A Prodigal Son's Journey Home

Rate this book
Not your typical author, August "Auggie" Roberts Jr. came to writing later in his life. He shares his humble words in this book to give others encouragement on their path to God, to cry out for the demise of the 65-million-plus unborn babies aborted in the United States, and to champion the cause against killing the little ones through abortion.

He laughs when he says that his parents must have had a vision of his life and named him after St. Augustine, who led a rebellious and morally loose life before he came to know God and is famously quoted as asking God, “Lord, give me chastity and continence, but not yet!” The iconic saint led a life of sinful adventures, very similar to the life of the author.
August came to spirituality gradually as the emptiness of his life became increasingly apparent to him. As the Lord opened his eyes, he began his new journey. Writing became an outlet by the movement of the Holy Spirit.

Inside, the “Perpetual Prodigal” chapter includes a form of self-confession and repentance. Through very personal words, August chronicles his sins and the grace that saved him.
