Omo.. I was looking for some quick read with possessive hero and fuck me. I got it!

Trace is a forty-five years old grumpy polar bear who owns a successful bar and grille. He's sexy, huge, lewd, cocky and is known for his hard fucking. Trace is a man-whore who likes to fuck and living the life the way he wanted.
Trace is a VERY dominant male. When he talk, thinks and moves had me on a verge of bookgasm! The way he growls and how he was all over Candace makes me want to hump his leg and eat him up! He's stubborn, demanding, rough and just a total hottie bear! Every time he talks dirty on our heroine- I just want to crawl inside the book and tell him to take me instead! lol! I thought Candace was going to be this typical annoying weak heroine but I was damn wrong. She was burned once so I could understand why she didn't want to get involved with Trace aka bear-whore!
The moment Trace saw Candace? Well.. it was pretty intense. The sexual tension was all over the book that at one point it made me feel uncomfortable. LOL! Seriously, it was bloody hot.
Overall this one is dirty , explicit and arousing !
Make damn sure you read this ALONE because you're gonna end up creaming yourself!
I'm hoping Liam will get his own book! <3

Trace was a huge arrogant, bossy, crude alpha-hole and the sweet ending didn't make up for him. 3/4 of the way through I was just trying to finish the book and had lost all desire to read the next two in the series. The ending did make me rethink deleting the rest of the series without reading them though. But I think I'll wait until I've forgotten how much I disliked Trace to start the next one.

Jenika Snow books always do this. They start off SO good & steamy. The hero always talking so dirty you figure the sex scenes will melt your Kindle.

I had been waiting for this book for such a long time!! Yummy smexy dirty talkin bear!!!! This book has hands down the hottest mate meeting I have read in a long time!! I mean, damn girl, you will get naughty shivers!!
Trace is scrumptious, he is possessive, lewd and wickedly delightful! Once he scent his mate he is all in, even though he had a trust issues due to his past. Yup, I am totally in lust!
Candace is a great girl, she isn't meek or a pushover. She could have used a touch more sass, but is easily loveable.
The steam factor is off the charts!!! I lived Trace's naughty mouth, heck I would have loved even more!! I am a sucker for a dirty talker!! There is some serious smexy action in the kitchen and a little stripper pole fun. Oh la, this is a book to read while in the cold shower!!
The story here is mostly all about the couple, not much of an outside plotline. Not a complaint just an observation. Sometimes ya don't need extras, the romance is enough to carry you through.
The mixed narrative really helps you understand where each character is coming from. It is really easy to see the change in POV and never gets confusing.
The other great thing about this series is getting to catch up with old friends from the Wylde Bears series. This time we catch up with Ary and Charlie, they are so cute!!
I am loving this series and can not wait for more. Maverick, Liam and Melissa are all still single!!

Can we please talk about how absolutely mouth-watering Trace is. Perfect name to go with this uber hot polar shifter.
And he drives a motorcycle and is buff to the gods. :sighs: Amazing!
I loved the fact that Candace was curvy and smart. My absolute favorite part was when Candace was at home pajamas on and glasses perched on her nose. And then Trace shows up.

I loved Trace and Candace. They were polar *hahaha* opposites but they connected very well in an elemental level. I really appreciated how Trace, the big strong male was the besotted one...well, as besotted as an alpha could be. But, he never hid his need or desire for Candace. He pursued her and helped her overcome her resistance for him in a most delicious manner. That scene in the kitchen was HAWT. I wonder who is next: Liam, Maverick, or Melissa. I'm gonna love to see the man that will tame her. It should be a fun read.

This is the second book in the Sweet Water series and it features around Trace Dakota the polar bear shifter and owner of the local town bar and grille Dakota Dark's. At forty five Trace is a grumpy polar bear shifter who is happy living his life on his own terms he has escaped his viperous ex wife Karla who is just evil. His son Liam is twenty three years old and living his own life but I hope we see more of him in future stories. Trace thinks he has all he needs until he catches a delicious peach scent that immediately turns his world upside down. Candace Jace is a shy and quiet wolf shifter who lives her life to a quiet routine and with a touch of ocd thrown in. When her best friend Melissa drags her out for a night of fun the last thing she expected to find was a huge, grouchy, alpha, dominant, biker polar bear shifter who is also her mate. At thirty five Candace has also experienced heartbreak in the past and wasn't looking for anyone so finding her mate threw her for a loop. Trace knows what he wants and has no problem chasing his mate. Great characters I really enjoyed this story and how the mates let their animals lead their instincts and stopped fighting what they both want and need. Loved it. I hope we also see more of Maverick the lion shifter and Trace's friend in the future. There were some spelling mistakes here and there but it didn't take away from the enjoyment of the story.

Not how I like my shifters to be.
I am tidying up my books and trying to get reviews posted or replace those that are missing. I have read and reviewed this series before.
I absolutely HATE when a book starts with one of the H’s having sex with someone not their mate.
Once these two meet we get Trace being all MINE, MY MATE crap.
The hero Trace was not only previously married but has a grown son. Yes he explains he got married due to the pregnancy but what would he have done if he met Candace whilst still married.
Candace is all, oh no, not an alpha male for my mate but she doesn’t hold out long before having sex.
Some other woman drama when the ex-wife shows up.
As in book one I find it very strange some of these shifters were previously married. Obviously they do not believe in waiting for their mates?

The idea was very good but the writing was bad . the whole book i was waiting for some actions and steamy stuff ... but that didn't happened . And there is part even though the book is small but there was so much repeating in it that it bored me . It needed more work.

Trace is a very. very. very. dominant and demanding male...short of dragging Candace off and hiding her from the world like a caveman. He is crude and a dirty talker. More animal than human. I love it when he growls and get all possessive. To top it off, he rides a bike and is helluva hunk. It was cute when he tried to give Candace space to think things through. Apparently, it was 3 days too much.
Candace is quite likable though. She is a feisty wolf, curvy and smart at that. She tries her best to resist Trace despite being so so so attracted and in lust with him ;)

I feel like I was waiting for this book forever. Now I've read it all in one night I have a book hangover and no hair of the dog to fix it :( I loved this book. Trace was a very growly, very dominant hero, more then most of Jenika's hero's and I was loving every minute of it. The heroine was a sweet submissive wolf with a backbone of steel. Their story was one of healing the heartbreaks of the past.
Guess I'll start to count down to the next Sweet Water book. Wonder if the hero is Trace's son?

I truly loved this book, Trace & Candace's story. Trace, strong, sexy, dominant & possessive and Candace, sweet, shy & curvy. I love a dominant & possessive male in my stories and a shy, quiet female so this book was really right up my alley. The only thing I did not like was the beginning, I don't like the fact that the story starts off by the lead male sleeping with another woman but this is a personal preference and it shouldn't hinder anyone's choice as its still one of my favourite shifter stories ever! I look forward to more books like this Jenika ;)

The characters of the Sweet Water Series they just suck you right in! This story is about Trace and Candace. Both of them have been hurt before, Trace is your ultimate dominate alpha male fantasy come true. He is strong, sexy, and his dirty talk with drive your crazy! Jenika has a way with how the characters go together so well and how the flow of the story is written. Great book and a great series !

Grumpy Bear Meets His Match
As expected, Trace was crazy intense. I'm glad the psycho ex, Karla, didn't cause to much trouble. I like that Candace has quiet strength. She's both able to calm and match her grumpy bear when it comes to attitude. Love the stripper pole scene, super hot. I can't wait to see more from this series, especially Melissa, Maverick and Liam.

Ending up being a great book, Trace is just perfectly alpha, rough and as gruff and sexy as you could want him to be. Was a little surprised that the opening was so similar to the first book with almost identical thoughts from the men with the faceless woman they have in their bed. Other than that, good read.

Candace was so sweet and understanding with Trace after he opened up about some of his past. When they first met she was a spitfire. Trace became a changed man and it was so great to see these two work things out so easily.

Mmmm, no surprises here, just, hot, dirty, possessive alpha male. I really like Jenika Snow's raunchy writing style and what you see is what you get. No stupid misunderstandings, so TSTL moments, and likeable characters.

Have to say this is the best book so far in the series. I thought Charlie from the Wlyde bears was my favorite but Trace just topped him in my book. I love how when it came to Candace he didn't censor that delicious mouth of his but he did give her the respect she was due.

This book's a tease with a capital T, it started hot and steamy but only delivered when the story's nearly at an end. It is quite dirty and gritty but mostly because the hero has a potty mouth and an attitude to boot.
