Raging Blue was the first book I read by Renee Daniel Flagler and it won't be my last. This book took off from the first page. The twist and turns of having her hand forced, Blue straddles the line of a woman wronged and a good girl gone bad, but she's not to be messed with. RDF did a great job of creating suspense throughout and to the end and when that time came no disappointments were to be found. This book gets placed on my highly recommended list. I read this book in less than a day and look forward to "Still Raging".

Nothing Like a Scorned Woman

The story follows the lives of a famous athlete, his wife, who's really the financial holder in the relationship, their friends and the problems that arise when one allows too many vices in life to control their household as well as allowing too many people in their personal life.

I was pleasantly surprised with this book, “Raging Blue.” The main characters Blue and Jay were on a spiral downfall from the first page. Too many outside forces contributed to the demise of their marriage and it just goes to show that everything done in the dark will come to the light. The author, Renee Flagler, kept the plot going and kept the story moving along. There were not so many scene changes that you got lost in the story. The only thing that I can say that I thought she could've improved on is Blue appeared so needy until almost the end of the book. Even though she set about to right the wrongs done to her, she seemed to never really develop a strong backbone until almost the end and I really wanted Mia to get what was coming to her. That really did not take away from the story, it’s just an observation. I must say I really enjoyed this novel and look forward to more from the author in the future. I would like to know how everything turns out with Gavin, Blue, Jay and even Mia, although she is one you love to hate. I give this novel a strong 4 stars and would recommend it to other readers!

I am probably one of the few women that have never seen an episode of the reality show Basketball Wives and after reading Raging Blue by Renee Daniel Flagler, I probably never will. Blue Holiday is the wife of a star athlete named Jaylin. Jaylin not only has a problem being faithful to his wife, he also has an issue of staying employed with his team.

Unlike most women who see marrying an athlete and/or having a baby by one as a career plan, Blue has her own family money so she does not rely on Jaylin as her meal ticket. As Blue prepares to part ways with her husband, there are absolutely no boundaries as to how far Jaylin will go to keep her and her money in his life. Over the course of the book, Blue forms quite a bond with Jaylin’s friend Gavin, but little does she know that her best friend Mia is hoping to form a bond with Jaylin.

Renee Daniel Flagler did not disappoint with Raging Blue as it was quite refreshing to read a story about a woman who was not dependent on a man financially. The characters are flawed, sometimes too emotionally needy, conniving, backstabbing, passionate, in other words, they are human. I say that I will probably never watch Basketball Wives because it is my belief that most of those women are more like Mia than Blue and I don’t have time for that foolishness. Read the book and you will understand! I ended the book with some lingering questions and it is my hope that they will be answered in Still Raging!!!

Raging Blue grabbed my attention from the first page! The author introduced characters that felt so real. Blue is the wife of basketball player Jaylin. She has stood behind him and supported him through a drug addiction and infidelity but when she finds out his latest betrayal their lives will never be the same. Jaylin was a mess in this story. I kept hoping he would get it together!

Mia is a golddigger to the tenth degree. She does whatever possible to make sure she is always financially set but when she decides to run game on two professional athletes she just may have to rethink her life plans. Mia was a very interesting character who I'm seem to love and hate from chapter to chapter.

Gavin is rich and every girl's dream. He is firm on not settling for just any woman. I loved Gavin's character and felt him emotions the most throughout this story.

This author has a new fan! Her writing style is intense and you can't help but to feel every character's emotion. I loveeeed this story! it deserves ten stars!

Raging Blue, the first work I've read by this author, follows the trials and tribulations of trust-fund baby Blue Holiday, the wife of a alcoholic professional athlete and philanderer Jaylin, who is rightly on his way to becoming a "has-been." When a drunken jealous rage leads to physical altercation between the couple, Blue decides it's time to stop the madness...only she runs into the welcoming arms of the one man Jay trusts the most. Oooh, drama.

Mia, on the other hand, is a professional ho who has several athletes on the hook to keep her in the life to which she has become accustomed. When she finds out she's in the family way, she needs to find a baby daddy to set her up for a lonnnng time--and the ideal choice for Mia is far less than ideal to everyone else. Double drama.

Gavin, best friend of Jay and friend to Blue, is a good guy trying to be supportive to the people he cares about. But a lingering feelings for the woman of his dreams may ruin things with Lisa, his new reality. Triple drama.

Will Blue, this emotional ball of tears, finally pull it together to shake Mr. Wrong and allow herself to be happy with Mr. Right? The drama-filled emotional roller coaster will make you cling to the pages just to see how this tangled web of lies and deceit finally gets resolved. As someone with self-diagnosed ADHD, it is really hard to find books that hold my attention all the way through to the end. This story did the job and then some!

Looking forward to reading more from this author! This is the first but it won't be the last.

Great Story

I've read books by Mrs. Daniel Flager before, and this one was just as good. Some of these characters reminded me of some of my family members, and I laughed so hard I could have fallen out the bed. Now it's time to read part 2
