Judas, cursed for his sins, is the spirit of Death and, because he is without form, has enslaved young Eve to carry out with him the most heinous of acts--to slay six hundred and sixty-six people so that he can regain his humanity.
Not bad. I really liked the concept of the plot, how Judas took possession of a boy named Eve and has to kill 666 people to regain his humanity. A really interesting concept, but the execution however was pretty weak. There isn't enough character development to make me feel for any of the characters, but I do like Judas' snarkiness and how funny it is. The ending was enjoyable, with an introduction to possibly a potential antagonist. Hopefully, the second volume is better.
This one I have mixed feelings about. The premise of a death spirit possessing a human and cursed to kill a certain number of people is certainly interesting. However, I don't think the execution of the story was terribly good. Maybe because this series is geared at older teens, maybe they tone things down a bit. The chibi elements certainly don't enhance the story; they actually detract from it. However, if you can get over that, and some of the more chaotic panels, there is actually a pretty good story underneath. The volume ends with a cliffhanger when a figure fro Judas's past reappears. Curiosity might drive me to seek out the next volume, but I am in no rush. It was overall an "ok" manga when compared to others I have read.
