Nashville Nights #3

Waiting for Redemption

Rate this book
Working at a bar was the last thing Tank Landry ever saw himself doing after leaving the Marines. But, after meeting Ruby Ranes, the single mom who was assigned to train him, his feelings started to change.

All I needed was a temporary job, something to fill the void leaving the military left behind. Little did I know, walking into that bar would end in me finding my reason for...everything.

All I've ever wanted was to give my son a good life. To make him feel safe and loved above all else, which meant there wasn't room for anyone new in my life. Especially not romantically. Until one day, a certain Marine walked in and changed...everything.

Oh my goodness. I loved Max & Tucker in the first two books of this series but nothing prepared me for Tank. You get an idea of who he is in the first two, but you really see him open up in Waiting for Redemption. He is a truly, kind hearted, generous man with a spicyyyyy side. Ruby is a lucky girl. My heart just melts over the single mom trope in this book which I did not think I would be a huge fan of but Tank & Hendrix are a duo I didn’t know I needed!!

Ohhhh! The rollercoaster of emotions is real!

I’ve laughed out loud and ugly cried, as well as being scared for the main characters.

This is the 3rd book from the Nashville series and is the story about Tank and Ruby.

There’s 2 POV, one from Ruby and the other from Tank. There’s also different time lines but they’re memories and they’re very well placed and explained so it’s very easy to follow.

Ruby has had a hard life trying to protect her son, Hendrix, from something from her past while working a lot just to get by. She’s pretty busy and never dated anyone in fear of being hurt again or even worst, that Hendrix would get hurt too.

Tank, an ex-Marine, is back in town after he had to retire from the Marines because of an accident. He’s trying to deal with his demons his own way but almost to the cost of his friendship with Ruby as they became best friends when he started to work Chattahoochies, where Rubes works too.

As much as Tank is trying hard to stay positive, his emotions and demon gets in the way and hits an extreme low point in his life. Which brings me to say that one thing I really liked is that book shows a that mental health for veterans is very important.

Get in the train of life with these 2 beautiful souls and get ready to fall in love with the cutest little kid ever! And to cry your heart out!

You definitely need to read book 1 and 2 before reading this one.

Tropes: found family, marriage of convenience, military romance, single mom, mental health rep, surprise dad

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

And lastly, a huge thank you to Sarah to provide me an ARC for this book. It was amazing.

✨ Marriage of Convenience
✨ He Falls First, She Falls Harder
✨ Single Mom
✨ He Takes Care Of Her AND Her Son
✨ MY WIFE!
✨ Special Tattoos
✨ He Gives Her Nicknames (yes more than one and they are all SO good!)

I’m beyond thrilled to have gotten an ARC for this book, because it was so so so good I went absolutely feral.

Tank and Ruby are my personality now, but even more Tank and Hendrix are my world. There were so many moments between this trio that had me screaming in laughter and also sobbing and everything in between.

Any book that can rip my heart out and still make me beg for more is just — everything, and WFR did it more than once. The story has so many components and so much action; not to mention humor, an amazing friend group full of support, and 5 alarm spice.

The found family in the Nashville Nights series is some of the best, and WFR continues to highlight just how amazing this entire cast of characters is. Tank and Ruby are my favorite couple in the series to date, and I'm already planning a reread of their amazing book.

Oh my lord. Tank Laundry can get it! I apologise in advance for how all over the place this review is going to be I'm just so in love with all of these characters and this world.
It's no secret that I low-key love a self deprecating MMC, a man who doesn't think he's good enough for our FMC and wants to stay away, but can't help but get drawn into her sunshine. This was Tank on Ruby and I was completely here for it. The character growth and healing in this was just next level. I love the little family that came together in this book.

Tanks dirty mouth but gentle hands had Ruby on her knees for him and I do not blame her because these smutty scenes were so hot and delicious to read. However, what really sucked me to their story was the build up and angst. The soft touches, the almost k!sses, the "but we shouldn't" and "we should be friends".

I loved Ruby as a character. She wanted Tank, she wanted to be loved but she was a mother first and foremost and prioritised her son and his safety and I was 100% here for it. She was such a strong willed character with a rough past who was hustling hard to provide for her son. I adored that while Ruby was a caring character she also would not let someone walk all over her, she had a backbone and a half. She had used her history as a lesson for what not to allow to happen again. I appreciated that her "weaknesses" were turned around and shown to her how those things actually just showed he strong she is.

Tank oh Tank. I already mentioned that he is a self-deprecating hero, but misery loves company, except maybe in Tanks case. Reading his POV and seeing the way that he couldn't help but gravitate towards Ruby even while unconsciously trying to distance himself from everyone in his life was beautifully sad to read. I really appreciated his character development and ability to recognise previous bad habits and situations that he had gotten himself into. His bedroom talk (and action) was pretty top tier. I can't speak to mens mental health specifically, but in general I would say that the mental health representation was pretty well done.

There is a potentially tr!gger!ng scenes in this book so I would check the warnings in the front of the book before starting. I will say to this scene I was a little disappointed with it. It felt a little rushed and while I understand that Sarah likley didn't want to go into too much detail or spend too much time in the moment, even later the events are kind of glossed over. I think that it's a very real issue that I would personally liked to have been touched on a little more. However it didn't diminish my enjoyment of this book.

Can we just talk about Hendrix for a second. I've read a decent amount of single parent romances and just kids in books in general in my time reading. I must say that this is definitely one of the best representations that I have ever read. I find that they are often saying things a kid their age just wouldn't or acting younger then they actually would. Sarah absolutely hit the nail on the head with Hendrix, he says really emotionally intelligent things at times but ultimately he is still a child and that is evident.

I could gush about this book for pages so I'm going to pull myself up here. IMO this is Sarah's strongest book yet and I cannot wait to see where she'll go with the next one.

*An additional (and soppy) note: I've been on Sarah's ARC and content creator team since the beginning, Waiting for Sunshine. It has been a blessing to be able to read her words and attempt to write a review to point out how fantastic she is at her craft; creating these worlds and characters. I genuinely love when I see the email to say that there's a cover reveal coming or when that ARC lands on my kindle, because I know that whatever Sarah's written, or had her cover artist create, it's going to be beautiful.

“Only and forever, right?”
“Only and forever.”

Absolutely SOBBING.

We are back to the Nashville Nights series with Tank & Ruby's story. And it did not disappoint.

This book takes us back to when Tank first came home from his back injury. I loved that we got to go back to older parts of the story and get Tank and Ruby's side of things. It definitely felt more impactful that their story takes place over the course of a couple years.

Over the time before the present, we are taken back to allll of Tanks struggles. And the way that I sobbed for this man. I love that we also got a deeper side of Ruby. We got to see why she is so reserved but we also got to witness her freedom.

I absolutely loved the connection between Tank & Ruby. They always knew what the other needed. Ruby was always able to pull Tank from his dark space and I cried every time. The connection and relationship Ruby built with her son Hendrix was something I related to so fully. I loved that we also got to watch Hendrix grow up too. And as if single parents aren't my weakness as it is, the relationship between Tank & Hendrix was enough to have me completely undone.

This story was so beautifully written, heartbreaking but OH SO BEAUTIFUL. Found family is one of my favorite micro tropes and this series definitely has all the feels.

This is a long one so buckle in 🖤

Waiting for Redemption is the third book in the Nashville Nights series. This book follows Tank and Ruby. We go backwards some to see how Tank and Ruby’s friendship developed and get a little more insight into Tanks life before moving back to Nashville because of a career ending back injury. Eventually we catch up to where we last saw Ruby and Tank in Waiting for Healing which was distressing and upsetting. Tank ends up removing himself from everyone’s lives for 6 months to better himself but this also causes some tension with Ruby. Upon Tanks return, Ruby and Tank end up in a fake marriage (for Hendrix’ sake-Rubys son) and have to face their six month separation and issues they’ve both been dealing with.

Ruby and Tank were made for each other. Where she’s weak, he’s strong and vise versa. They are able to lean on each other, communicate and support each other as they navigate their new relationship. Hendrix was also such a fun character to get to know and see his relationship with Tank blossom also felt really special.

This story has by far been the most emotional one, my most favorite one and I’m once again applauding Sarah (and Mr.Pirtle for his service) for how she portrays life and feelings after serving. I can’t wait to see what’s to come for the characters of the Nashville Nights series.

Devoured this book!

Waiting for sunshine and Waiting for healing awere on a list of my favorite books last year and the way the story of Ruby and Tank was presented in the end of the book 2 has made my waiting for this release unbearably torturous! I wanted to get back into that universe so much!

I enjoyed this book from the first page up until the last! I knew that Tank and Ruby’s book would be special: traumatic past on both end, amazing friendship and undeniable tension - chef’s kiss combo!

This story has everything : great tropes, lovable main characters, possessive alpha hero but also a strong FMC, caring friends, cute kid and hot spice 🔥🥵

I honestly think that friendship written by Sarah is one of best things about her books! Each time I am reading her stories I wish I was part of the girl gang!

Highly recommended read!

The way that I was waiting for this story. Tank was always a character that I wanted to get to know better. To deep dive with. He had gone through so much and deserved happiness that he was denying himself. And Ruby...Ruby had also been through so much alone. It was so obvious that they belonged together and watching them deny it was almost painful. You could see the yearning!

Tank will always be someone that I want to protect. I loved his character development and how he got help when he needed it.

My goodness, I don’t even know where to start. This book is so freakin emotional. I connected with Tank and Ruby so much. This took me back to my bartender days where it made me have nostalgia from the setting. I love Ruby’s character she’s so strong and such a good mother to Hendrix. It made me so mad when her popped back into the picture and the trauma that brought back to Ruby. But Tank, he was her rock and I love the foundation they built off of being friends first, learning to trust and gradually opening up. When he won over little Hendrix, my heart just melted.

As a military wife I connected and saw a different perspective with Tanks pov, and felt for him with his mental health struggles and adjustment back into civilian life. Sarah was so delicate and touched on this gracefully.

I love these characters and highly recommend. You can read this as a standalone, but it is part of the Nashville Nights series so hurry and add to your TBR!!

Words cannot explain the love I have for Tank and Ruby… and Hendrix of course!

This book put me on an emotional train and the investment in these characters was off the charts. The plot development was amazing, and the character development was out of this world! I absolutely loved learning more about Tank and Ruby! Plus their relationship… and the spice… AMAZING!

Honorable mention goes to Hendrix for being an amazing, sweet little boy who is definitely too grown for his own good.

“Any moment I spend with you, Honey. You make me feel like I’m living.”

Started crying and finished it while crying. 🥹

God damn this book fucking hit me in the feels!
The Landry brothers have my heart in a vice and they are seriously never letting go. I thought nothing would come close to Mr. Tucker Landry in Waiting for Healing but I was sooo mistaken. Mr. Tank Landry just fucking eat my heart chewed it and spit it out girly pops.

My beautiful tormented soul, Tank is just *chefs kiss* he is so full of love for Ruby and Hendrix that it literally transcends the page. My heart felt so full during the interactions between all three of them that I was basically holding my nonexistent pearls while reading the whole book.

The mental health issues and scenes were handled with such care and grace so I need to give props to my girl Sarah for making this wonderful story come to life. I just could spew so much word vomit about how much I loved this book but I’m gonna limit myself! 😆

So many quotes but the most impactful of all was “Not even death could keep us apart.”

This book is hands down my favorite of the Nashville Nights Series! Ruby and Tank are a top couple for me, and I was so invested in their journey to HEA that I did  not want this book to end. I could read 100 more chapters on these two, and it still would not he enough.

Ruby is an absolutely amazing mother to her adorable son Hendrix, and she is definitely my favorite of the ladies we have met in this series.  She would do anything for her son and has been through so much in her past that helped shape her into the  amazing person she is. Her and Tank were written in the stars and meant to be, and I was so happy  to see her and Hendrix get a HEA with him.

TANK ( perfect book husband ) LANDRY is hands down my favorite of the Nashville Nights men!!! I have been waiting  for his book since he was first introduced, and his book was 1000% fantastic. I mean, the amount of swooning  I did while reading his and Ruby's interactions and how he was so amazing with Hendrix had me smiling so much.  He is so protective of not only Ruby but of Hendrix as well and proves so many times that he would do anything to protect them both from anything.

Both Tank and Ruby have been through some very difficule and painful events in there pasts but through/with the support of each other they formed a amazing friendship that turned into an even more beautiful relationship that helped to heal both of them and lead to a HEA and the family they both deserved.

This is a must-read book, and I can not express  how much I loved Tank, Ruby, and Hendrix. Don't miss out on the third book in the Nashville Nights series!! This book releases TOMORROW MARCH 20TH!!!

“I don’t like bullies. Never have. No one is going to treat you like that as long as I’m around.”
“And what about when you’re not around?”“Then you give me a call and I’ll grab my scissors.”

Okay okay okay. I have been trying to figure out how to write a review for Tank and Ruby for months now. The second I started this book way back as a baby google doc I knew that Tank and Ruby were going to ruin my life in the best way. And they did.

I think about them all day every day. The way Tank shows up for Ruby from the second they meet is unlike anything I’ve ever read. He’s tortured and damaged and battling his own demons but the way he loves Ruby and Hendrix so wholly and completely melts me every time. Someone spills beer on her? He takes his own shirt off in the middle of the bar and gives to it her so she has a dry one. Max calls and says she needs him? 10 minutes no questions asked. His story is a heart wrenching one and I cried almost the whole time but oh my god was it the most beautiful thing I’ve ever read.

Ruby is so fricken strong and seriously the best mom (she must get it from Sarah). The family she finds with Max and the rest of the Nashville Nights gang is pure and lovely and I will never be over it. The way she becomes strong and yet vulnerable with Tank, while still remaining a spitfire and holding true to her roots is handled with such grace and I’m in awe.

Hendrix. My sweet sweet boy. I adore him. From the moment we meet him in WFS I loved him and he SHINES in this book. The relationship he forms with Tank is possibly one of my favorite parts of the whole book. I will never be over them #battleboys4life

AMAZING STORY

“ Don’t pretend you don’t know you’re my favorite person to be around. “

Oh my goodness, I couldn’t imagine a better story for these two. This is such an emotional book that was broken up with banter and spice.

Tank is a little lost after being injured and discharged from his role in the Marnies. He takes a job at the local bar (since he can’t get a job in the field he wants) in town and that is where he meets Ruby. Ruby is the definition of a sassy strong heroine and didn’t think twice to put you in your place if you step out of line.

“ Right now, Ruby Ranes feels like mine, and that’s enough to bring my dead soul back to life. “

Their journey isn’t easy but I love how Ruby always knows when Tank needs her and she literally drops everything to be there for him. Once Tank realizes that he can’t control it on his own, he makes the hard decision to seek help.

“Tell me, Honey. Whose good little wife are you?”

When he is ready to show Ruby that he is all in for her and her son, Hendrix, that is when her ex comes back into the picture. Ruby is left reeling when the he threatens to take the person that means the most to her. The only solution they see is to get married but Tank lets it be known pretty quickly that it’s not fake for him.

When things between them start to heat up, I was cheering. Tank stops at nothing to let Ruby know how much she means to him. Their story was absolutely perfect and I LOVED the relationship between Hendrix and Tank because he makes so much effort to be there for him in any manner that he needs.

Note: please check the trigger warnings because some topics are very heavy.

🔥🔥🔥

This was my first book by Sarah but it definitely won't be my last! I absolutely loved this story but holy moly get the tissues! I was definitely in my feels with this one but I really enjoyed this one!

In this story we meet Tank, who used to be a marine until he was injured. He has no idea what he is doing with his life but his brother gets him a job at a local bar. When he walks in on his first day the last thing he expects to see is...Ruby.

They become close friends as they confide in each other about what's going on in their lives. Ruby is a single mom to a cute little boy named Hendrix so Tank sometimes helps her when she needs someone to step in.

But Tank has some demons he has to face and he has to do what's best for him. He gets the help he needs to become a better man for Ruby and just in time because now her POS ex is back in the picture. One thing leads to another and Ruby asks Tank to marry her in order to keep custody of her son. Little does she know how strong Tank's feelings are for her.

Even though it starts as a marriage of convenience. Ruby and Tank's relationship grows stronger than ever. My heart absolutely swooned when Hendrix called Tank dad.

I felt that we got a little bit of everything with this book! We got the laugh out loud moments, the emotion which led to tears, feel good happy moments, and then SPICE. Lord have mercy Tank Landry has a mouth on him..mix that with "my wife" I was a goner.

Overall, this was such a wonderful story about second chances, redemption, and I felt that the mental health aspect was written so well. As someone who has struggled with mental health, I felt deeply with Tank. I was so happy to see they all got their HEA in the end. I definitely will be reading more by Sarah!

Waiting for Redemption is everything. This book is beautiful with a great romance story of overcoming past traumas and fighting for was it matters in the future.

Tank’s story from leaving the military, starting to work at the bar while at the same time suffering from military PTSD and trying to overcome this, was emotional and incredible to read at the same time. It was interesting to see how he cope with it, while at the same time realizing that Ruby’s presence was the safe place he needed. But seeing how he was ready to ask for help with the intention to become the man she needed was everything.

At the same time we have Ruby’s story. She had a traumatic past due to her previous ex-boyfriend. However, even though she sometimes have small episodes of anxiety she always remembers that she is a strong woman and that her son is the best thing that has happen to her.

At the same time, reading their story made fall in love with the genre again. Their story was beautiful, from the moment they met, to their shotgun weeding, and they married life after. Tank is one of the nicest and most amazing husbands there are. He was the rock Ruby needed when fighting for her son. He constantly reassured her of his love for her and her son, went the extra mile to make sure she was okey and if she needed something. To sum it up their romance is what anyone could ever wish for. Ohh and their ‘my wife’ moments were swooning!!!

I highly recommend reading this amazing romance story and I’m sure it would definitely not disappoint!!

"Waiting for Redemption" by Sarah Pirtle is an enchanting love story. This is Book 3 in Pirtle's Nashville Nights series.

Ruby is down-to-earth, bada$$ bartender and an amazing mother. Tank is a veteran just trying to find a new calling after an accident ended his military career. Tank gets a job at the bar Ruby works at and they become best friends, but secretly they each have feelings for the other. Their demons come out to play and they're both rocked to the core. Love saves them both.

I acquired this book because I loved the first 2 books in this series.

Rating on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being exceptional), this is how I rank the following aspects of "Waiting for Redemption":
- Quality of writing: 9/10
- Pace: 9/10
- Plot development: 8/10
- Characters: 9/10
- Enjoyability: 9/10
- Ease of Reading: 9/10
- Spicyness: 7/10

In addition, Pirtle did an amazing job tackling many sensitive topics in this book. Pirtle showed the affects of PTSD on both main characters and I found it to be intriguing. The relationship between Ruby and Tank is gut-wrenching and delightful at the same time. The time setting at some points was a little difficult to follow but that didn't take away from the story. The spicy scenes were excellent and well written. Ruby and Tank were beautiful characters on their own but even more mesmerizing together.

I would recommend this book to those who enjoy reading: contemporary romance, military-themed romances and redemption arcs. Overall, I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. ☆☆☆☆

As a Military spouse I want to start this review by complimenting Sarah and her ability to show how Military members hide their PTSD/Trauma under different personas such as the jokester, the grumpy/broody one and the one who wears it all on his sleeve.

Now on to the book review. I have been waiting for Tank and Ruby since finishing Waiting for Healing and this book like the others did not disappoint.

Tanks story had me pulled in from the start. I loved how this story went back prior to what we saw in Waiting for Healing. I truly loved getting to understand Tanks background and what happened with him. We see where Tank gets his job working for Max and getting to know Ruby. I loved seeing Tank and Ruby have a genuine friendship turn into a relationship and the struggles that Tank faces when he has an episode of PTSD and the decision he has to make to better himself to deserve Ruby and her son. This book broke my heart at the beginning reading what we read in Waiting for Healing but instead of seeing it through Tucker we see it and feel it through Tank and everything that had led to that moment. I had to have a whole box of tissues next to me and take a moment to process the moment/emotions that were happening.

Ruby is an amazing FMC. She is strong and is doing everything she can for her son and her. Ruby has a traumatic past as well so she is able to see Tank and who he really is and help him through her friendship. I loved Ruby and Hendrix so much. The way she eases Tank into her and Hendrix life because it's not just her she has to think of but her son as well.

Tank and Ruby's relationship was genuine and beautiful. While this may be a marriage of convenience book it was started with genuine feelings for each other and friendship. Tank is THE book boyfriend/husband. The way Ruby and Tank fir perfectly together is so beautiful and they truly bring out the best in each other and heal each other in ways only they would be able to do.

I loved this book and everything it stood for. I want to thank Sarah Pirtle for the opportunity to ARC read this book. Tank, Ruby and Hendrix now have a spot in my heart.

“I will spend every day for the rest of my life, showing her how deep my love runs for her.”

Grab the tissues because this is good one.
Sarah’s back with her third installment of the Nashville Nights Series and just when you think they can’t get any better, they do.

This book made me cry before I was even 40 percent of the way through. I wasn’t kidding. Buy some stock in tissues so you have an endless supply.

I know a book is amazing because it makes writing a review hard. I could talk forever about all the things I loved in this book but I’d run out of space. So a few of my favorite things are the growth of Tank and Rubys relationship it’s such a cute juicy slow burn, all the emotions it made me feel, from the crying to laughing and everything in between and lastly, we can’t forget about Hendrix. That little kid…*speechless* he had his own perfect little voice throughout the whole book and it was everything. I mean come on “battle boys” are you kidding me. Absolutely adorable🥹

Do yourself a favor and read this book, in fact read all three books in this series because the found family just keeps growing and these books have a way of making you feel you are right there with everyone experiencing everything in the best possible way.

Some of the tropes include:
💜Found Family
💜My Wife
💜Mental Health Rep
💜Marriage of Convenience
💜Touch her a ☠️

Downloaded this book on a whim since I am such a sucker for single-mom romance books. And this did not disappoint!! Tank was such a warm and loving father figure to Hendrix and the way he loved Ruby and her son was beautiful. The protectiveness when her ex came back into the picture, which I hated by the way the guy is such an asshat, he truly showed how much he loved her and the lengths he would go to make sure they both were safe! Ruby is probably one of the best females in a single mom romance that I have read, she is so strong and doesn't take anyone's shit but also isn't scared to be vulnerable when needed. She loves her kid and always does what is best for him, she is such a selfless mom, and finding Tank was the best thing for her. Hendrix is hands down my favorite character, no one can change my mind. The writing was great, the story was well-paced not too rushed but not so slow you felt like it was dragging on forever. I was happy to see there was no third-act break, and the fact that they both fought for their family and communicated their feelings was one of the many reasons I gave this book 5 stars! I 100% recommend it to anyone who is looking for a found family book with a cute kid, a broken/redeeming veteran, and a ton of laughs!

You guys. This book took me on an emotional roller coaster. I was crying in my cereal over the PROLOGUE!! I don’t even know where to begin. First off: Tank. Where you at?!?!? Tank is exactly what I want! I have been a single mom and can relate to Ruby so much. (Also I want to be her when I grow up. I’m older than her it’s fine.) The way Tank shows up for Ruby and for Hendrix?! Swoon. Absolute swoon. The love and care and devotion and protection he has for them is next level and I cannot help but be jealous of Ruby. These characters in this series feel like my friends. And I want to be part of their friend group/family. But their story is one that I will hold close to my heart. It’s more than a romance book. It’s hope that there are fantastic men out there that will show you and your children the love and desire you deserve. I really don’t want to give too much away. You need to experience this one for yourself. This is book 3 in the Nashville Nights series. I have loved each story thus far.

I’ll tell you what friends, she can write em!

This book was so beautifully written I don’t think I have all of the words to describe it correctly.

First and foremost the way Sarah handled all of the tough subjects was just magnificently done.

I absolutely loved how we went back to when it all began 2 years ago and got to see it from Tank and Ruby’s POV. I cannot imagine what writing these triggering scenes must have been like but as the reader, I was fully there with them. I felt what they were feeling and even had tears forming!

And once we got to Part II, present day, the story just kept on giving me life. I was here for the “fake marriage”, learning to live as a family and all of the found family moments.

One of my favorite parts was how the book didn’t end where you would expect it to. We got so much more out of these characters after the 80% mark! And the ending did not disappoint in any way, shape or form!!

Sarah has created such a special world with the Nashville Nights crew that I just can’t get enough.

I cannot wait to read the rest of the series!

I was not prepared for the waterfalls created by my eyes reading this! I felt every emotion possible with Tank and Ruby! I couldn’t help but become truly and irrevocably invested in their love story.

Their story is truly a special one and is very moving. We get to see their moments and what leads up to their present day lives. We get to grow with the characters and see how they come to be who they are. That’s always a unique experience and I love when I get to learn about characters in depth like that.

Tank, while he exudes tough guy, has the softest spot for Ruby and Hendrix and steps up for them without a second thought. Something I couldn’t help but swoon over while reading! He is dreamy as dreamy comes. And Ruby…words can’t describe how badass she is. She’s a single mom, who not only had a rough past, but has worked hard and been able to build a good life for her and her son, Hendrix. She would do anything for Hendrix and ALWAYS puts him first. And while she doesn’t like asking for help, Tank doesn’t take no for an answer.

WFR will live rent free in my heart forever!

happy pub day @authorsarahpirtle ✨✨

To say I’m in love with this series is an understatement!! I love this group of friends so much 🥹 If you haven’t started it yet, please do because you’re seriously missing out!

about: Working at a bar was the last thing Tank Landry ever saw himself doing after leaving the Marines. But, after meeting Ruby Ranes, the single mom who was assigned to train him, his feelings started to change. All I needed was a temporary job, something to fill the void leaving the military left behind.
Little did I know, walking into that bar would end in me finding my reason for...everything. All l’ve ever wanted was to give my son a good life. To make him feel safe and loved above all else, which meant there wasn’t room for anyone new in my life. Especially not romantically. Until one day, a certain Marine walked in and changed ...everything.

Thank you so much @authorsarahpirtle for the copy 🤍

“Tell me every terrible thing you ever did, and let me love you anyway..”

This is the third book in the Nashville Nights series. And I don’t know how Sarah did it again.. but she delivered!!

The dedication alone had me in tears. Every time I read it, I literally get goose bumps.

I was not prepared for the tears I was going
to have.

I am so excited to go back through and highlight all my favorite quotes. There were so many that I loved and gave me all the emotions.

“Ruby isn’t a ray of sunshine, she’s a raincloud, helping to bring the dead parts of me back to life.”

“Ruby, I’ve always known you’d burn the world down for Hendrix, I’m just gonna be there to hand you the matches.”

I mean… I know you are swooning right now too. 🫠

This book is addictive and I am already wanting to reread it. Definitely a core comfort book for me now. 💜

This is for you if you like:

* Marriage of Convenience
* He falls first
* Single mom
* Found family
* Military
* MY WIFE 🔥

Waiting for Redemption
by Sarah Pirtle

Third in the series, this is my favorite book Sarah Pirtle has written. An epic love story between two very hurt and broken souls who only needed to find each other to heal their wounds. Waiting for Redemption takes everything you know about painful pasts and turns it into a beautiful story of their future. Tank, with his military trauma, and Ruby, with her ex/baby daddy, they both find themselves falling in love unconventionally at first. But for Tank, it was never pretend.

Pirtle writes so clearly about their troubles, leaving readers to feel every single emotion the characters go through. The amount of research and detail that has gone into this story line is unbelievable. While this is in the romance category, there are so many more topics that Pirtle addresses and weaves into her story. It’s more than just a love story. It’s a story about ending the hurt and finding yourself and your purpose. Well done Sarah!

Waiting For Redemption is the third installment in the Nashville Nights series. It follows Tank Landry and Ruby Ranes. Ruby is a single mother to a little boy named Hendrix. She moved to town a few years prior, after fleeing from a terrible situation. Tank just returned back to town after a mission went wrong overseas causing an injury in which he had to leave the military. He is feeling lost but his buddy, who owns a bar, offers him a job. The same bar that Ruby happens to work at!
Ruby is determined to break through Tank’s hard exterior and sees past the facade that he puts on. The two fall into a comfortable friendship, however they both harbor secret feelings for one another.
I don’t want to give too much away about this book so I’m keeping this short! There’s so much that went into this book and the story is outstanding with many layers. I love Tank and Ruby’s relationship as well as how amazing Tank was with Hendrix. This was such a beautiful story and so well written. I highly recommend it!
