I have read several of Anne Rice's books. I realize that they are all fantasy. If you think 50 Shades of Grey was erotic then it will seem tame to the three books about Beauty.
It's a combination of fairytale meets fantasy meets porn. The writing is very good. Anne Rice molds the characters beautifully and you can follow the story line effortlessly. Although you can not be in a realistic frame of mind when you are reading this series.
Here is where the realistic side of me has a problem with this kind of writing. I don't mean to be graphic but you will realize that you cant help think these things when you are reading it. 1. No one ever gets pregnant. 2. No one ever gets a STD 3. Women don't menstruate. Hate to point out these things but you will think them if you read these books. Not that this will be first and foremost on your mind because well let's face it there is so much explicit detail about everything else that it will just be a after thought.
I gave it a three rating because I wouldn't say this is a series I would re-read but it was entertaining.
If you didn't like the eroticism in 50 Shades of Grey then I would suggest that you don't read this series. That is the only comparison that I would make between the two series of books.
I will post this same review for all three books in this series.

WOW is basically all I can say!!!!!
I read this book because it was on of the challenge reads for my book club (the other options were love story's)
I love erotic but jeeze some of it had me very shocked.
Through out the whole book I was like ummm are there any bathrooms ?!
The male on male action was very intense multiple times in this book I caught myself holding my butt cheeks together lol
I'm curious to see how they other books turn out!!!!

Pretty good. Intense. Once I started connecting with a character, the book was at its end. A bit disappointed about that. But not bad for my first erotica venture.
