She has been called the Blessed Virgin, the Mother of God, the Queen of Heaven, Mother of Perpetual Help, Queen of Peace, and Mother of Mercy. But by any name and in every age, Mary has been the beloeved bringer of solace, hope, and faith to the world.
In this lovely giftbook, designed in the popular "365" format, Woodene Keonig-Bricker presents daily words of wisdom from Mary--including miracles, blessings, ectasies, and healings. Drawn from Scripture, legend, and study, 365 Mary offers the world a powerful invitation to prayer, foregiveness, hope, and love.
I tried to read this book every morning this year to start my day. Each day had a title, information about the topic, a question to ponder, & a prayer.
A nice book to browse at night or end of the day (or early in the day) to glean a possible inspiration or insight. While the title may seem very Catholic (my own childhood upbringing), these daily observations are much more broad-based, I think. The first two I turned to were for the feast day of La Virgen de Guadalupe and another on the value of daily meditations--both very interesting to me.
This is a daily devotional book...so, I am still reading it. Sometimes the message really resonates with me, but mostly I have a difficult time relating to this author's view of Mary.
