When Vanessa Perry’s mom walked away, Van found herself her father’s favorite punching bag.
Destroyed with the memories of the house that brought her pain. Vanessa knew she had to leave Bear Creek.
Doing so meant leaving the man that she loved behind.
Easton Adams.
Easton knew that Vanessa Perry would be the woman he’d spend the rest of his life with at a young age.
But when he watched her walk away, Easton realized just how much he loved her.
For three years he’s waited for her to come back.
Now she’s in town and Easton’s going all in.
Can Vanessa put the memories of her past to bed and give in to her love for Easton or will the pain that Bear Creek brings out be too much for her to bear?
This was a heart wrenching and sweet second chance romance. You can't help but root for Eason and Vanessa. I couldn't help but feel protective of Vanessa as her brothers were of her. Especially after everything she had endured for two years. Definitely grab your copy and read.
Check triggers on this first. It was a quick read. I liked it ok but I found Vanessa's treatment of Easton a little annoying. YES, she suffered through a horrible abusive situation at the hand of her father and it was good that she had her brothers she could turn to BUT...I also didn't agree with how she handled it. Or rather, how she treated Easton. He is a SAINT for waiting for her when in reality, they were only 18!!
I also felt the inclusion of her brothers (and their dynamic) was weird. I know it sets it up for another book with one of the brothers but still...I guess I just wasn't sold on them.
Tropes: • small town romance • second chances • pregnancy

I loved this story from start to finish. The chemistry between Vannessa and Easton was there from the get go even after 3 years of Vanessa leaving the small town. I loved that once Easton found out why Vanessa left even though he was still hurting he went and had a word with her father. I loved that Vanessa felt strong enough to step foot back in her home town and so happy she gave Easton a second chance they are made for each other
The author has given us a heart wrenching story that pulls us into the lives of Vanessa and Easton. The story keeps us turning the pages with heartbreak, regrets, determination and second chances.
