In this second installation, Lyric and Shooter must navigate themselves through a relationship, after all the smoke has cleared. Now, they’ll have to figure out if what they have is real, or was it merely all just a crush.
This is why Nicole be leaving us hanging and I almost don’t mind if this is the alternative. She really drug this story out more than it needed to be with unnecessary details and it ended up bringing the high note book one started on way down. I feel like we had enough details in book one about the start of Shooter and Lyric and didn’t need the extra.
Half of the book was them going back and forth with childish games all because they lacked communication skills and had trust issues. It was clear that they loved each other but past experiences never allowed them to fully relinquish the doubt they had.
My anxiety stayed high because I just knew Griff was going to come out guns blazing but I guess Lyric really was with a shooter😏! I absolutely loved the growth that Shooter exhibited because Lyric was still making dumb decisions based off the word of others.
Idk why the author felt the need to introduce new irrelevant characters into book two but they added no value to the storyline! If you decide to explore this series read book one and holla at me in my inbox for the cliff notes on book 2.
I was so stressed about this book. I was worried it was going to be violent and drama filled. Instead Ms Jackson gave me the full backstory on Shooter and Lyric and then the pleasure of seeing their relationship and them grow and evolve and I enjoyed it so much. The contrast of how they moved when they were younger versus how they handled things as grown ups was a really good literary device. It’s wild as heck after everything but Shooter on his grown man ish is book bae material. And Lyric finding the words to express her feelings and fears was inspiring. I’m so glad I didn’t put this off too long. This was an amazing end to an overall really great duet.
Everyone in this book was downright trifling and I was tuned in to every single syllable. 😂 Lyric literally gave those men the blues, pun intended. The one thing I don't agree with was her continuing a relationship with Griff. She never wanted that man and she should've left him alone. But karma is real and that was proven with the way Griff ended up treating her. She stayed with him to prove a point. While I agree she would've been a fool to accept Shooter's philandering ways she honestly could've moved on with any man and still made him feel her. I'm glad she didn't fall unto Liza's trap. Anybody could see she was clearly envious and playing mind games.
pure entertainment. Shooter & Lyric …… ooops oh my!
Difference by ginuwine , sum this book right up perfect book to add in the story cause my goodness! ( once they got it together)
Dylan & Lyric for the win, I was rooting from them from day 1 idc idc , finally finally finally! They went to through some stuff. This is a very entertaining story fast pace but you’re going to be able to roll with it . I’m glad Nicole did the overview from past cause I was interested to see the background behind all the drama …
The only thing that was throwing me off , why I never knew the age of Shooter and Griff that’s one way I be connecting to characters know the age maturity just all the things. I knew lyric , I kept trying to figure out throughout and that was distracting. Maybe I missed it anyway. Book 2 wrap up and I was pleaseee!!!
I’m not going to say Griff got what he deserved buttttt she gotta start thinking but again lyric wasn’t his person so there’s that! & he need to be alone.
Glad to be finished because there was so much back and forth! In this book they definitely grow up…for the most part. Shooter and Lyric finally get it right but I still wouldn’t trust him with a ten foot pole 🤣🤣🤣 There was one part in this book that had my lil nerves on ten!!!! I was like no way yall about to swing again but Shooter wasn’t going for it. That part had me wondering if Lyric would ever gain some sort of self esteem and a backbone. She tried to go hard throughout both books but definitely fell for the okie dokie every time with both Shooter and Griff. She was a weak FMC!
Mannnnnnnnnnn I ain’t even gon lie I think I held my breath throughout this entire book and when I wasn’t holding my breath I was having heart palpitations cause I wasn’t sure what was gon happen. BUT bayyyyybbeeee this book was the perfect ending to this series. It’s starts off telling us the complete beginning to Lyric and Shooter. Again, I was nervous reading but when it got back to present day, it showed a beautiful love story of perseverance. Shooter was BAE PERIOD!!!!!! I’m so glad Griff got the beat down he was deserving of. It was refreshing to see Shooter open up the way he did and I loved watching how him and Lyric blossomed. Great read!!!!!

Now , I think I read every book by Nicole Jackson and I love them all, but this one. The story wasn’t bad, but I reallly didn’t like Lyric. I didn’t like how she played the best friends against each other and that because she was young we all was supposed to over look her being a hoe. I not good at give review with out telling to much of the story so I’m going to say this, if you like dirty red you will love this book. Lyric is toxic!!!
The second book, I was kind of over the tit for tat. Lyric would do things out of spite or in reaction to Shooter. I was rooting for them in the end. I was cool with Lyric trying to be the best version of herself for shooter but continuously reinventing yourself to please a man is a bit much. This book was good but didn’t pull me in like this first.
Again, this book needed to be edited but not as much as the first book. Mixing up of characters and misspelled words.
This part was needed for tying up loose ends. The entire story picked right up and explained this as being more than a crush from day 1. Shooter wasn't ready to be with Lyric until the realization hit him that he could no longer stand Dalaney being raised by another man carelessly. The forgiveness in the end completely this story for me and Griff moving on was Real as it comes because they all were at fault.
i really liked how the writing brought everything together. The plot was messy messy for sure but how everything came together and the final conversation was good. I liked that Shooter practiced his communication once they finally got together and would get Lyric to listen. She truly needed that because that nonchalant shit will only go so far in any relationship.
Now ok ok listen here Ms lady coming through on this here part 2. Now I was praying somebody would just grow up. But we see shooter coming for his Queen and family. Because this series was a wild and crazy one happy everyone moved forward. But sad Shooter and Griff not friends anymore and I don’t think they will ever be. Anyway great series
Even tho book 2 was more fast paced than book 1, it didn’t take away from this book being just as good. In book 1 we got Lyric & Griff’s story. In book 2 we got Lyric & Shooter’s story, and how they ended up hooking up. In the end I’m glad Griff got the closure he needed, and wasn’t on any crazy mess.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 This story was so toxic, funny, and spicy! I’m glad Lyric and Shooter matured and communicate better. I’m also glad they didn’t decide to step into their old ways. This was a great hood story and Shooter eluded BDE!
I truly enjoyed this series from the beginning to the end. The things that lyric was doing, was dangerous and crazy. But I must say the passion between her and shooter was so hor! The author threw me off with this drama here and I'm glad I one clicked it. Dang this series is so good!
Wow!! I don't know how to feel. Shooter and Lyric were dead wrong for what they did. Shooter did grow up and do right, but Lyric was still playing games. I feel like Lyric should've been left single with no man. Anyway, it's a pretty good read.
This was one crazy, over the top, funny (I laughed,so I hope parts were supposed to be funny) story! Through flashbacks, we get full disclosure as to what was really going on in Lyric's head! This was an excellent story, Nicole Jackson! Please keep them coming!
Part 2 definitely hit the spot. I'm glad Shooter and Lyric were able to.finally be together. It was growth and maturity that caused that to happen. The timing was perfect and I'm glad they didn't go back down the swinging route again. They would have been a major set back.
Sooo, this thoroughly entertained me! I will say book one was a better read and caught me off guard! I had to go back to catch those subtle hints. Overall, I enjoyed it.
Whew Chile, This was an emotional roller coaster ! 10/10 do recommend. Everybody was a little trifling, playing games and had growing up to do. Glad that shooter and Lyric finally got it together and found their happy ending.
I don’t know what the fmc gives me so much anxiety LOL this is one of those books that was so good but I wanted it to hurry up and end so nothing else bad could happen lmao great writing by the author.
This series definitely kept me on my toes and had my jaw touching the floor. From the plot twist alone, it had me constantly shaking my head like, “this can’t be real” lol. 100% recommend
! 😳🤯😳. The Shooter, Nay swing night was WILD. The fact that Griff was locked out his bedroom 😂. Shooter said he wasn’t letting Lyric get away again, ten fingers and toes stood on business. I was annoyed at the flash back of them being together and all the back and forth. But when he shot down the birthday swing night. 👏👏👏👏👏 YASSS HONEY, he said he wasn’t having it. I’m so glad he didn’t cheat on Lyric, she was perfect for him and their cute little fam they made! 💕

The back story of how it all went down!? Lyric was a HOT mess! I enjoyed Dylan’s growth, and finally’s Lyric’s too lol. I don’t know if I feel bad for Griff or not… he left me heavily conflicted!
Reading almost 100 pages into 178 page book was a major waste of time… rehashing the back story was so unnecessary, whoever didn’t get the prologue needed to go read the first book! Honestly these 80 more pages could’ve been added to book 1 and been done!
I like in the end Griff finally got it. He knew that even though it was dirty the way the get together Shooter and his ex were meant to be together from the beginning.
I’m not really into all that threesome stuff, but to each its own! There were to many people in the relationship for me. I will still read your work though.
