Honor Bound. The first book in the Johnny Harlow Western series. Left for dead by outlaws who slaughtered his friends and stole his boss’s cattle, Johnny Harlow is rescued by a wandering family. As he recovers, Johnny forms a bond with the family’s daughter, but his sense of duty clashes with his desire for revenge and redemption. Haunted by guilt over his failure to protect his friends and employer, Johnny embarks on a quest to right the wrongs done to them. However, his pursuit of justice leads him into a web of danger and betrayal, where enemies multiply with each step. Johnny’s journey to reclaim his honor pushes him to his limits, testing his resolve and resilience in a thrilling tale of vengeance and self-discovery.
Johnny landed in a gully. He reached down for his six-shooter and felt around the empty holster. Darn, I forgot to put the loop back. His field of vision was shrinking. He heard more shots and shouting. His body wouldn’t listen to him when he tried to move toward the top of the gully. I did see something. Should’ve called Arie.
If you want to know more about the history of the folks in this story after reading this, you can go back and Never Enough (A Matt Teeson Western Book 1) Teeson’s Creek (A Matt Teeson Western Book 2) Teeson’s Creek Justice (A Matt Teeson Western Book 3) Teeson’s Troubles (A Matt Teeson Western Book 4)
While not an active part of this story, it was great to see some of the characters from the Teeson Ranch again and expect to see them in the next book. This book was a good read. Got hooked on it quickly and it was tough to put down. If you are a western fan, this will more than satisfy you
I am not sure if I liked the story or not. It does not have a good reading flow. Too much choppiness. Characters being wrong. Okay in action and intrigue. Good main character
This story, from beginning to end, captured and held my interest. This story is very well put together. There are no intentional pauses, and when the pertinent story information on a paragraph has been related, the next begins.
If you love westerns I think you should enjoy this book. The old white hat black hat type of story of good against evil that I have come to love about good westerns.
