First, I want to congratulate this author! As a writer myself, I cannot imagine the joy and accomplishment she must be feeling to have her novel out there for the world to see!
3.5 - The premise of this book was so interesting. And while I had a few questions and a few issues with some parts of the book, the overall plot was exciting and kept me intrigued.
*I noticed a few verb tense issues a few times but I'm just weird like that. *The romance was written very nicely. Swoony but clean which is my favorite kind! *I didn't exactly find Valarie that likable to me. Maybe I needed a little more information of her background and more fleshed-out about why perfection was so important. Maybe some flashbacks to moments with her mom or something. *The pace was off for me. The beginning was pretty slow in some ways and then the last like 1/4th of the book was so fast I felt like I had whiplash. Some of the sweet moments I wanted to be just a little longer. They felt like they ended too quickly for me. *The ending was rushed in my opinion and it utterly wrecked me honestly.
Overall, I think it was a good first book. I don't want to give away spoilers so I won't go into the questions I had about the book. But we can discuss in the comments if you want to know!
The story is told from the POV of Valarie Thompson, a successful real estate agent, soon to be married to her soul mate, Theodore Burns. Valarie has spent her life trying to paint a perfect version of herself for the sake of others. In her pursuit of perfection, her life unravels after a fall into a mysterious lake, propels her into another world. In this world, there are swords and clans and mythical beasts. In this world, there is also Theodore, but not as Valarie knows him. This Theodore has a sword pointed at her neck.
I picked this one up from Amazon after stumbling across the author on Instagram. This is her debut novel and I'm all for supporting new authors. I liked the look of this book purely from the cover art alone, but when I read the synopsis, it intrigued me. I'm usually a thriller girl with the odd romance or historical novel thrown in, so I don't usually delve into the fantasy world, but I'm so glad I did! It turns out this is exactly the escape from reality I didn't know I was looking for.
I don't usually enjoy overly descriptive books but I loved the descriptions in this one, I really felt like I had fallen through that lake and was right there with Valarie. There was a moment in the middle of the book where I felt like I needed more action, and then the pace picked up and I was screaming noooo less action now! The ending got me good and now I desperately need Audrey Webb to hurry up and finish book 2, so I can go back to Arborus and find out what happened!
This book has definitely convinced me I need to pick up more fantasy fictions.
This was ok. I enjoyed parts of it. Seems to copy Outlander pretty strongly. The writing is a bit choppy, but the romance was nice. Pacing isn’t great.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book because I was in a book slump after reading the Light Lark series. At first, I was kind of confused with the character. I wasn’t sure what she was gonna decide, but I’m always indecisive so I feel similar to her. I enjoyed the plotline so much. I enjoyed how she somehow fell into another world and she was able to realize within herself. She is capable of more than what she thought she was and became a stronger woman. There was a lot of plot twists. I was not ready for, but it kept me on the edge of my seat, and I kept having to turn the next page and I could not put this down at all. I enjoyed all the character building and it really felt like you were in the book and you were really there. I enjoyed the story very much, especially with Valerie and everything that happened to her but also the ending I was not ready for. However, it does make me excited and hoping for a second book because I would love to see what happens next to her, but also what happens to her and her love interest. I just can’t wait to see what happens next I highly recommend this author. It kept me on the edge of my seat if you’re ever in a book slump by highly recommend this book.

Line Between Two Worlds by Audrey Webb is an amazing story. Written with such great care and vivid description, you can picture everything that's written on the page.
An amazing story of adventure, love, grief and acceptance that grips you with each word. The beasts that plague the land, a wonder created by the author that's descriptions are something to awe over. The lore of the world is amazing and there is still more to explore with what comes next.
With amazing characters that hold strong in personality and growth. They will grab hold of your heart and squeeze it for all its worth as each chapter goes by.
So, if you're looking for a Mideval Fantasy with great characters, feral monsters and world fractured by war and the ghosts of the past. Line Between Two Worlds by Audrey Webb is a must read.
Valarie is a real estate agent obsessed with being perfect. She’s then thrust into a parallel world where there are beasts in the forests and her fiancé is trying to kill her.
Holy moly this book was amazing! 🤩 I cannot cannot cannot wait until the sequel. I need it now. What an ending!
This book does end in a cliffhanger so I will be kicking myself until book 2 comes out. But man is it worth it. I loved our FMC she was so realistic, I found myself constantly rooting for her and I was pleasantly surprised at her character development. She was so strong and resilient. The MMC was so mysterious and interesting, I loved him so much haha can’t wait to see what happens next. This was such a great escape, the world building was done really well.
I recently had the pleasure of delving into the enchanting pages of "Line Between Two Worlds," a wonderful book, penned by none other than my talented wife.
The narrative effortlessly weaves through realms of imagination, drawing readers into a world where the line between reality and fantasy blurs seamlessly. The characters are vividly brought to life, each with a depth that adds a layer of authenticity to the entire story.
It's an excellent book, and I am excited to see what follows in the series!
Prepare to be enchanted! This novel is an absolute must-read!! Webb transports you to a mesmerizing world filled with intrigue and adventure! Her storytelling is a breath of fresh air that brings to life a realm where every page is a portal to wonder. Her characters are relatable each with their own charm and depth, all of whom have a special place in my heart. The story keeps you in the edge of your seat as twists and turns abound. Great story and page turner! I am buying this book for all my friends and family!
I love this book! It's very enrapturing and keeps your attention throughout the whole book! It has the best and favorite tropes of every romance reader and is very unique in the plot. This is a must read book! Valerie the main character really grows into herself throughout this book and is very relatable too!
the character voice is consistent and realistic. I enjoyed all the moments I nodded and said yep that is exactly how I thought Valarie would act or what she would say. my favorite scene is when Val is "collecting flowers" which could also be worded peeping on Theo. leading to the perfect double entendre "If looks could kill, I’d be dead right now"
Audrey Webb has done an amazing job drawing us in to her writing, and allowing us to immerse ourselves in the world of her characters.
As an up-and-coming new author, Audrey's ability to create depth and understanding to her characters is amazing. I was enthralled with this book, and can't wait for Book 2 to come out and continue the storyline!
Spoke has an interesting concept but is pretty clearly in need of professional editing. Incomplete sentences, slightly contradictory paragraphs, etc. jar the reader out of the story. It’s a decent debut, but reads more like a first draft than a polished story
I was lost in the amazing world. The characters and their growth was amazing. I was able to grasp the feeling as the change occurred. Definitely recommend this story and can’t wait for the second part! Thank you for sharing this amazing world.
While this book was a little simple in its writing, I enjoyed it right to the end. If you are a fan of outlander but want something easier to digest, give Line Between Two Worlds a go.
I definitely see this book fitting well in early teen fiction, great for 13-15yr olds.
This book took me by surprise. I found out about this book through Instagram and have been trying to branch out into fantasy books with no spice. This is the first book I found in my no spice quest, and it was amazing! Absolutely five stars. Highly recommend. Cannot wait for the second book to find out what happens next. This is a very talented new author, and I hope she continues writing more!
I really enjoyed this. I loved watching the FMC start to realize what love really is and that, while Ted was a good man, they didn’t truly love each other. Really hoping Theo somehow makes it out alive for book two. 😬 Eagerly awaiting book two!
