Every issue I read, this series just keeps getting cooler and cooler. Breanna has grown up considerably and is now against the Luciel clan. She tips off the police with some pretty solid questioning. Why can the maagi only be cured by the Luciel Lord (Khalida)? Why is the Luciel Clan exorcists always conveniently there when maagi attack? And why can only their holy water kill the maagi? She sets off with her own holy water (and possibly her own holy relic?) to find more answers. Khalida is going mega cuckoo from the black dagger's magic. She's seeing Heather's ghost, killing her exorcists/lords.. Not a good look for bestie. ALSO; MANUEL AN EXORCIST?? KHALIDA WORKING WITH HIM?? HUH?? I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW THIS TURNS OUT

🕳️ Gumaa #4 — Stuck in Its Own Misery
By this issue, it’s clear the series is going nowhere. The plot is stagnant, and the characters are either dead or dead inside—both emotionally and narratively. The visual design starts to repeat itself, with panels that blur together in greyscale monotony. Instead of tension, there's tedium. The rare emotional beat feels either forced or undermined by the overall grim tone.
