I received this book through voracious readers only, in exchange for an honest review. Thoroughly enjoyed the premise, the short story and the nice pace. I always enjoy exploring Canadian content. Did not enjoy the poor editing. Seems an online checker would have helped or even an old fashioned proofread. Sloppy mistakes in sentence cohesion were downright annoying. In addition, twice characters were misidentified - once the dead person was identified as the daughter when she was the niece. Another time the dead person’s name was used instead of her living partner. I liked the protagonist but probably won’t revisit the series due to what I perceived as a lack of attention to the not so small details, already outlined.
