Annie Archer has helped the Turtle Bay Police Department several times, tracking down criminals or thwarting their intended homicide. This time, however, Annie is burdened with strange visions happening somewhere outside of Turtle Bay. She sees a woman screaming into her phone that someone is trying to kill her. Annie and Sheriff Adam Parker locate the motel where the woman might have spent the night before being killed by someone she picked up at a club the night before.
The Case of the Missing Millions is the second story in the Annie Archer Paranormal Mysteries.
Daisy Landish is a romance and contemporary fiction author, whose clean and sweet novellas have tugged at readers’ heartstrings around the world. When she’s not writing love stories, Daisy spends her time reading, hiking at dawn, and riding into the sunset on her horse, Rosebud.
Another fun and quick read in this series that I'm really liking. Apparently I got my wish and Annie's become much closer to Adam than in the first book. This was a good mystery with a twist at the end and I'm definitely eager to borrow and read the next book in KU.
Steven Langdon was in a bar when he meets Carla Mendez. She enticed him into taking her to a motel.
Meanwhile, Annie Archer awakens from a disturbing dream vision of a woman screaming that a man is trying to murder her. Annie has had true dreams like this before so she knows to take stock of details from the vision and write them down before they fade from memory. Being a witch, Annie brews up a memory potion to help her remember even more details about the vision. She decides to call sheriff Adam Parker to share her vision since she knows someone is in trouble. Anne has helped Adam with these types of situations before. What really happened and can Annie help Adam get to the bottom of things?
I love Annie’s special abilities and the mystery kept me guessing. Very enjoyable short story!
Annie Archer worked with Sheriff Adam Parker who was also her friend in solving cases together. She dealt in magic and had a ghost called Monty who helped her. Annie sees a vision of a murder at a motel and they go there to see what had happened. They find some clues but no body. It was a strange crime. Then Steven Langdon comes to them and tells them of having met Carla Mendes at a bar and how he had gone to her motel. Ultimately they find the body of Mr. Harrison who had embezzled someone. A very strange and exciting read. I received this book via Storyorigin and leave a honest review. I recommend this book to other readers.
The Case of the Missing Millions (Annie Archer Paranormal Mysteries Book 2), my tenth enjoyable short (44 page) read from author Daisy Landish that I finished in under an hour. The second in her Annie Archer Paranormal Mysteries. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author, next up The Case of the Missing Coffin (Annie Archer Paranormal Mysteries Book 3). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018.
Annie is experiencing visions of a woman in a hotel room who is calling 911, claiming that someone is going to kill her. Concerned, Annie contacts Adam, and they head to the hotel, only to discover that the woman is missing. They find blood in the room, suggesting that a crime may have taken place. What has happened to the woman? Is she still alive or has she died?
The case took unexpected turns that left me astonished; I never anticipated them. Annie and Adam collaborate effectively and are gradually getting to know each other better during their weekly dinners.
A powerful dream has Annie worried. If her dream is a "true dream" then someone is in grave danger and there is no time to waste. Even if Annie can decipher the clues buried in the dream will the police be able to get there in time?
I like how this series is developing. Although this book is a novella it has good plot depth and a good mystery to solve. I received an advanced copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
Another short story - perfect if you have an hour to sit and read and don't want to get into a big long story. Annie is up to her usual shenanigans and now has dreams about possible murder. I do like how Annie and Adam are having more of a relationship. Hopefully, the storyline will continue with Annie and Adam having a closer relationship. I like the dreams part of the story, I'd like to see more of stuff like this in the future stories.
The Case of the Missing Millions is book #2 in the Annie Archer Paranormal Mysteries series by Daisy Landish.
This is an enjoyable series. Annie has dreams for a few nights and has to find what it means before someone dies. It was really an interesting mystery and not at all what I expected.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Annie Archer was interesting. I am not normally a reader of paranormal mysteries, but this was a really good one. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. It was a great book.
