It's not my fault. I just wanted to get this out of the way. Now, if you want to start pointing fingers, I believe Shelly is the one to blame.
The utter ridiculousness of this book could have been okay (I mean, c'mon, you don't go into tentacle erotica expecting some deep philosophic shit) if the heroine of the story wasn't completely and irremediably stupid. Reading this, you have to wonder how she could possibly have survived this long.
Whether by accident or because someone (read: me) just couldn't take it remains to be seen.
Why is she dumb, you ask. Read on, my dear, and you shall find out.
What's-her-name, that I shall call SaF (stands for Stupid as Fuck, if you were wondering) for practical reasons, meets this hot guy in a bar. Actually, no. She sees him. And promptly leaves the bar. Outside, she somehow manages to fall. This is when WG (Weird Guy) approaches her, all knight in shining armor (not), ready to jump to the defense of the poor damsel in distress.
Oh, sure, it's really nice to help someone who fell. But then WG opens his mouth, and it all goes to hell.
How...creepy charming.
Now, I don't know about you, but if someone I didn't know said that to me, I'd:
1. Scream my head off.
2. Try (and fail) to knock him out.
3. Run like hell. Far.
Of course, stupid heroines being (apparently) a requirement for any book to make it (Twilight, I'm looking at you), SaF invites WG to her place, which is very clever if you ask me. That way if the guy wants to stalk you, he won't even need to track your phone. (And yes, I was reffering to Christian Grey)
So SaF and WG start doing things that are definitely not appropriate for my young, innocent mind.
And then this happens:
So the guy apparently has three hands. I can understand how you might think your mind is playing tricks, how you might chalk it up to nothing, something you imagined in the heat of the moment.
And that's when WG grows another tongue:
Her reaction ? Nothing.
My reaction ?
1. Scream my head off.
2. Try (and fail) to knock him out.
3. Run like hell. Far.
So, to resume the situation: WG has 3 hands, 2 tongues, and is generally creepy as fuck.
But that's still not enough for dear SaF. No, she needs him to grow another dick to finally realize something might be slightly wrong.

Tingler Time Buddy Read with the MacHalo Group. Blame them for this book.

So boring. I kept falling asleep reading this, not dozing, but deep REM sleep. This worked better than Ambien, which is good if you like readable sleep aids, I do not. This wasn't even funny! Despite the subject matter, no laughs. I just kept thinking how stupid the chick was and when would the tentacles come out - they never did. Maybe that's in another 1 of the books in the trilogy, but I won't be reading that = FAIL.

Read this as part of the BDSM Group's Gang Bang. As a tentacle lover, I'm always on the look out for good tentacle sex - be it consensual or not. Actually, the non-con is better for me. In this one, it's a bit porny. The characters are okay. The dialog is rough. The sex writing part needs better work. There were a couple of scenes where it didn't seem physically possible. For example, if the male has two cocks with the larger one on top, then in reverse cowgirl, the big dick goes into the asshole. In this story, it did not.
There was little world building in here. It's just sex, sex, sex and sex. This is not a bad thing, unless the sex is convoluted and disengaging. For some this may be good for them. For me, it was just meh. This is why it is a 2 star for me. It's okay but forgettable.

This is the perfect read if you're looking for a short, HOT, fantasy filled read that is left open to future books if you desire! It was a pretty hot story, Amy goes to the nightclub looking for a man for the night and when she finds one he disappears until she almost falls flat on her face. When Z shows up they skip a dink and hear to hear place. What she never thought would take place, did. Not as good as I was hoping. I'd like a bit more of a realistic reaction to an alien contact. Maybe a little more fear, or a reason behind the lack of fear, not just attraction. Great premise for the storyline, and would to read more about these characters ... get to know them before jumping into the steam so fast.

I'm giving this one star because the premise sounded interesting. It ended up being wannabe tentacle porn. Definite tentacles. Meh on the sex. It could have been because I was distracted by the number of penetrations (isn't that just an awful word? I dislike that weird. lol).
