Lisa Daniels is a (young) retired school teacher who resides in Miami. After five years of teaching, Lisa Daniels found that it wasn’t quite the world that she wanted to inhabit. After leaving her position, she moved to Miami. She hasn’t regretted it.

In her worlds, Lisa Daniels creates characters that go beyond the usual narrative. While they definitively include romance, Lisa Daniels strives to make the worlds more real with characters that are more than just cardboard cutouts of the genre. Lyla is a bounty hunter and good at her job. However, Theophilus Hill kept evading her and the law and she was starting to get annoyed. So finally, she got on an airplane to hunt him down. However, it was the flight that ended up going thru a portal and crashing onto Frost Mountain, with no way off it once again. I feel really bad for the people who aren’t born there and end up there. Fate is kinda mean to them, but at least some of them are finding their fated mates. Tristan is on the run from Angus Denning’s men, from the village of Elorn as Angus’ sons were killed and Tristan’s family has been cursed for generations. Tristan is trying to avoid Angus & his men and get to his sister’s, Ariadne. Finding out the reason for the bad blood between the siblings broke my heart. Lyla thinks that Tristan is who she is hunting and things go crazy from there on out. I was really impressed with how she survived on the mountain. Some crazy stuff happens in the book and I read it with awe and loads of cursing and muttering with my AC on, because Lyla and Tristan are steamy together. I loved the ending, and can’t wait to see what happens next.

A MOUNTAIN MAN CHRISTMAS is the ninth installment in the Holiday Shifters of Frost Mountain Series by Lisa Daniels and Scarlett Stone. This is another well-written and entertaining short story set around the Holidays and follows two people discovering each other.

Lyla's a bounty hunter chasing a vicious killer when the plane she's on suddenly falls apart in midair. Somehow Lyla  survives, but now she's on a snowy mountain, all alone. Then the first person she sees is her perp. Catching up she surprises him with her titanium cuffs. Now to find the authorities on this forsaken frozen mountain so she can get back home. Get ready as these two discover that all is not as it seems and they must work together to evade those chasing her captive. 

There are a few typos, but this is still a good fun holiday romance. It is a little steamy and full of love and warmth, family conflict, even a curse. You'll find it entertaining right from the beginning.

'A Mountain Man Christmas' is yet another good story in the Frost Mountain series by Lisa Daniels. This one is about a woman bounty hunter named Lyla who survives a plane crash on Frost Mountain and finds herself involved in another fugitive chase even though it is in a strange new world and the fugitive is not the same one she was chasing back on Earth. Tristan finds himself fleeing for his life when the sons of the village leader are slain by a ferocious werewolf and people suspect him to be the culprit. While he is on the run, a woman he has never seen before joins the chase and captures him by handcuffing herself to him. Only after she does that, does she realize that she does not know who he is. So ironically, she finds herself being the one chased for the first time.

I liked Lyla. She is set in her way of thinking who is guilty and who is innocent. And she thinks everyone is guilty, including Tristan. I loved all of the ways he proved her wrong.
Tristan is running for his life. His family has a curse hanging over their heads. Plus his sister's attitude towards him isn't good. I also liked how that was resolved.
As with all of the other books in this series , it is a standalone.
This one to me had a cute HEA.
This all starts as a mistaken identity and turns to an adventure of trying to solve a few problems. The twists were good. Slow burn to the romance.

A human woman and a male wolf shifter!

A human woman wakes up after a plane crash and can't believe that nothing is broken in her body. She decides to head down the mountain that the plane crashed on. A male wolf shifter is heading to his sister's cabin down the mountain from the town he lived in. You will have to read the book to find out what all happens to everyone. Plenty of twists and turns. Happy reading!

A grate read

From one time zone in to another a place called frost mountain that is a prison for shifters who were cursed by a black witch. For there blood line to transform into a wearwolf to kill anyone in it way of it shifter or human it did not matter who it was for them thy were the enmiey.I would like to say thank you for all your hard work and may fortune smile 😃on you always 😁from a bookworm that loves to read

Lyla is a bounty hunter on the trail of a serial killer when her plane crashes on Frost Mountain. Tristan is a wolf shifter who is on the run because of a crime he didn't commit. I love how the author brought Lyla and Tristan together and how being handcuffed to each other leads to a love story. A Mountain Man Christmas is book nine and a great addition to the Holiday Shifters of Frost Mountain series. This is a well written, shifter romance with interesting twists, danger, steam, and a happily ever after. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Great story but I don't think I want a Christmas like they're having.I think the survivors should have a big party.
