A missed turn, the wrong doorstep, and the right guy?

What was meant to be a romantic retreat in the picturesque town of Icicle Creek with her boyfriend becomes an unexpected solo adventure for Wren Alexander. Newly single, she arrives on the wintry mountain armed with romance novels, canned wine, and a passion for the unexpected. Fate intercedes when a missed turn, an accidental doorstep, and an encounter with a grumpy yet irresistibly handsome neighbor challenges all her ideas of what this trip could be.

Adrian Winter, grappling with the weight of managing his grandparents' cabin after a heartbreaking loss, is taken aback by the arrival of the radiant Wren on his doorstep. Despite leaving his playboy days behind, Wren's presence sparks a resurgence of emotions, prompting him to question the depths of his heart.

As reality comes to their door, they find themselves losing the battle against their feelings. Amidst a snowstorm, a couple of canine escapades, and an unexpected plunge into a river, Wren and Adrian discover that love often appears when least expected—even on the wrong front porch. Now, they must decide if their connection is strong enough to weather all that life throws their way.

I was lucky to get an early copy of this book! It was a perfect cozy winter read but filled with enough spice to make it hot. Loved it and love the seasonal theme with the series. I can’t wait for the next book!

This is my first read by Linnea March and I was lucky enough to get an arc copy! Wrens winter was a nice quick read and was a very low stress palate cleanser. I love a good story where the girl who recently had her heart broken by a loser ex finally gets a man who treats her right! The spice, whit and banter all delivered in this book.

A winter romance that will leave you scorching.

This small town, forced proximity, handsome grumpy neighbor vs. sweet sunshine heroine, winter seasonal romance will have you dressing up in wool sweaters and heading into the mountains to find yourself your very own grumpy local with a heart of gold.

Wren is a sweetheart young woman taking advantage of a winter destination cabin in the mountains after her boyfriend broke up with her. What was supposed to be a special vacation for her and her ex is now a trip for her to lick her wounds and readjust back to single life. Problem with tourists is they never know how to navigate the snowy mountain roads. After Wren slides into a snow drift and cell service is nonexistent, she walks the remaining short distance to her rented cabin only to end up at the wrong one.

Adrian Winter is the former playboy of his small town, now current grumpy high school English teacher. He opted for solitude in his cabin he inherited after his loving grandparents passed. Something about being in his grandparents’ space has given him a change of heart. One night stands don’t hold the same appeal as finding the kind of love his grandparents shared. Problem is, he doesn’t think he’ll get that lucky…not until he comes home to his cabin to find a beauty on his porch trying to break into it.

There was so much to love with this book. The interactions between these main characters will have you chuckling. Their banter and flirting made them the perfect couple. The humor! Oh, the humor. That hot tub ending had me cackling. LOL. The spice will have you squealing with delight. I don’t know if it’s because Adrian is an English teacher, but, wow, does he know how to swoon you with words. The side characters are delightful, and play into the “everybody knows everybody’s business in a small town” vibe. Trudy the cleaning lady was hilarious. But if I ever saw Buck—Wren’s ex—I would punt him into tomorrow. And Adrian’s parents need a lesson in manners. All these characters just added to this great story, keeping me turning the pages.

If you’re looking for a feel good romance that will make you giggle and restore your faith in a HEA, this is the one for you.

Thank you to Linnea March and Book Sirens for this steamy romance novel, out now!

This book had me hooked from the beginning! The small town romance trope was the perfect cleanser and mood lifter.

When Wren, currently mending a broken heart from her breakup, runs her car into a snowbank, she feels like nothing will go her way. She’s heading to Icicle Creek, her birthday trip, that she paid for from her now ex boyfriend, and can feel the despair growing. She pumps herself up, denies the lingering doubts, and sets for the small cabin out in the distance.

When she can’t figure out how to get inside, doubt creeps back in. But when a car pulls up, she’s hoping it’s Agatha, the owner of the rental. But ooooh la la! It’s a tall, dark, smoldering hot man, she’s taken back. He helps her into her rental, and they’re both instantly hot and bothered.

As he continues to help her with her car, groceries, and neighborly things… things start to really take off. 🥵

Initiate spice level!!

Wren doesn’t believe this could turn into anything more than a fling, Who could ever want her? She questions herself, her life, her goals… and even though she’s very confident at times, we see her stumble while navigating her newfound feelings.

Aidan isn’t the settling down type; he enjoys the tourists who come and go, and is comfortable living his secluded life. Sometimes miscommunication happened, but for the most part, they were open to one another which I appreciated! She’s used to caring for everyone, like her ex, and Aidan is used to doing it all on his own.

I really love these palate cleanser romances, where the story is a feel good, great binge read, with some hot, steamy scenes! The author did a great job with those! 🎉 I loved how Ween spread her wings and put herself first, and how Aidan grew from that grumpy next door playboy to… well, you just have to read it to find out!

I will be reading more from this author, as this was the first time I dove into her novels!

Easy read, tinder romance with humorous elements.

Can a book be sweet plotted yet like tinder when it comes to the chemistry between the characters??? I’m asking because this is exactly how I would describe WREN’S WINTER, my latest read from Author Linnea March.

I loved her Prevalent Notion Rockstar series so when the opportunity came up to read this new set of inter-related characters, I jumped at it, even if it’s on the lighter scale of my typical reading pleasure. The plot line is reasonably sweet and low angst yet also carried some hot heat about it especially around the humorous naughty flirting between Wren and Adrian our perpetually sunny and grumpy characters.

He was our gorgeous dirty talking hero who loved women, a lot of women in typical playboy fashion. That moment though, when he espied Wren on his front porch changed the trajectory of his life and everything he knew to be true about himself and his relationship beliefs. Suddenly he wanted one.

Meeting the parents can provide an awkward moment capitalised by romance writers, and Ms March gave Adrian a set who were a real piece of work. It was no wonder he had little faith in what a relationship looked like. I loved and admired Wren’s concern for him after meeting his parentals and she was right – Parents really should be their children’s biggest cheerleaders, and his most certainly were not!

What was meant to be a week getting away and over being dumped by her selfish and narcissistic boyfriend was an enlightening introduction to be treated like the attractive beautiful hearted lady that she was. She’d never been treated with precious generosity, so didn’t know that such men existed, and Adrian was more than happy to be that man.

Pure hot romance and easy humour with a side of miscommunication made for great reading, and I’m rapt to have picked up another book from Linnea March. Recommended reading from me at 5-tinder-romance-Stars 🖤💞✶

Wren has always been a people pleaser, always putting everyone else ahead of what she wanted or needed. After being dumped and finding out the trip planned for her belated birthday was actually paid for on her credit card. What should she expect he never really ever did anything for her it was always the other way round, she cooked, she cleaned, she went where he wanted and always heard "Wrenny can you" or "Wrenny where is". Enough was enough this long weekend break was something for her, no men, no whining just doing exactly what she wanted. Until she ends up in a snow drift, then after trudging up a hill pulling her suitcase, ending up on the wrong porch unable to get into her cabin or was it her cabin. Adrian loved his job working at the high-school teaching English, even though his parents were totally unhappy about it. He also l9ved living in his grandparents old log cabin just outside of town, inheriting it after they passed. He used to be content with the odd hookup with random visitors not needing commitments and relationships. Until he found the beautiful woman on his porch thinking this was her holiday cabin. This is the start of a hilarious mix of mix ups. Will they actually drop the pretense and wake up to what's in front of them. I loved the back and forth between them, and the way Wren finally starts to realise she needs to stand up and speak out when she doesn't agree. I really can't think of anything that I didn't like about this book, steamy in just the right places. I hope you'll enjoybit as much

"I want to keep you. Tell me you're mine."

This was such a feel good, easy read! It gave me the warm and fuzzies. Hot chocs and blankies all round!

Cozy definitely does not equal tame though. March bought the spiceeeeeeee.

Upon starting this review, I had knocked off a star for the multiple use of the word c*nt (gag. Don't get me wrong. I'm British. We call everyone a c-u-next-tuesday. It's the reference to a vagina as a c*nt that gives me the heebie-jeebies) and for the predictability of the plot. However, I have bumped it back up mid-review, purely because of how refreshing it was to have a non-billionaire, teacher, living in a small-town cabin as the MMC.

Anyway, mountain life sounds divine. I've decided I'm a Small Town romance trope kina gal now.

This story was steamy, spicy, and incredibly swoony. A perfect way to start off the new month.

This story follows Wren as she is heading out on her birthday trip to Icicle Creek. After being unable to cancel the trip reservation that her now ex-boyfriend booked on her credit card, she decides to make the most out of it and go alone. What she doesn't expect is hot & grumpy Adrian who lives across the street from her vacation rental.

I loved Wren and Adrian's story so much. I really enjoyed instalove/lust in this story, which is not something I usually do. That had great chemistry and the banter was amazing. Adrian is rough and tough on the outside, but a complete softy for Wren. I love all the little ways he shows his love; making her crepes, cute nicknames, & towing her car out of a snow bank.

If you love cinnamon roll MMCs, confident and caring FMCs, and sweet moments that will melt your heart you will want to add this one to your TBR.

Happy release day to Linnea March. Wren's Winter is now available on Amazon and KindleUnlimited.

Thank you Linnea for the ARC copy of Wren's Winter. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review 🖤

When Wren Alexander’s boyfriend dumps her, she decided to retreat to the quaint town of Icicle Creek where it was supposed to be a romantic getaway. Since the trip was non-refundable she decided to enjoy it by herself. When she meets her neighbor, Adrian Winter, she finds him attractive. Not that she’s interested in a fling since she just got out of the relationship with her ex. Adrian is a teacher at the high school and is living in the cabin his grandparents left him when they passed away. He misses them every day. He’s was closer to them than his workaholic parents He also enjoys being single. No one has ever made him think of a relationship in the long term. As they become friends, it’s hard to not let the chemistry take over. Will the two of them continue to dance around their feelings and chemistry? Fate just might surprise the two of them. Will they both realize that they are soulmates? Can they trust Love at first sight? The characters are wonderful. Both deserve a happily ever after. Worth the read. Short and sweet with a little spice. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.

Wren's Winter by Linnea March is a fun, delightful read. Wren decided to go on the non-refundable pre-planned romantic cabin getaway booked before her boyfriend for three years, who she discovered she didn't even like dumped her first. After taking a wrong turn but finding the right road, Wren found her car in a snow drift and had to walk to her cabin up the driveway. Upon arriving, she met Adrian, who lived in the cabin across the way from her rented cabin. Being a helpful neighbor, Adrian fired up her wood-burning stove so Wren could get warm. Adrian continues to be a good neighbor and helps Wren escape the freezing river where she is stuck. He took her inside and shucked her off her Wren's Winter. As their friendship heats up, Adrian and Wren must decide what they want their futures to look like. Add a disgruntled ex, an interfering family, and nosy townspeople, and the drama continues. Linnea March is a writer, that readers can't get enough of her books.

Wren's Winter a perfect title for this romance.

A spicy heartwarming romance with all the feels.

Wren and Adrian were so sweet together. The banter, the chemistry, the romance between them was so lovely.

When Wren takes a wrong turn and ends up on Adrian's front porch they both don't expect the sparks that fly between them.

Adrian is a high school teacher in the small town of Icicle Creek.

Wren has come to Icicle creek alone after a breakup for her birthday weekend which she ended up paying for.

Adrian was so sweet and it was lovely how he took care of Wren. She has always put everyone else first.Absolutely adored Maisie Adrian's canine companion.

A heartwarming small town romance with heat, heart, humour, friendships, romance and a very deserving happily ever after.

Cannot wait for Linnea's next book.

This was a really good book. Wren escaping the blah of her normal life to go to a cabin that she had booked prior and it was nonrefundable so she figured she might as well since she already paid for it. But of course it doesn't go smoothly because why would it. When she finally gets to the cabin that is on her rental agreement she can't get in. Thinking it was the owner she turned around and saw Adrian getting out of his truck. Adrian was the playboy didn't want to settle so life in a tourist town was perfect for him. I loved how he knew from the moment he saw Wren on his porch that Wren was different. They were perfect for each other but of course neither of them voice what they truly want until after a blow up and Adrian realizes he messed up big time. I'm glad he realized and pulled his head out. I really enjoyed every second of this one!!

TLDR: It's a quick, cute read but not a book I'm inclined to read again.

Wren (FMC) goes on a long weekend trip in a mountain town after being dumped by her rich, loser boyfriend of three years. The airbnb she's staying at is next door to one other house where Adrian (MMC) lives. She tries to get into his house due to a miscommunication about addresses, he opens the door to tell her shes got the wrong place, and off their relationship goes.

The main thing that really got under my skin with the book wasn't necessarily the story itself but sentence structure and punctuation. There were parts of the story that just felt poorly composed and could have used more editing or story development. Personally, I don't think that including Adrian's parents into the story really added a lot, he already had other characters telling him about his failures in life and relationships.

“ I’m not sure how to be the man you deserve, but I will spend every day giving it all I have to come close. Don’t leave. Stay here with me”
Wrens Winter by Linnea March follows Wren’s vacation adventure. Wren’s newly single and decided to go on her birthday gift vacation solo after Buck broke up with her. I fell in love with Wren’s determination to enjoy herself on this solo trip.
She ends up at the neighbors porch of the vacation home. Here we meet Adrian, single playboy. Sparks fly for both of them immediately, but no one acts on it. I love their adventures, her confidence boost and his caring, gentleman ways. The comfort portrayed between them is what true love should be. This with the spice was an enjoyable read. I would love to read more of their story and find out what’s next. Go read this now!

Each book by March is a treasure to read and Wren's Winter is no exception. I loved this romance journey. Our main characters are Wren and Adrian. Wren has just been dumped by her good for nothing ex and is now finds herself with a paid vacation get away for her birthday - paid by with her credit card. Well, it's paid for, might as well take advantage - only she finds herself on the porch of her neighbor's cabin - enter Adrian. A local schoolteacher and all-around great guy who helps Wren in all the right ways.
A wonderful warm romance set in the cold and quaint town of Icicle Creek. Amazing characters, wonderful chemistry and a captivating storyline. I loved this read and I can't wait for more!

This was a good read. I loved the characters and the premise for the story. Wren is feeling lost after her longtime (awful) boyfriend ends things. She's caught between realizing she deserves so much more and not quite knowing where her life goes from where she is. Adrian becomes her guide of sorts and he finds himself taking care of her and being there for her even though she's just a visitor to his small mountain town.

I found myself being distracted by many word usage errors, typos, and dialog that felt mechanical and too formal for the characters. This book would shine with a stronger editing pass.

I loved the fated love and meant to be aspects of the story and Adrian is so swoony, it's absolutely delicious.

I really like this one, the store line is kind of like this Wren is kicked out of a bad relationship by a totally self-absorbed man. And I use the word man lightly as he is not anything like a man she deserves (Adrian comes to mind as a better choice.) She goes to a rented cabin gets the wrong one initially and as fate would have it finds the man of her dreams, though years of doubt creep in on both sides of the meeting. They spend time together and shortly are having amazing sex and still doubt is floating around till as we all know sometimes our friends hit us over the head with some common sense and we get it. Not to say Adrian did not have some major groveling to do after some stupid comments and some jumping to unfounded conclusions. The book was very well-done, loved the pace of it and the duel back and forth between the characters.

ARC review:
This book was short and sweet! Not only was there instant attraction between Wren and Adrian but it was more than that, it was like they finally found the person they've been waiting for. But don't be deceived when I say sweet because there is definitely some nice spice too. And a little voyeurism!

Adrian and Wren's story surprisingly was very eventful in the short time after their first meeting. What seemed like an accidental meet-cute turned out to be fate in disguise. Things were hot and heavy fairly quickly between these two but it was immediately obvious it wasn't just lust but something deeper. After going through a very bad breakup with someone who never deserved her Adrian is a nice, refreshing change for Wren. Definitely worth the read!

This gave me all the hallmark sweet, cosy, winter in a small town vibes but with added steam that just makes it better.
There is dirty talk, a bit of exhibitionist / voyeur & some commands but very playful and light.
Wren is not upset over her pre holiday breakup but is questioning the fact it wasn't a relationship with longevity & her job was not a career, she was treading water.
Adrian had been the quintessential playboy enjoying entertaining the tourists but is already changing and wanting more.
I liked the pacing & portrayal of the instant attraction, it isn't OTT and the eventual HEA is realistic & I hate to say, practical.
I'm intrigued by Summer's story and hope that will be next in Icicle Creek.

Wren's Winter is a spicy, instalust/instalove, grumpy-sunshine romance. Wren is a sweet, confident, caring, and feisty girl going on a solo trip for her birthday, after she and her ex broke up and she couldn't get a refund. Now she is headed to Icicle Creek. Adrian is a hunky, grumpy neighbor across the street from her rental. This couple had amazing chemistry, and the banter was flirty and funny. I totally loved Adrian. He was such a cinnamon roll under all his gruffness and took such sweet care of Wren. And we ended on a very happy note. This was my first book by this author but not the last. I loved it.

Wren and her boyfriend were going to a cabin in Icicle Creek, but her boyfriend dumped her. She decided to go alone and met a handsome, kind neighbor who quickly became something special. Adrian was a high school teacher, living in the cabin his grandparents left him. This is where he felt most at home. He was a playboy at heart and not good at relationships but his first look at Wren made him think she was someone special. I liked the characters of Wren and Adrian. Wren did not like her town or her job and the week spent at Icicle Creek introduced her to caring people she did not want to leave behind. It was fun to see Buck, the self-centered boyfriend arriving thinking he could win her back. Good story and great characters.

Embrace the moment

This was a really sweet yet steamy story about Wren and Adrian. Finding the perfect someone to spend your life with is not as easy as it seems. I found it particularly satisfying hearing both Wren and Adrian ‘s thoughts and feelings to understand their inner struggles. After being emotionally hurt, it is just that much harder for both of them to take a chance and be vulnerable once again. It was just so satisfying the way details were shared in the end. Overall, cozy heartfelt story with a hot tub and a cute dog thrown into the mix.

Received as an ARC in return for my honest review.

❄️ Small town
❄️ Accidental voyeurism
❄️ Snowed in
❄️ Seasonal romance

This was my introduction to the Linnea March world and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Whilst this book was a short read at just over 200 pages I felt it was well paced and brilliantly written.

Adrian and Wren were perfect for each other, the journey they went on separately and as a couple was *chefs kiss*. The banter between them was top notch and the spice just hit that spot.

If you’re looking for the ideal small town happily ever after this is definitely it. This is the first in a new four part series and I can’t wait to see where it goes.

Nice storyline, although didn't need all the steam. Enjoyed learning Wren's and Adrian's personalities. Both very likable. Wren was taken back by common courting and manners that Adrian showed to her, so reader realizes that Buck definitely took advantage of her the years they were together. It's the little things and how you are treated daily that shows how your significant treats you.

Found the story realistic, especially with both of the main characters personalities. Of course it wasn't a smooth ride, Buck causes a big hiccup and alumni of Adrian were issues as well. Liked how the story flowed and read.

Wren Alexander and Adrian Winter meet when she tries to get into his cabin instead of the unnumbered rental cabin next door. After abandoning her car in a snowdrift, Wren walks the rest of the way up the driveway, but her rental is not numbered.

Adrian and Wren have immediate chemistry, but tons of misunderstandings cause them to flip/flop about acting on the temptation; yet one thing is clear, Adrian is good for Wren’s emotional well being and definitely boosts her self confidence.

I truly enjoyed the story, it was engaging and had me pulling for the new couple to pull through all their hurdles.

Wrens Winter takes you into a snowy world, where Wren takes a prepaid couples trip by herself, after recently becoming single. Her journey to the cabin was everything but easy. She takes wrong turns, finds herself in a snow drift, and ends up on the porch of the wrong cabin(or was it..).
This was the cabin of Adrian. He inherited it after the passing of his grandparents. Adrian was an English teacher by day, playboy by night…until he met Wren.
This story was instantly relatable, and so well written that I forgot I was reading.

I was hooked from the start of this story. I really connected with the FMC, Wren, and how she felt after being dumped by her long-term boyfriend. The MMC, Adrian, is grumpy but incredibly handsome! He’s also old-school chivalrous: opening doors for the FMC, helping her in and out of his truck, getting her car out of the snowdrift, pulling her chair out for her, etc. I loved the author’s writing style and will be on the look out for the next story in this series. I would highly recommend this book to lovers of small town romances with spice.

You first meet Wren as she drives herself into a snow bank. Then you learn that she’s on this little get-a-way that was supposed to be a celebration, but has now become an escape all thanks to her ex- a jerk who should have lived during the ‘50s. Then enters Adrian- a school teacher who lives in this little town and helps Wren out in a pinch. You’ll get to read along to exploring the town, learning about their histories, and all of the drama that happens when two people only have a long weekend to get to know each other.
