Von and Quez was her saving grace. Von stepped up to the plate and put that love ❤️ back in her heart. I think Tooley and Stassi had something to do with DEA.
I loved the way Jayvhon rescued December from her bad situation. It’s so sad how she lost so much at an early age. I’m glad Capone and Vida got their karma and Trell stepped up and got custody of his son. This was a good read and the love between Jayvhon and December was real!!!!
What can I say…this was great Xmas story!! So inspirational seeing December overcome some of the worst the world had to offer to receiving the happiness she earned and deserved. Jahvon was a Man’s man, showed up and showed out. A couple of twists but everything played how it was supposed to.
Wow Ms. B you're one of my favorite authors. The way you write is amazing. I could feel all the hurt and pain December experienced. So happy she got her HEA with Von. If you have not read this you're truly missing out. This book touches on murder, prostitution, child abuse, hatred, jealousy, and loss. Sex scenes were 🔥 and 🌶. Kudos to the author 👏🏾👏🏾
Didnt really feel like a holiday story but still an ok read. December being able to take her life back was needed for her sanity and the way Von stepped up for her was 🥰 good surprises throughout the story and a few plot twists.
December is a prime example of a dream being delayed but not denied with all the things that she went through to end up with someone who really loved her, beautiful kids, and pursuing her career.
This book brought out the tears. December didn't deserve the trauma she went through. She is a very strong woman. Thank God Jahvon came into her life. Now she is engaged with two beautiful kids. Great Read!
Getting into the holiday spirit is just what I needed. The characters were cute and the development was great. If you need a little holiday pick me up, take a spin in the cold with them.
This was a great read. I loved the story and the characters. Poor December went through so much at such a young age. Was so happy when Von came and showed her something different.
I enjoyed this book. It was so good thank you for the winter and I love the characters the storyline love the family i it was amazing thank you for the adventure
