After a year of loss and heartache, Lexie wants to forget the past at her family's cabin in the mountains. But memories are all around her. The solitude only makes her loneliness worse, and she is drowning in it. But she is not as alone in the cabin as she thinks. Something has been watching and waiting. Something hungry. And Lexie is about to get eaten.
You just need a little something short and smutty! Lexie's story, full of pain and grief, was quite creative. If you like it short and smutty, Adrian Blue always delivers.
Nothing wrong with the writing, just the particular dynamic, or k.nk is not one that I fully understand even on a “oh I could see that being hot for someone” way. Another spicy short with Christmas theme monster novelette where a woman grieving returns to her family home and a creature that…lives inside the fireplace “devours” her…
Amazing buildup and incredibly descriptive. Wish there was an epilogue or something but let’s be honest this was a too the point smut book and it was great, LOL.
Lexie's not in a great mental place when she heads up to her family's cabin, but she's trying to put her life back together and she thinks spending time in a place she used to love will help. Except she's completely overwhelmed by her grief when faced with the actual cabin and vows she'll only stay the night and then head back to the city tomorrow.
It's a good plan, all things considered, but the creature hungering in the dark has a slightly different idea in mind. One that involves swallowing Lexie whole and learning all the ways it can make her shiver. In fear or otherwise.
I do enjoy the creative twists on AB's monsters and this one worked nicely. *thumbs up*
The reason I gave this book 4 stars is because it's surprisingly well-written for a 22 page story. Most stories such as this one tend to start off promising then disappoint you with a rushed middle and ending. You are introduced to the character and setting at a great pace and then the story just gets straight to the point. All I can say is that the stocking is indeed hung.
I got hung up on how intense the story was getting that I didn't realize it was a short read. It was over before I was ready. I really enjoyed this story though. So much potential! Keep it up, my dear.
In true A. Blue fashion this story was a cute little filthy tale. A short and sweet raunchy romance for us dirty minded romance lovers. Adrian Blue is underrated and I don't like it. STOP SITTING ON HER TALENT! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5🌶️
Y'all reading about doors, pillows, and balloon animals, but a fireplace crosses the line? Tentacles aren't for me, but if you're into that, this fireplace had some nice ones.
I think maybe I was wanting something different from this chimney monster erotica vore? It was fine! Not traumatizing like the spider one, but just wasn’t what I wanted it to be.
