This is my first book written by this author and I enjoyed reading it. The main characters are a great match and they are perfect together. All the surrounding characters make the story richer. I liked the storytelling and kept me glued to my Kindle. I will go back and read the previous installments to have the whole picture.

Ms Hunter has saved the best for last with Baxter Easton's own love story. And it was quite a good one. I was super excited to finally read it. Baxter was my favorite sibling and character in the 4 book series. This can also be read as a standalone.

16 years ago, Baxter was madly in love with Eden Spade. He still is. Eden was his special girl. That one summer meant something more than he ever shared with anyone. It was also the summer that broke his heart into a million pieces. A misunderstanding and interference by Eden's Dad with a hurtful lie. Eden too was in love with Baxter. She never knew what happened to make Baxter stop talking to her and avoid her. And for years after, she only knew that he had broken her heart. She doesn't want anything to do with him.😞

And here they are again, coming full circle to see each other again with those pesky feelings resurfacing and the attraction still burning. Eden is an archaeologist, about to work on a project to uncover artifacts and the Easton history on Magic Island. But there are nefarious people who Eden has been contracted to work with. She knows something is wrong. Even Baxter is highly aware. Can they work together, trust each other, to get to the bottom of this mystery? Without getting involved with matters of the heart? Even though they both really want to. There's drama, suspense, funny moments, and yes, steam and spice.❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Baxter is still a jokester, a guy who loves to push the envelope in any and every situation. Eden matches perfectly with him. She handles his sarcasm with her own sass and retorts. And you can't help but love the entire family when they have dinner once a week. I definitely recommend. This has moonbow magic.✨🌕✨ Happy reading!!♥️♥️♥️

16 years ago Baxter Easton, the boy I fell in love with, broke heart.

Baxter Easton works at his families company, Easton Corporation as an Investment Coordinator. The day after running into the girl he fell in love with is now sitting in a meeting room with her employers at Dunes Research. She is an independent contractor that has been brought on for project on Magic Island. Now Baxter finds himself working with Eden.

Eden has found herself working with her ex boyfriend, Baxter. The same B'axter who broke her heart when she was a teenager. Although she knew coming to Magic Island out here at risk into rubbing into him, she never thought she would end up working next to him. Now that things aren’t adding up with the project that she’s working on. She’s not sure who to trust. Does she take a chance and trust the guy that broke her heart.

Baxter and Eden work together figuring out what Rogues Research is up to. Who is involved and what they’re after. As the two of them work closely, they start to rekindle the love they had as teenagers.

I enjoyed the mystery of what the two main characters uncover. The development of the characters progresses naturally, and there is no other man/woman drama. There is no drama that is unnecessary. I would recommend this book to any romance reader. '

This is the first book I’ve read by Summer Hunter. I found the main characters were fully likeable and understandable. The supporting cast were also made more than just flat background characters. We were given insight into both families and what made them tick. Baxter’s relationship with his order brother was very supportive and loving (in both directions), despite there being a strong competitiveness. This was conveyed well throughout the story. Hunter seems to be very good at conveying the whole family dynamic.
Baxter and Eden lost their first love due to a misunderstanding where each blamed the other. Sixteen years later they are given a second chance. Because each still blames the other for their old break up, they are not truly open with each other and have trust issues. This causes a lot of misunderstandings over a number of weeks as they try to move forward together.
It takes a life threatening situation for them to finally open up to each other, about the past and about their feelings now.
I enjoyed the story because of the well created characters and their emotional depth. There was a mysterious plot concerning the archeological dig which played out well, too.

Eden Spade is returning to Magic Island for the first time since Baxter Easton broke her heart. Chances are she will eventually run in to him. She was not expecting it to happen the first night nor did she expect to be working with him. She is helping to pay for her father’s medical bills and the money is needed so she can’t afford to quit even though things are not being done the way they should. Eden is confused not knowing if she can trust Baxter or is he part of the problem at Dunes Research?
Summer Hunter builds her charcters in a way that the reader can see both sides of the story and the misunderstandings that go back to their teenage years. Reclaiming My Wounded First Love is the 4th book in the series but is written in a way that it can stand alone but it will leave the reader wanting to go back and read the rest of the series.

Their second chance at love

A lovely slow-build romance, with great chemistry between the characters, action, drama, misunderstanding, light humour, second chance romance, spice and some great twists.

This is Baxter and Eden's story. They have a history but each of them remembers their teenage heartbreak differently. When they find themselves working together on a shipwreak, with Eden as the lead archaeologist, they find feelings relighted for each other. But while they both realise something is wrong with the project they're working on, can they trust each other in solving the mystery and keeping their hearts protected?

A brilliant finish to the Magic Island series, I loved Baxter's banter and sarcasm, and Eden's sass; and seeing the other members of the family again at their weekly dinner together was fun (a great combination of characters).

Cute story starring with Baxter Easton who is a billionaire brother of Easton company who lives in Magic Island, Carefree playboy and Eden is an archeologist daughter who has come to preserve ship parts of Baxter's family history. What the twist? Eden is Baxter's lost summer love and foe Eden Baxter is the first boy to fall in love. Bit their story ended in bad when they were 18. Now in this deserving second chance their love blooms and truth is discovered about the archeologists team and their unsuccessful 18yr love. Story ends with a beautiful HEA. Let's fly together with this cute couple of Magic Island. Also, stories of other brothers Chance and Landon is gonna be great.

No less compelling than what? There is no comparison, so what are they as compelling as?!

This book caught my attention of how Eden and Baxter meet. And the chemistry and the physical attraction were steamy . I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't put it down. It was addicted. Baxter and Eden are each fascinating characters, and I love how the author throws them back together and we get to experience their journey of rediscovering each other amidst the chaos of their work worlds. Magic Island continues to be a fun world to explore, and I love how we get to see more glimpses of the other characters from this series. This is a fun read!

Archaeological Reunion

16 years ago, Eden and Baxter had their hearts broken over a misunderstanding that lingers into their present day. While working together, a mystery presents itself that places them in danger. This was an emotional and intense type of read but the archaeological aspects of it were quite interesting.

Ok so I haven’t read any other books in this series yet but I will. You can read this as a standalone and follow just fine. I will say I loved this book. I was glad to see older in the 30’s mc. It’s a second chance romance. That I loved the banter and the spice in it. They meet again after 16yrs apart and basically try to rekindle things to get information out of the other while falling back in love well that never went away. It was such a great read.

Eden and Baxter fell in love with each other and were torn apart because of interference and misunderstanding. Some sixteen years later, they now have to work together. How will this work out and will they be able to get over the issues that caused them both to have broken hearts. This is a great story to read.

Baxter couldn’t believe his eyes that Eden was here on Magic Island. He never forgot about her from all those years ago. Only problem is he3 thinks that she is part of a fishy plot with an excavation happening on th island.

Eden can’t believe Baxter is here and overseeing the excavation. But does he have something to do with the way this isn’t going right. If they would just talk to one another they could find out a lot of things.
