We know that Christ died for us because He loved us. We know that He laid down everything to cherish us, treasure us, and set us free. Daily He pursues us in His passionate unrelenting love and without fail He cares for our needs and tenderly leads us to life. In this life He’s given us, He made us not for ourselves but for Himself. We were created for Him to be loved by Him. Because we were created for His love, He’s always doing so much to cherish us.
But in all His kindness we tend to forget to have a heart of gratitude. As we busy ourselves about our days we come to expect His goodness, while forgetting to praise Him for it. It’s not that we’re ungrateful, but life distracts us from having the right heart.
Therefore we should dedicate ourselves to having a heart of gratitude. Over these next 30 days consider devoting yourself to having a heart of gratitude for all His goodness. Remember God’s love over your life and praise Him for it. Meet with Him daily in the secret place, and so create a continual habit of gratitude and effectual praise.

Really good book for my devotional time. There was several little mistakes that bugged me, so I gave it 4 stars. Without the minor mistakes, I would have definitely given it 5 stars. I'm not sure about this book, but I read it as part of Adam Houge's larger "Prayers That Will Change Your Life Increase Your Faith and Build a Habit of Praise." Maybe the individual book doesn't have the mistakes. Other than that, fantastic book.
Christians are so mightily blessed. These are great prayers to lift up to the Lord. All power and glory and honor and dominion is His. May we forever praise His name.
