Curvy bobcat shifter Lainey Robinson is through with men - so she’s fleeing to the most out of the way bed and breakfast she can find, in tiny Blue Moon Junction, Florida. She shows up expecting privacy, peace and quiet. What she gets is total chaos - she’s landed right in the middle of the local Alpha’s wedding week.
Worse, some crazy love psychic is insisting that Lainey crash the wedding because her fated mate will be there, tensions are running high between the Blue Moon Pack and a rival pack, and a gorgeous wolf shifter is either suspiciously interested in Lainey, or just suspicious of her.
Georgette St. Clair writes hot, sexy romances starring Alpha heroes. The road to love may be rocky and fraught with peril (and humor and scorchtastic sex and healthy heapings of snark), but her shifters will stop at nothing to claim the women they love.
Georgette has worn many hats in life: newspaper reporter, EMT, internet marketer, cocktail waitress, temp, nurse’s aide (not in chronological order).
When she’s not rescuing fur-babies, she spends her days in a fantasy universe where she nudges her smart-mouthed, take-no-gruff heroines onto paths which will set them on a collision course with true love.
Bobcat shifter Lainey Robinson is hiding out pretending she is her best friend after her parents and supposed fiancee betrayed her. Vacationing in Blue Moon Junction is just what she needs, but when the town's psychic declares she will meet her fated mate at the Alpha's wedding she doesn't know what to think. Throw in a hot alpha male named Tate who has a bunch of precocious siblings and a missing tiara you have a romance in the making but when her past is revealed will he still stand by her side?
This was a lot of fun. I thought Tate's family was a hoot and thoroughly enjoyed the other characters in the story. Lainey had problems understanding the welcoming response of the people in Blue Moon because she had not had that before. Highly entertaining.
No matter which side of the divide you fall on, dog or cat, this couple is sure to touch your heart. The characters are amazing! The author put so much detail into their personalities, and added to the details of the location from the previous book, that I felt like I could join the ladies for a class of mint julep. I love how there were so many layers to the story and how family is their top priority. The author gave this couple plenty of obstacles to overcome and twists in the road to their HEA, but that’s what made the story so amazing. This book was so entertaining and I was enthralled until the very last page.
Running away from her cheating fiance, bobcat shifter Lainey Robinson ends up in Blue Moon Junction, Florida, where alpha wolf shifters love curvy women. There, she meets her fated mate, Tate Calloway, who hasn't had much luck with relationships since he took custody of his six youngest siblings after his parents' deaths. However, with a psychic premonition, a wedding saboteur, a jewelry thief and a missing dead body, they'll have a lot to deal with before their relationship could come together.
This is another cute novella in the Blue Moon Junction series by Georgette St. Clair. It's a little busier than the first book, since it needs to wrap up plot points from that one (the wedding and wedding sabotage), as well as introducing Lainey, Tate, and their families. The book could have been a little longer so the pace could have slowed down a bit, but overall, it's a very readable novel.
Lainey Robinson shows up in tiny Blue Moon Junction a shifter town during prime wedding time. The Alpha is getting married, the bride’s tiara has been stolen and guess who just might be a suspect. Well that just might take a back seat because she has caught the eye of Deputy Tate neighboring alpha and parent to a bunch of cute siblings who just love to get in trouble, hence why he is still single.
Lainey has her secrets, alphas hates secrets but Tate knows she smells greats, feels greats and his siblings haven’t killed her.
I am really feeling this author, I read her Big Beautiful Witches did not see any other books then kept checking on her and she had a whole backlist, love when authors do that. This is book two in her Blue Moon Junction series but can be read alone. The town is full of kooks and that makes for great reading especially when they know they are kooks. Lainey is running from a family of uptight bobcat shifters who want to blend into Philadelphia money and ignore their shifter roots they are all about the money honey. She takes a chance by snapping up a vacation to Blue Moon, she does have a big secret which Tate finds out, clutch those pearls (it’s not really that bad) she did it for good reason, this is a romance novel you know it is going to end well.
Straight to the Swagger: Funny, small town shifter romance with an alpha who has small siblings he is raising bringing the funny and a Bobcat shifter climbing trees to rescue those kids. Oh there is XXX as well, yes XXX.
Fun read. It seems I've been leaning towards some more serious material lately, so it was nice to have something lighter to entertain me. As always with this author, the writing style was very good--easy to follow. The book wasn't very long, so there was not much room to get engrossed with the plot, but it had a nice amount of romance and suspense. My only complaint is I wish the author would have had the heroine make the hero suffer a little more. I felt the hero messed up a couple of times, but the situations just sort of cleared up quickly. I think I'm just in the mood for a good grovel!
The Bobcat's Tale is a light, fluffy read that doesn't take itsself or its characters seriously. The love story is cute and the conflict is pretty stress free. While there were plot points that had the potential to be deep and moving, the author kept everything on the shallow side. It was a quick read with a plot that required little brain power to follow and left the readers' emotions pretty even keeled.
An enjoyable read that has lots happening all whilst the alpha wedding/mating from book one is happening. Lainey is hiding out for a couple of weeks due to a family problem. I enjoyed this book but whilst I can understand that Lainey was trapped by the lies of the past, she could still have stood up to her mother a bit more. She was a bit of a doormat in that area but I loved how protective she was of her brother. Tate was wonderful. I loved how he supported Lainey and untangled the problem. Great ending on all fronts with the imposter and the brother. Read and reviewed years ago but reviews are missing.
This was a well written story. I fell for the well developed characters. They are very easy to like and you keep turning the pages so you can see how their story turns out! The storyline is well paced, action packed, and engaging beginning to end. I loved the audio option.
I always enjoy georgette’s stories. They are light, steamy and fun to pass the time. I don’t think I could read them back to back, even if from the same series, because despite different plots and story lines there are some elements that are always the same (like a self-conscious plus size ladies, alpha male who loves curves, etc). Worth a read.
This is a light fluffy listen for me. It's a simple storyline. There is conflict but it gets resolved pretty easily and quickly. I would say pick this up if you want something light and entertaining that you don't have to think about too much.
I love paranormal books and this one was no different!! I also love books with different characters set in the same town. That dynamic allows you to really get to know your characters!!!
Yes sirree another good one . Bobcat and a wolf.. good action.. loved that Tate takes care of his siblings.. parents died and he raised them.. there's 12 altogether.. that's a lot of responsibility for a young man . But Georgette st. Clair did it again..
Also, the M wrongly assumes the F is engaged and refuses to hear her side of the story and when he accidently finds out she just magically forgives him?
I'm really enjoying the series and loved this book, a great addition to the series. It had me interested from start to finish. Great plot, great character building, great characters and well written.
I was really exhausted this morning after working all night and well into the day. So, when I crawled into bed at 2PM, I grabbed my reader to do a bit of what I call my "selfish" reading. Usually PNR, it allows me to relax, have a cup of decaf tea, and prepare myself for sleep.
Flipping through my PNR shelf, I came across The Bobcat's Tale" by Georgette St. Clair. Now you have to realize, that shelf is all books that I have read in the past and enjoyed as a little self indulgence. Pulling it up, my brain went "Ah-HA!" You see, I knew I had read something of hers before and had really liked it. But since her readers have mostly become the BDSM crowd, I haven't read anything by her lately. Ugh. Shiver. Anyway! I read longer than I should have this afternoon, then didn't wake till 1AM, sigh. But it was worth it. If you have self confidence issues, pick this one up. If you like a good BBW PNR, pick this up. Just pick it up, will ya? This isn't brain surgery, but it is certainly relaxing, and fun to boot. With a bit of a mystery tossed in as well.

I just finished “The Bobcat’s Tale” by Georgette St. Clair. I had read it quite some time ago, and ran across it again while I was organizing my shelves. The book really touched a very hurt part of me. Like the main character, Lainey, I had a very rough family life, very similar to hers. I always heard “fat, stupid and lazy!” Pretty much like Lainey. Well, I may have had curves, but I was far from stupid, though I admit to being somewhat lazy ;-)
So often we are bullied into being something we are not, when what we are is perfectly fine, just as it is. I really admire Ms. St. Clair for writing a book which helped me understand that, just because I am not perfect in someone else’s eyes, I can be perfectly who I am!
There are plenty of reviews that will give you a synopsis of the book, so I will review the details. This book is fine as a stand alone, but do not deprive yourself of the opportunity to get to know all of the hilarious characters in the small town of Blue Moon Junction. Please visit them in The Alpha Claims A Mate, you will love the book (it is priced right) and it will have you laughing before page three which will also have you laughing at The Bobcat's Tale by page 2...
I loved the story, I related to and would want the heroine to be a personal friend. She is imperfect, aware of it and although sensitive due to her background also does her best to stand tall. The hero is total book boyfriend material here, hot and hunky with a heart of gold. This book is packed with action, some mystery, some misunderstandings with a large dose of gossip and more than one HEA.
The thing I like most about this book are the characters in the small town of Blue Moon Junction.
I sincerely hope that author Georgette St. Clair (my favorite author of 2013) will return to Blue Moon Junction often as I believe her creative mind will continue to spin many quality tales in this small town setting. I bet there are characters we've come to know with friends and visitors I am sure are already dancing in the author's head waiting to have their own story in and around Blue Moon Junction.
This book continues the craziness that is the Blue Moon Junction. There's all sorts of shifters, all sorts of small-town drama, and oodles of mystery!
Lainey is a bobcat shifter and determined to run away from all her problems. Her family is trying to force her into an arranged marriage, so to hide from them she is trying to pretend to be her best friend and hide out in this small town. Too bad for her, the town is filled with "love psychics" and some very interested wolf shifters that are doing everything they can to lure her out of her shell. There was some name confusion, but once you get past that, it was an easy and fun read.
It was nice to watch this girl who has been beaten down really "bloom" in this very special town. Tate and his crazy family were definitely the highlight of this read. He's got tons of brothers and sisters that just keep getting into trouble. That's probably the real thing that brings Tate and Lainey together - the way she is with all the kids. It was a happy ending for everyone involved.
The Bobcat's Tale is Georgette St. Clair's second book in her Blue Moon Junction series. Each book can be read as a stand alone but the characters from the first book feature heavily in this book so I do recommend reading the first book, The Alpha Claims a Mate.
In The Bobcat's Tale, Lainey Robinson flees her family for a two week vacation in the small town of Blue Moon Junction. Lainey was looking for peace and quiet but the town is swarming with shifters for the upcoming wedding of Loch & Ginger (from The Alpha Claims a Mate). Besides romance, the story features some mystery, some adventure, and lots of great characters. The one major reason I love Georgette St. Clair's stories is they feature a little bit of everything. Highly recommend!
Let me start by saying that I only got through the first chapter of this story, so I didn't finish this, obviously. There were just way too many red flags going off for my liking.
RED FLAGS: 1. The main character, Lanie, is big (not really an issue if that were the only red flag) 2. Lanie has issues with her mom (Ginger had issues with her mom) 3. Lanie is in town for two weeks (Ginger was in town for two weeks) 4. Lanie had an assy ex-boyfriend that she was already talking about in just the first chapter (Ginger was constantly talking about her ex-boyfriend)
Needless to say, the author didn't do anything new with the main character besides her being a bobcat. With the similarities, I have no urge to continue reading this series.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is a fantastic start to my year of reading. As usual I skipped the few pages of graphic sex, but the plotline more than made up for the gratuitous nudity. I love this story of a big girl (okay she's a bobcat shifter) who finds her man (so what if he's an Alpha Wolf shifter?). Her venomous mother, and well I'll let you read the rest before I have to mark this for spoilers. This humorous tale of a big girl that found her knight in grey fur is well worth the (short) time it takes to read.
It was a sweet story! I really loved Tate, had a been dealt a blow having to look after his siblings. His an alpha male who loves his family very much but he was still lonely, all round sexy lovely guy and Kat(Lainey), had a terrible time with her family and ex-fiance. She had low self asteem and trust little when it came to her looks but she was a real sweetie. The two of them made a really lovely couple with lots of chemistry
Loch & Ginger are getting married. The county is crazy with preparations. Lainey is there to escape her insane parents. Meeting Tate is a plus. But can she get closer to him? She's never been anywhere like Blue Moon & she likes it. Marigold lives at the boarding home with Henry helping her great aunt run it.
There's been a theft. Someone is vandalizing the grounds of the wedding.
It is an interesting mystery / love story. I enjoyed it.
