Didn’t vibe with the writing style

There were a few annoying things about this book. The winks were odd, and it's padded with repetition. Also, it's repeated several times that the author doesn't like science and goes more by how she feels, which just comes across as pretentious.

It's a beginner book for shadow work and Astrology, and is ok, but I've read better.

I started reading this book because I was looking for a ‘divine feminine’ type of read that I could include in a feminine themed book basket. I wanted to read the book before I recommended it to someone else via a gift.

I will say, the book is not for everyone. I consider myself to be more spiritually inclined, and I appreciated the history of significant ‘Venus’ type women throughout our time. I feel like this book did a good job at teaching Venus, her energy and how to bring more femininity and feminine thinking into my life. Venus is all about pleasure, too often do we ignore this and live our lives as an endless, stressful ‘to do’ list. This book suggested thoughtful practices and ways of thinking to bring more pleasure into your life, with a strong and confident conviction.

I read this via audiobook, I would recommend the hard copy for SHE Salon 5 just to have a hard copy of the initiations to follow along rather than listening.

I like the subject matter of the book but the way the author writes is a bit distracting. Many words were capitalized for emphasis, which disrupted my natural reading and subconscious emphasis I place on certain things. It also deals heavily with venus astrology rather than archetypal venus (minimally).

Omg. Obsessed with Venus.
Lisa Lister talks us through the Venus cycle and her phases as well as introduces us to historical and fabulous females with lessons to teach.
If you're on a spiritual journey, fascinated by the moon cycle, exploring your divine feminine wisdom, you'll probably love this book.

A fun quick Saturday morning read that can be done by skimming pages and stopping where you want.
Lisa is repetitive when her message of taking the time for self discovery and awakening through using astral techniques ie follow Venus celestial patterns.
There are good life reminders and insightful exercises.

I didn’t love this one by Lisa lister but I did learn that Venus is currently in retrograde and loved all the practices she mentioned using roses in various forms.
