Shanna Fitzpatrick grew up with rock stars. She's seen enough to know she doesn't want to date one—let alone three—from two rival bands, no less.
The bossy, much older security specialist who comes with one of those rock stars might be a different story, but she's still hurting a little too badly from past mistakes to find out. After all, a group of unscrupulous men courted her specifically trying to gain access to her family connections. But with another heat on the horizon, she knows she can't put off moving on any longer. Who better to fill her heat with than rock stars? They're perfect for no-strings attached fun. Until the kind of men she always told herself she'd never fall for end up being exactly what she's been missing.
When the past comes back to haunt Shanna can they come together as a pack? Or will old wounds to be too much for them to overcome?
Knot Wanted is a standalone with no cliffhanger! There is no cheating, no choosing, and the focus is completely on the FMC. I always list full content info in the Author's Note.
Do you ever finish a book and think, dayyum, I want more?! When I finished Knot Wanted, I felt desperate for more so you best beleive that I was so excited for that extended epilogue...which if those aren’t for you, shut up. Just read the extra comment like a good girl (or boy).
I loved Shanna so much and I was cheering her fiesty a$$ on throughout this story. I wanted her happiness, she had so much love to give and her “boyfriends” were a bunch of khunts. She had a lot of love to give and babbbbyyyy she was givinnnng.
The guys: Carter - gah, i love him. the character development was 10/10. Jillian did an excellent job addressing his addiction. I loved how dedicated he was to his recovery and the restraint he showed the following year. Jack - such a sweetheart, broody, serious, long term member of Club Heartbreak. Jack was a sweetheart but that mouuuuuth... lawd. Lang- the epitome of a bad boy rockstar. but what a golden retriever, simp for Shanna. I loved that despite the fact he was a rock god, he fell hard and fast for Shanna. and that piercing...BISHYOUKNOWTHEONE... Saxon- i mean all I can say is Grumpy Daddy was the p e r f e c t way to describe Saxon. I loved how instantly he was attracted to and caring of Shanna. And honestly, this pack would not be complete w/o him.
fave quotes: I’m gonna fvck my cum into that bruised little cervix of yours. rut you so deep, i breed you” Carter “i’m sorry for anything i said while dick drunk and lost to the fog” -shanna
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Sir is more my style, but every time the naughty little vixen calls me Daddy, it makes my cock throb. She’s temptation wrapped up in a gorgeous package, and the best part? She wants me too.
Jillian knocked another one out of the park!! I will read (and reread) anything she writes because I know that diving into her books means a sweet romance with low anxiety/angst and hot spice.
Her MMCs are the kind you want to add to your own harem, and her FMCs are never weak, even when they have had a less-than-positive experience with love.
This book is fast-burn and high spice, with MF and MFM+ scenes. It has lots of instant-attraction vibes (a one-night stand leading to more), scent matching, and the soothing of heat spikes.
Another standalone in the overarching Ruined Records universe, I would highly recommend Knot Guaranteed is read first, as there are significant character crossovers (the FMC's best friend and older brother, as well as two of her love interests, are introduced).
Highly recommended to OV lovers!
Genre: Contemporary Rockstar Omegaverse Romance Tropes/Features: Rockstars and bodyguard, age gap, older brother’s best friends, hurt/comfort, all-in MMCs, he falls first, scent matches, bonding, somno, breeding kink, rival bands/enemies in pack, cock warming, group scenes Narrator: Multiple 1st Person POV Relationship Type: Why Choose MFMMM, fast burn, spicy Book Type/Ending: Interconnected standalone with HEA, recommend reading Knot Guaranteed first TW/CW: Available in book
After reading Tinley's story with her guys, I was stoked to get Shanna's story early! And I wasn't disappointed!!
This book was everything good about omegaverse books. Full of fluff. Protective growly alphas. Sweet omega. Nesting. Knotting. Bite marks. Bonding.
"And that’s how I end up in heat, blocks from my penthouse…while Lang and Carter end up in handcuffs."
▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️
Shanna was such a homely omega. Sweet and cuddly. She just needed security from a good group of alphas after being wronged by so many other packs. Especially the most recent one!
I loved watching her pack form.
Carter- Playful. Protective. I knew we'd be seeing more of Carter. And I'm so glad we did! The progression of his character was such a huge part of book one and I was so happy to see him get his HEA with Shanna. After everything that happened in the first book this alpha really did redeem himself! Jillian did such a perfect job of focusing on the joys of sobriety and how his mindset changed after he got sober. Instead of focusing on what he felt like he was missing out on because he was now sober. Like the girls and the parties! Which I feel like most authors tend to focus more on! It made him even more loveable.
Jackkkkkk!!!! Sensitive. Gentle. I adored him. He was probably my favorite of the alphas. I feel like he connected with her such a sweet level. His theory on why he smells electric to Shanna was 🤌🤌
MY GOSH. DADDY SAXON! Protective. Dom. I'm not sure I've ever read about an alpha who gives off stronger daddy vibes. Even War didn't give off such heavy daddy vibes like Saxon did. Every interaction from the very first one he was caring for her in some way. Always keeping her safe or making sure she was taking care of herself. When he puts his hat and gloves on her without a word had me HOPING he was going to be one of her pack members! And I wasn't disappointed!
Lang- Corny. Goofy. He took sometime to grow on me and I'm still not sure he did fully until the very end of the book! Reformed male wh*re vibes big time. I felt like his character developed so much in the beginning of the book and you got to see his corny and tender side, then he kinda got flat in the middle. Thankfully around 90% he grew on me and you really got to see his cheesy side come out again! And his connection with the pack finally started to form.

I really enjoyed the low angst, coziness of this omegaverse romance, and how all the MMCs were giving out “you deserve to be treated like a goddess” vibes.
Was it instalove? Yes. Were all the MMCs kind of jostling for the FMCs attention, which didn’t really make for a cohesive pack? Also, yes. But you know what made up for it? ALL THE SNUGGLES. 🥰
When an author fills up a book with lots of stuff I always thought I didn't like, and it ends up becoming one of my all time favorite books, I can't do anything else but give it a six star rating! I absolutely adored this book from start to finish: it made me smile, it made me laugh, it made me hot and bothered and it made me end it all with a huge smile on my face.
I'm usually not a fan of harems where all the guys are such good guys, and all in from the very start. But the way this author portrayed these characters made me fall in love with them just as fast. Each of them brings something unique to the relationship that's being formed in this book, and I love the troubles they have to conquer to really become a pack centered around their omega. Shanna has the perfect bratty personality to keep these rockstars entertained and her bodyguard daddy fascinated, and with the way they treat her I just wish I could become an omega with her own harem of alpha's...
I personally tend to prefer series and books that don't hold too much spice, so a heat scene that includes multiple chapters can sometimes be a stretch for me. But I really loved it all in this standalone, because the dynamic between these characters is so awesome that I love whatever they do together. I don't believe I've ever done a reread of a standalone before, but something tells me this will be a book I'm going to pick up again in the future.
I'm really not a fan of the dynamics in this book, and honestly, the men aren't doing it for me, either. These Alphas come across as either skeevy or dense. Aside from Saxon, none of the guys know what it means to be an alpha or how to care for an omega properly.
Carter is a douche. I'll admit that his actions in the previous book might be tinting my view—he was a pervy, thieving drug addict. I opened this book hoping he might redeem himself. He didn't. I'm not sure if he genuinely wants Shanna or only wants to compete for her and get a win over Lang.
Then there's Jack, who's sweet but, unfortunately, a dumbass. The guy thinks he can ease an omega through a heat wave by putting the tip of his cock on her clit, like that's gonna help her through it. Dude didn't even try to help with his fingers or mouth while Shanna was literally sobbing and whining in distress. Everyone knows omegas need penetration, especially when it's a severe wave.
Saxon is the only alpha with a genuine understanding of how to treat an omega right. He's not battling addiction or a recovering manwhore. Yet, I had to DNF when it started to feel like even he wanted to change Shanna. That was the final nail in the coffin for me, especially when I was already struggling with the story.
I really like Lang, though. The guy is a borderline stalker, and I'm here for it. He is a recovering manwhore, but there are no OW in this book. He's also got a breeding kink 🤤😉 ...However, at this point in the book, we barely see him.
Besides that, the guys hate each other. Saxon hates everyone but can tolerate Jack. Jack and Carter are friends. Lang hates all the other guys, and they all hate him. Carter only gets along with Jack but doesn't like the idea of sharing Shanna with anyone. In fact, the only guy who seems to be okay with sharing is Saxon.
Anyway...I don't like these guys; I don't like that they don't know how to be alphas or take care of an omega, and I don't want all of the internal harem drama.
Many people will like this book; it was well written. If none of these things bother you, then definitely pick this book up. It's unfortunately not for me.
Side note: 52% into the book, and none of the guys are really showing any protectiveness or possessiveness for their omega besides Saxon. Carter, specifically, feels like a narcissist. Jack and Lang focus on how Shanna makes them feel and what they can get from her, not on the omega herself. This is why modern men are shit; fantasy men are supposed to be better.
It says a lot about Jillian West that I’m willing to read a Rockstar Romance (I don’t know why, I just don’t enjoy them in general). But I went into this one happily, knowing she never lets me down and I loved it.
I love that so many of her books are filled with the intention of being solid easy, low stress, comfort reads. With healthy doses of smut. And this one fit right in with the rest. It’s a typical omegaverse (complimentary) full of super protective heroes, instalove, and bodily fluids.
Shanna was such an easily loveable character and the dynamic between her and her pack was so fun. Each character was unique in their personality and their bond with Shanna. I honestly adored every character, but there’s always that One of the pack that ends up being my favorite every time. The grumpiest of the bunch always get me and Jillian West writes them so well!
Even though this isn’t my favorite trope, I did enjoy it overall! I think because the majority of the focus was on the relationships and pack dynamic.
Also, while this could definitely be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading Knot Guaranteed first!
Genre: Omegaverse Tropes: why choose, forced proximity, touch her and die, age gap, brother's band mate, enemies to pack mate
Jillian West writes wonderful novels, especially Omegaverse. Knot wanted is a fast burn, low angst Omegaverse written within the Ruined Records universe. This is a standalone, although it really does help to read Knot Guaranteed to understand the dynamic of some of the characters. Carter's redemption arc is the chef's kiss! I did not see this one coming and I am here for it and so glad that he got a place within this book.
I absolutely enjoyed Shanna and her guys, I felt that the FMC was super independent and spicy...she knows what she wants and goes for it! This helps as she builds her pack of beautiful misfit musicians and 1 grumpy bodyguard.
The MMCs were great, a real buffet of wild, unhinged, growly and devoted alphas...what a dream pack!
Another great omegaverse from Jillian West! I’ve been looking forward to Shanna’s story ever since I finished Knot Guaranteed, and it was everything I needed it to be. I loved all of Shanna’s guys, but I think Jack might be my favorite. This story quickly became one of my top favorites from Jillian, and I can’t wait to see what she does next!
Re-read April 2025: a wonderfully OTT book, just what I was in the mood for. I listened to the audio this time and the narrators (dual) did an awesome job! ♥️
Original review: Another winner by Jillian West! After just having read an RH book that totally didn’t work for me, this was a breath of fresh air and just what I was craving! I loved how different all the men were and they weren’t an existing pack or even friendly. It made for an interesting dynamic and kept me wondering how they would all come together (pun intended ;-)). This one focused less on the actual ‘rockstardom’ of the guys and more on the building of the pack. The spice was super hawt and had me fanning myself a ton…! All the men were totally into the h and almost insta for all of them. I loved watching them court her, I love a good chase :-). And don’t get me started on the multiple epilogues…LOVE! All in all a very good omegaverse read!!
Safety: OW: a former girlfriend of one of the Hs approaches him to tell him she wants him back. h takes care of it (even before they are together). No OM No cheating No separation / no third act break up

Okay soooo…. I liked this book a lot. Would I say I liked it more than the first one? No. Why? Because for some reason I couldn’t quite keep up with who was who in Shanna’s pack. So many men, lol. With Knot Guaranteed, it was easier to keep track of that. Secondly, even though this was a 300+ page book, it really didn’t feel like a 300 something page book. It’s hard to explain unless that has happened to you. I wished we had followed more of Lang throughout than any of the others, like Jack or Saxon, even though Saxon is my second fav. (sigh) Now I gotta decide what series to start next.
4.5 ⭐️ I want to be Shanna! Or maybe I just want the three hot rockstars and the growly protective bodyguard. 🤔 I loved this book so much. Low angst, full of spice, and really sweet. Saxon is definitely my favourite. That grumpy daddy could say or do anything to me and I'd be so happy.
2.5 ⭐️ started out fun and promising! Rock stars and clandestine club meetups! But the premise that she had multiple heats with alphas and a closet full of pressies but no one wanted her afterwards (she’s rock royalty and conventionally attractive to top it off) was not fleshed out.
can we stop with the constant face fucking and knotting their mouths? It sounds like something a MRA would write. The daddy kink wasnt for me, thought I did enjoy Saxon, lots of “sweet girl” and I feel like it’s time we collectively move to something new. But maybe that’s just me.
low angst and extended epilogues if you’re into that, bonding felt pretty rushed. Low plot and everyone seemed pretty aimless about passions in life.
This is super cute, like pretty much all of this author’s books. It features a few characters introduced in Knot Guaranteed, and is decently low angst. Shanna is a fun and confident FMC. Her self-confidence stumbles a bit when she’s rejected by a pack, but she picks herself up and does her best to move on. Her interactions with the MMCs are fascinating and spiiiiiicy. I really loved that the pack wasn’t already established- it forms around Shanna. There are elements of insta-love but it presents in interesting ways and looks different for each relationship. The spice is quite nice and the overall story is very sweet.
Perfection!!! Loved the guys, the personalities, how each guy was different, the low angst with the group (even the “problems” it never got too much), the drama being outside the group, and everything from start to finish - LOVED!
I get nervous with rh because sometimes the guys all become the same and start talking the same. Not here! Everyone had a distinct personality that stayed the same throughout. And each one brought something different - jokester who was all in, one who had his heartbroken, smooth talking slightly hothead, and daddy vibes that takes care of her needs. The best combo!
This was so cute! The disclaimer in the beginning warns that it’s fluffy, and it is in the sense that there isn’t a bunch of unnecessary drama. It’s well written and flows nicely. I liked the different heroes, my only personal qualm is that one of them is named Saxon. That’s a really unique name and the only person I know who has it is my FIL so it was really throwing me off. Lol. Otherwise, this was another solid OV by Jillian West.
So. SO fluffy. No angst. No romance. Lots of spice. Half drawn out characters and no satisfying justice for the asshole pack. FMC kind of gets walked on by the big bad and the mmc’s are nice but one dimensional.
After falling for Jillian West’s writing with Knot Guaranteed, the first book I ever read by her, I was excited to return to this world—and Knot Wanted did not disappoint! The story weaves together multiple interesting dynamics that kept me guessing (and swooning) from start to finish. I’m so glad Carter and Jack finally got their HEAs—they definitely deserved it. West knows how to keep things interesting — I finished it too fast and need the next fix immediately. I can’t wait for the next book and I’m really hoping it’s about Chloe! 🎸 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HEA? yes 3rd act break-up? no 🌶🌶🌶🌶/5
Good vibes and lots of spice! One could argue that the characters could have known each other better before jumping all in. One could argue that there was too much sex. However, I will not be the one to do either of those things.
I liked Shanna. She's fun and flirty and sassy, but a little down on herself and doesn't think she'll get what she really wants - a pack of her own. Her connection with each of the guys was near instantaneous but also solid and long-lasting. I really enjoyed the dynamics and comraderie between all the guys. The conflicts were small and few so there is no long drawn out drama or angst.
Shanna is the sister of one of the men we met in the other book in this series. She owns her sexuality as an omega with needs and it was so refreshing! I just read another omegaverse that bothered me greatly in how women were discussed and we don't find that with Ms West.
There's a lot of spice and fast burn. No MM. Multiple MF scenes. Saxon was my dream alpha always there to take care of the mfc! Lang and Jack are sweet and funny. Carter reminded me a little of Rook from the original duet. I never cared much one way or another but the pack coming together was enjoyable. Multiple epilogues.

Ok listen.. Ive been a hugggeee fan of Jillian West for like.. a year and a half now. Her books juuuuust keep getting better. But this book??
THIS BOOK WAS EVERYTHING.
First of all— I felt so freaking terrible for Shanna. She was so sweet and so strong and she just kept getting turned down by idiot alphas who didnt see her worth.
But have no fear! Because 3 rockstars and a bodyguard with Daddy Dom vibes are right around the corner for Shanna and they are *everything*.
First the guys:
Carter: I think hes my second fave.. and its for a kinda personal reason. Carter is in recovery for addiction and Im a recovering addict with 9 years sober. I thought Jillian wrote the entire addiction/sobriety thing really really well. It’s not a trigger of mine, but to someone who may find it a trigger, its *very* lightly discussed and oftentimes the actual recovery itself is the main focus.. not the addiction of the past. Plus it was weaved into the story really well. They actually DO tell you not to get into a relationship for your first year of sobriety— Carter took it one step further and decided no fun times at all for him for a year. And he took it seriously. It was admirable and I loved that aspect of his story.. especially when he was the one who originally wanted shanna the most— and the poor guy had to wait the longest to be with her AND bond her, lol. He was a bit hot headed and a bit snarky and a bit of a jerk sometimes.. but he was broody and tattooed and sexy and genuinely loved our FMC, so those “toxic” traits were just plain endearing😂
Jack: Every pack needs a serious, quite, contemplating alpha- and this was Jack. Jack is Carters bad mate as well as the band mate of Shanna’s brother (this is how we meet the alphas and Shanna). His fall for Shanna isnt as dramatic as Carter, but its steady and sure and sweet and its obvious he loves her desperately. Its also hot AF.. because this sweet boy has a dirty mouth and i am SO here for it.
Lang Every pack needs a bad boy, right? Well.. while Carter may almost have that covered.. it seems like Lang was set up to be the consummate Bad Boy (TM) for the beginning.. and because of that we also meet Shanna’s fourth pack member- His bodyguard Saxon. Lang is tattooed and dark and tall and handsome and he sees Shanna and *immediately* wants her. They hook up at a club and dont exchange names. Despite the fact that hes a rockstar.. Shanna has no idea who he is because she simply stays away from all of that w/her dads AND brother being rockstars.. she ignores it as best she can otherwise. LANG FALLS FAST. When im telling you this man went to the same club where he met Shanna like four nights in a row just to try and run into her and then blurted out his UNDYING LOVE FOR HER AFTER ONLY 4 DAYS?! I swear to god i was so here for it though. He was hot AF and he and carter had a back and forth built off of over a decade of history together that was really fun to read about it and made me end up liking the two of them even more.
Saxon GRUMPY DADDY. Ok this mad was HANDS DOWN my fave of the entire pack. He was older … late thirties, early forties, was Lang’s Bodygaurd, had TOTAL daddy vibes which Shanna immediately picks up on. But here the thing.. sometimes an older guy just hits different, and Saxon here does. He goes the extra mile to brush up on alpha and omega dynamics… takes care of Shanna and is overall a huge teddy bear and i freaking lvoed him. He was easily my fave of her entire pack. No doubt. The age gap was hot.. but so was his dominating nature in bed and his sweet side out of it. He just… gah… i wish he was really. Lol
Our FMC, Shanna, was amazing. She was strong without being a bulldozer. Sweet without being a pushover. She dealt with some major insecurities thanks to packs who had been with her through past heats but didnt want to “keep her” after it was over.. but she still opened her heart up to these alpha’s even though she was scared. She was talented and kind and just so so real. I loved her!
So yeah.. without giving away any spoilers, this is hands down the kinkiest, hottest omegaverse Ive read in a long time… Jillian West just keeps getting better and better. It’s so good and I couldnt put it down! It’s a light, fluffy, sweet, hot AF omegaverse you HAVE to pick up!
ARC provided by the author. This is an honest review of the book.
This book follows clothing designer Shanna who is Tinleys best friend and Fritz’s sister.
**SPOILERS**
Short and sweet. Shanna is being courted by a very stuck up pack at the beginning of the novel. Carter a fellow musician and acquainted “friend” of Shanna’s brother (if you remember he was the one that overdosed and ended up going into therapy) is always mocking and annoying Shanna and it drives her nuts. Carter tells Shanna her boyfriends are douchbags but Shanna refuses to listen to him. Fast forward s few months and all of the ruined records family are coming together to celebrate the holidays . Like he normally is Carter is an ass and mocks :Shanna about where her boyfriends are. Shanna is angry but also hurt and unamused boy his words and lets it slip that her boyfriends and she are obviously not together anymore because they had promised to come for the big Holiday party, but didn’t appear and also TOTALLY GHOSTED HER!
Shanna is sick of risking her heart anymore and decides she just needs to find hookups now instead of the Pack she’s always craved. She trolls a bat and becomes hypnotized by this gorgeous guy, who is clearly as into her as she is to him. They go off to “do the deed,” and we come to Saxton’s POV (Saxton is the famous rockstar Langdon’s bodyguard/ babysitter! He detest Langdon and wishes that he can be guarding anyone other than this manwhore, entitled, arrogant, jacksss rockstar. He finds Lang…and gets the surprise of his life when he walks in on his “charge” having sex with a beautiful brunette - yup, you guessed it, it’s Shanna. Saxton’s is horrified at what he thinks Lamg did to this omega and offers to take her home. He feels this connection to her, but also is torn because 1. He’s on a job and 2. Women often make men (his judgment) weaker and less able to think with their big brains *wink* he’s sure he won’t see her again but he does, because Lang isn’t giving up now that hrs met his dream girl.
Meanwhile Shanna is at one of her worst points (but goes it well), not only did her ex-pack disappear and ghost her now she had to see their a-hole smug faces on a mediation. You see her exes are in the fashion industry too. Shanna had thought it was kismet that she met men in the same industry and who seemed to genuinely like her. She didn’t know they’d planned every step. Intending to steal her designs., keep the rights and royalties and basically screw her over totally. On all the time they courted her exes were smooching up to her mother and mothers LONG LIST OF CELEBRITY/try rich, friends in order to promote Their designs, the ones the stole from Shanna, and smooch up to Dhanna’s famous wealthy friends to get more funding for ther design label/new collection.
Things speed up exponentially by this point ( Thanksgiving!) in the book. Now she’s clearly crushing and well on her way to being “friends and more than friends with Lang, Saxton and Carters bandmate (the closed up “I had my heart broken by a girl” so I’m tortured kinda guy. But lo and behold he falls for Shanna too. Carter realizes that he went after her the wrong way, instead of the sarcastic banter they had , was really as Shanna thought…Carter hating her and basically making her feel like crap and bring was a huge bully and just must hate her because he was so mean to her but nice to others. As I said, he grovels (again she accepts too easily IMO) basically does everything but per on on. Caveman like way to possess her and claim her. Carters furious when he realizes the other guy Shanna likes is his ex-best friend, Lang. I honestly think the author spent too much time with the 2 of them fighting and hating one another that it distracted from the book. And that anyone with half a brain cell could/would have figured (by prior books behavior of this character) who this character, this jerk who organized everything and tore two good friends apart with lies is.
But other than the unnecessary “OVER DRAMA” at parts. This was an enjoyable, easy to read Omega/Alpha(s) novel, with some strong characters (some I preferred more than others) a solid clever storyline, and a HEA this book would be great if you like omegaverse novels that are rather sweet, fluffy. Where everything works out in the end
It's really hard to find an omegaverse book without MM in it, so rating one less than 5 stars sucks. But:
The FMC, Shana (don't know spelling since it was an audiobook), was so whiny and self-depreciating for the ENTIRE book. It was exhausting. I kept hoping the group would spend more time together and that she'd see she was valued, but the whole book (before the epilogue) takes very little time, like a month. While you do get to know the guys, the characters definitely knew nothing about each other. It made it hard to appreciate the romance since the guys didn't even know her coffee order, if she had other siblings, what she did in her spare time...nothing.
The book starts off with her having sex with Lang in a bar, and that's how you meet Saxon, too. So there's smut immediately, but Shana was pretty rude and just using all the guys she found for a quicky. She was getting mad at any guy who tried to get to know her or talk to her. It was hard to like her. Poor Lang falls for her and searches all over for her, but she just wants to have sex.
Meanwhile, Carter is being a complete A$$hat the entire time. He gets better near the 70% mark, and that's a little too late for that imo. His friend, Jack, is a super sweet guy, but dumb as bricks. He knows absolutely nothing about omegas and puts his feelings before hers constantly. In fact, she's writhing in pain, and all of the guys are like, "Well, you have to wait since we need to court you." Dipshits, this is an actual medical problem that needs to be solved and has nothing to do with your relationship. Man up and dick her. It was fine the first time, but they did it over and over again. Seriously, Saxon was the only one who did any research and tried to help her. I got to a point where I didn't care anymore.
There was a lot of internal pack conflict among all the guys, since some had history and some were unacquainted, which made it more realistic, but seriously, has no one ever heard of communication?
The plot slogs for a long time. Practically nothing happens besides her being in/out/maybe in heat for the whole book. The heat itself was anticlimactic, and the most you got was two guys with her. There were a few scenes where she said something hurt, and they didn't listen, or they threatened her with spankings that weren't going to be fun. Some of it left a bad taste in the mouth, and I'm considering calling it SA.
It's definitely smut, since that's all there is to the story. But I wouldn't call it romance since no one knew anything about anyone else. It's basically five strangers bonding and screwing.
Them not giving her the BC while she was in heat was really shitty. It may not be forced pregnancy, but it's damn close. And at the end, they spend months wearing her down, trying to get her to have more kids. Coercion to have children is not sexy or fun.
I really had high hopes for this one, but it had way too many negatives to be worth reading now or over again. You have an FMC who does nothing but complain, rude as hell alphas, borderline SA, and no plot. Anytime there was a hint of plot, she suddenly had a heat spike, taking away from the story. I would have skimmed it if it had been a paperback instead of an audiobook.
Trigger Warnings Coercion- her first pack tricked her into a clothing deal. The MMCs coerce her into having more kids Forced pregnancy- none of the guys gave her the birth control she was taking while in heat Assault- MMCs and other pack get into a fight SA- There were a few times she was scared, hurting, etc. during sex and the guys told her to deal with it. Previous drug use-Carter is a recovering drug addict but stays sober Drinking- FMC gets drunk and sleeps with Lang, he's drinking too
I am absolutely in love with this author's writing and with this series in particular!
After Shanna gets played by three assholes, who she was hopeful would end up becoming her pack, she's determined to simply live in the moment and what better way to do that, than to have a one-night stand with a stranger? To mix things up further, Shanna's brother's bandmates temporarily move in with her and she accepts a design job from her mother's newest mate; who happens to run a record label. Caught between an anonymous one-night stand, roommate rockstars, and a gruff body guard, Shanna finds herself at the center of drama and hilarity.

This was so much fun! While overall, this book was purely fluff and sweetness there was definitely some drama that went down when Shanna discovers the identity of her electrifying one-night stand and his connection to Carter; her brother's band mate & her current flirtationship partner.
Ugh everything about this book was perfect IMO. Its very rare that I feel incredibly giddy reading a book, but this just hit all the right spots for me.

Shanna was adorable, spunky, and determined to own her life. I just loved her character and how she built each relationship with her alphas.
Langdon a.k.a. "Lang," was such a laugh. He knew immediately what he wanted and he never wavered. The way he just professed his love all the damn time had me crying laughing. One of my fav scenes from the book is when he meets Shanna and learns her name for the first time; his dramatics were hilarious. Kage calling him delusional was so damn funny! (If I had to pick a fav, it was him <3)
Carter, was broody but a cutie. At the start of the book he's closing in on 1 year of sobriety and he's decided that his life needs to change after a drug overdose scare. He holds himself back where Shanna is concerned, because he wants to be at his best when he finally pursues her. Talk about a perfectly imperfect mannnn.
Saxon, the body guard and also resident hard ass. I found his relationship with Shanna so adorable. He was devoted to keeping her safe and protected. Their back and forth of him scolding her and Shanna sassing him, was the best. They have an age gap, but it didn't feel significant in the overall story, it just was there and I liked that it wasn't made into a big deal. I also liked that he gave advice to the other alphas slowly forming Shanna's pack.
Jack, was soft, a bit broken, charming, and an amazing friend. I loved how he stuck by Carter and also went celibate in solidarity. Jack's story line involved a previous ex-girlfriend who used him and strung him along. I loved that Shanna helped him by acting as his "fake gf" before he officially asked Shanna out. Their relationship was by far the cutest and so emotional. UGHHH and the fact that he talked to his mom about Shanna and asked her for advice (just stab me instead 😭)
