Another great novel by A.C. Arthur. This novel is filled with steamy romance, an intriguing plot, racy characters and very fresh dialogue that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Reka Boyd is a name that might be remembered from this authors previous novel 'Office Policy'. Well Reka is back with yet another dynamic appearance in this wonderfully erotic and romantic tale. Reka, a paralegal assistant at Pace and Associates 'P&A', law firm is assigned to assist the IT guy in his quest to locate the perpetrator of a series of erotic and highly charged e-mails circulating throughout the office. Khalil Frankin is posing as the IT guy but is actually the devastatingly handsome owner of Franklin Investigations. As a favor to a friend, Kahalil goes undercover to find the mystery person sending e-mails hot enough to leave the firms employees hot and bothered. Only the employees are not the only ones bothered or hot. Reka sparks a flame in Khalil that has him headed for the closest cold shower. I sincerely enjoyed these characters they remind you of everyday people. Especially the ever comical Grammy and Reka's best friend and side-kick Tacoma. You will find that when you are not overheating do to the racy lovin' going on that you're doubled over LOL due to the comical antics of the characters. The writing is excellent. The characters standout and are some of the most memorable I've had the pleasure to read about. The love scenes are extremely sexy and HOT! This novel is a definite MUST read!
This was a love story with mystery about Reka Boyd and Khalil Franklin. They met when he was hired as the IT technician to solve a case of mysterious emails. He instantly became attracted to Real when they first met. Since she was the paralegal at the law firm hit with those emails. Through the ordeal they realized they were falling for each other. This meeting of minds led to their happily ever after.
This story while a love story touched on some very important issues. This story touched on sexual harassment, internet stalking, sexual assault, jealously and revenge. The love between Reka and Khalil was instant and deep. It was good catching up with Ceinna and Keith as well ad Tacoma. I recommend this story.
Good book it pays to have trust in each other trust before you accuse
Good book it pays to have trust in each other trust before you accuse women that can not move on why break up a relationships of the man no longer want you
I'm enjoying this series. I love Reba and her fiest personality she reminds me of myself. I'm glad they were both able to overcome their insecurities and followed their hearts.
I must say I wasn’t too sure about Reka at first in this book. She was introduced in the first book in the trilogy and to say she was something of a hot mess was putting in mildly. She always seemed to have something going on. Fast forward 4 years later and Reka has gotten a college degree, let go of the destructive men in her life, and is living her best life…so she thinks. Entire old school money, current IT guru Khalil, and Reka’s re-thinking her life choices.
Khalil wasn’t looking for another relationship after just breaking off his engagement, but one look at Reka and he just knew she was going to change his life.
Reka really was a hard nut to crack. I wasn’t sure these two were ever going to get together. But the slow burn of this story really added something extra, especially when you just knew something major was going to happen to test the bonds of these two.
The second half of this book really picks up with the threats against Khalil and Reka are revealed. The dramatic and tense scenes had me glued to my seat.
Ready to get to book 3.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.
After hours is amazing. I loved this book will recommend you reading . No matter what your status if you want the change you can and will it's your purpose in life. Live yourself more
This book was so good and definitely more than just a Corporate Seduction. Reka Boyd is the receptionist from Office Policy, but now she has graduated from college, she is a paralegal and has worked hard to turn her life around. Khalil Franklin is a computer geek/private investigator who poses as the IT guy. He is immediately attracted to Reka, but she doesn't make it easy for him. She has been burned by previous relationships and has sworn off men for her own sanity sake. Khalil is saying all the right things and even seems to be the everything he says he is. He is hired by Cinenna and Keith to find out who has been sending sexual explicit emails to the employees of Page and Associates. Tacoma is back and he is as hilarious as ever. We also get to meet Reka's grandmother (Grammy) who is a real character. She will have you laughing out loud and Janell (Reka's mother) is a character too. Khalil may have come from a wealthy family, but his life was only rich with money and not love, which he discovers once he and Reka become involve. He works hard to break down Reka's defenses. Just when she thinks he just might be the man to make her dreams come true, he does something to make her believe she was right not to believe in men. Khalil learns that you can't always believe your eyes. Sometimes you need to dig a little deeper, because looks can be deceiving. There are some twists and turns in this story that will make it hard for you to put it down. Tacoma and Reka are definitely partners in crime and prove you need to be careful who you piss off. I really hated for this story to end it was so good. I highly recommend reading it.
Khalil was a man that knew what he wanted. Reka was afraid to go for what she wanted, but once she did, then the passion ignited. There is laughter, love, passion and jealousy, but also surprises, and oh no moments. Tacoma and Grammy, keeps you in stitches, and Keith and Cienna are still going strong. This was definitely a great read, and I recommend this book.
In this game of seduction the ball is in her court. Will Khalil resist the lure of Reka and all she has to offer. His investigation may go a little wide of its mark. He may have to do a little over time with Reka.
It was a lovely way to spend my day off, doing what I love to do most, snuggle up with a good book . I found this book to be a fun easy read, it was sexy and humorous. And boy I love me some Granny. Keep up good work Adrienne!!!
Where all these rich perverts come from. Reka got her act together since Office Policy and almost seemed like a different person. Khalil and Reka were good for each other. Great read.
