About the author

Banning Liebscher was on staff at Bethel Church in Redding, California for eighteen years and founded the ministry Jesus Culture during that time. Banning and his family, along with the Jesus Culture team, relocated to the capital of California where they started a church, Jesus Culture Sacramento. Their vision is to see people encounter God, be empowered in community, and engage their city for revival and transformation. He and his wife, SeaJay, have three children.

I would read this book after my morning Bible and devotional reading. Each chapter starts with a faith filled story that makes you hungry for God to move like that in your own environment. There were many helpful prayers and guided questions which helped me to realign on values and dreams that God has placed on my heart as well as certain limiting beliefs I may still be holding on to. Highly recommend it!

Journey of a World Changer is very practical. It is a 40 day devotional that says it will "...ignite a life that transforms the world." And that is exactly what the book focuses on doing.
It is broken up into 5 sections with a reflection day at the end of each section. Then there are 5 basic components for each day-quote, testimony, discipleship, prayer, activation and further reading. With this set-up, it is an easy to read book, although it did get a bit "busy" on the pages with the different fonts, titles and paragraphs.
This book can go along with Liebscher's other book, "Jesus Culture-Living a Life that Changes the World" but it is good as a stand-alone as well. I would recommend it to anyone really but especially teenagers through 20 somethings.
Overall, the content is very strong and it focuses on practical ways to bring the kingdom of God to earth and truly change the world.
