Why didn't anybody tell me about this series sooner? Lacey Monroe is going to beauty school and in love with a grown man. Adrian Sterling is a police officer. Something about a uniform pulls Lacey into a life she was not ready for. Adrian is mentally and physically abusive towards Lacey. Despite this, Lacey stays hoping things will change. Until she and her best friend, Briana, meet Officers Koa Maverick and Ledger Hyde. Lacey is physically attracted to Koa instantly. Ledger met Lacey briefly and knew she was Adrian's girlfriend. They both knew from previous experience how he was with his partners and could not stand him. Koa wanted to hurt him but he also could not deny his instant attraction to Lacey.
This situation some how morphs into a why-choose situation. I was not expecting that but was so happy for all involved. Lacey deserved having someone that will treat her right. Koa and Ledger start off as her protectors. Adrian escalates and does not want to let Lacey go. It does not help things that Lacey starts working at the station. Not only does she see the two guys that she craves, she has to see the one person that she would prefer to never see again. In a sea of manipulations, betrayals and blackmailing, will this trio come out on top? Lacey is forced to grow up and to deal with this situation. Koa and Ledger are there to support her on this journey but will they be enough to keep her safe?

OMG! That was an intense and emotional rollercoaster ride that nearly killed me at the end.
This story was filled with action, suspense, drama, emotional turmoil, passion and spice! But the dark twists and turns throughout had me on the edge of my seat and biting my nails with anxiety. And I loved every moment of it!
Lacey is a sweet, smart and caring woman but finds herself in a terrible situation with her current boyfriend (a verbally abusive cop). But Lacey is a survivor and makes the right decision by leaving. She has no idea that she is going to walk right into the arms of two wonderful men that will turn her world upside down and open her heart back up to finding love.
Koa and Ledger, two sexy cops, instantly feel a connection with Lacey and know that they will do anything and everything to protect her, heal her and make her understand that she is beautiful and worthy of love, the kind of love that they can give her.
The banter between Lacey, Koa and Ledger is filled with heartwarming and sweet words, funny little quips and sarcasm, and a fierce sexual desire oozing between them. The little touches, the moments of insane pleasure, and the strong need to cherish Lacey had my heart swooning over these two men. And the spicy moments -DAMN- they were deliciously hot and panty melting!
This is a well written story with amazing swoon worthy characters (except one) and a storyline that had my heart racing and my panties dripping.
But that ending has left me shocked and aching to know what the hell is going to happen now!

If you want to cry, gasp, scream, and melt all in the same book, read Legal Intentions. I love multiple POV books, and this gives you that and so much more. The characters are wonderful, the story is wonderful, the spice is wonderful, it's just wonderful. It does end on a cliffhanger, so just be warned of that. Also, check the warnings. They're definitely important for this one. Lacey, Koa, Ledger, Briana, and Monkey are amazing, and you'll love to watch them grow throughout the book. Don't worry; there are plenty of characters that you'll love to hate too. I'm ready to dive into book two, which is coming soon.

I absolutely devoured this book. It captured my attention and held it from the very first chapter and with my unmedicated ADHD that NEVER happens. Koa and Ledger were so freaking hot. I knew I loved a man in uniform but mannn I didn’t think reading about them would be so hot. They are possessive, obsessive, and everything you want in a fictional boyfriend. But I swear if there are many more scenes with Adrian in the next book I will personally jump into the book and banish him for good. The tension between Lacey, Koa, and Ledger is unlike ANYTHING I’ve read before and lets just say I’ve read A LOT. I have never read or seen so much tension portrayed before and I am obsessed. I LOVED the book and I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Oof! This book was hot and smexy. Steamy and sweet. It stirs all the emotions. From wanting to shake a young woman in the beginning of her adulthood to watching her grow strong and wanting to shout how proud you are of her to feeling her self-esteem struggles and fears of being not good. To absolutely wanting to push her at Koa and Ledger and tell her to go for it. To wishing that I had a friend like Bri. Then you go and ruin it all but leaving me dangling on a cliff of utmost despair. This was superb. I highly, highly recommend it.

I was very fortunate to get to ARC read this book. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
This book is gonna have me looking at my local officers a little too hard now, wondering if they are a Koa & Ledger.
This was a fun, sexy why choose book that I will recommend to everyone.

Lacey was dating a guy named Adrian. He was a police officer that she met while she was working at the coffee shop. She was beautiful and every chance he got he was always putting her down and abusive. She had enough one night and left his apartment to go out with her friend Bri. That is when she met Koa and Ledger. They became fast friends and eventually her and koa became more. This was a great book. It ended on a cliffhanger. So good.

It’s hard to believe this is a debut novel as it was so good! I loved Lacey she is such a loveable FMC but she is struggling with her self-esteem after a horrible relationship. Along come Koa & Ledger who help to build her back up alongside showing her that she is worth love. I love the relationship between the three of them as it shows a caring side to the men and I loved seeing them teach Lacey how a woman should be treated. The sexual tension between the three of them is on fire and you can’t help rooting for them. The cliffhanger was a killer and I’m looking forward to reading the next book!!

3.5 ⭐️’s - I enjoyed this story, the actual plot line, a lot! And to echo the other reviews, holy cow that ending. Even tho I knew something was bound to go down at the end of the book I did not expect what it is that happened. It is a tad of the smut heavy side and not all of it is plot enhancing which is the reason my rating is a bit lower. NO HATE it’s just personally not something I actively seek out in books I read. However I’m going to restate that I genuinely enjoyed this plot line. This is not a negative review in any sense of the word, I’m just putting that out there. I can’t wait to start book 2 and am grateful that I found this series after 2 was already out cause waiting after that ending would’ve ended me.

Okay not even just the spice but the story line and the characters! Yes. Yes. Yes. And add another yes on there for it being a cop romance. 😂 my girl Lacey went through the ringer yall but i was jumping up and down for her after she got away from the toxic (iykyk)
The ending….i can’t even talk about. My heart is broken. And the cliffhanger….bless up that book 2 is out shortly.

Wowzer! The spicy scenes were intense. The cliffhanger was INTENSE! One of my favorite reads so far this year. The fmc seemed a little meek, and i was afraid i wasnt going to like her...but i did. Love both mmc's, love the bff, love the bff's parrot.. LOL!!

A soft spoken, young MFC is put into a situation of abuse that many readers may be able to relate to on a real life level. There is no lack of traumatic and abusive events.
The story is spot on for narcissistic abuse. Interesting enough to continue the series. Watching the FMC grow into a stronger woman throughout the story and learn that the things she was subconsciously programmed about herself was a nice touch. The slow burn between the main characters builds nicely and ends with a bang. This story has a cliffhanger. I am intrigued enough to see what happens in the second book as much as I am hopeful for the development of the FMC.

I absolutely loved this book!!!! The main character, Lacey, is in an abusive relationship (with a cop) and struggling to get out of it. She befriends 2 additional cops (Kia and Ledger) who try protect her from her abusive ex and ,in the process, develop feeling for each other.
This book has a great plot and fantastic characters. It pulled me in from page 1. If you like men in uniforms and spicy/kinky sex, this is the book for you!

I want to love it. The premise sounded great but I felt like the storyline got lost with a bunch of adults acting and thinking like horny teenagers. I like smut as much as the next person, but please give me substance 🙏🏼

Legal Intentions is a MFM, forced proximity, why choose, deliciously spicy story with hot cops who will un-alive whoever tries to hurt Lacey. I read this book in one sitting because it was so good I could not put it down. The chemistry between Koa, Lacey and Ledger was vibrant. The tension between them was so palpable. The protective nature of the boys was perfect and their naughty personality made it even hotter. There was banter, romance, action, and suspense. Then there was that ending... boy, what a cliffhanger!! To know that this was a debut novel for this writer made it even more impressive. I cannot wait for the next installment and for more books by Anastasia Wright!

Really enjoyed this one. When we first meet Lacey she is head over heels for the wrong man and that becomes very apparent quickly. The problem with that? He can’t seem to let her go. Lacey gets a little help finding a new normal from her bestie Bri and new friends Koa and Ledger. I absolutely fell in love with Koa and Ledger, which is great because this does turn into RH. This was fast paced read with humor, suspense, and some heat. Make sure you check TW and be ready to grab book 2 because it ends in a cliffhanger!

Oh my god. I am at a loss for words......the cliffhanger is going to leave me seriously traumatized until I can start the continuation of Ledger, Lacey and Koa's tale.
I have always and will forever be a sucker for a hot cop tale. Throw in an age-gap, his best friend and one abusive ex and you have an extremely detailed story. What I really loved about this story was the attention to detail in terms of building the relationship between Koa, Ledger and Lacey. Yes, there were a couple of really hot moments in the beginning that defiantly left me wanting so much more, but the slow burn that took place before all of the big fireworks happened was so thoughtfully crafted. As the reader, you really got the sense of just who these characters really were outside of the situation that they were finding themselves falling into. There are certainly some heartbreaking moments that are lurking in their closets so to speak (especially Koa) that I feel could have not been as impactful or have carried the same way in the story if the spicier moments were happening right from the beginning constantly. I think it gave a more rounded character base and really made me fall in love with both Ledger and Koa that much more.
Lacey by far had to be my favorite character. She is certainly a girl on the curvier side and having been abused by her ex (more emotionally than anything else) she certainly doesn't always feel her sexiest, especially when confronted with the two absolute studs that are Koa and Maverick. She still does have her moments of confidence but it was really nice to see the vulnerable side of her and to see just how these studs of men handled those situations. Gave me a bit of confidence that there are men still out there who find non stick figured women sexy.
I am super excited to see what happens next and pray that our MC's get their happily ever after, especially now that they have just claimed everything they want. I would also like to see a resolution to Lacey's ex because let's be honest, he is trash, was trash from the beginning and I would love nothing more than to see him have the ending that he deserves. I can't wait to dive into the next story because I know I won't be able to wait to see what happens!

Okay, so this one has been on my FYP for some time now and every time it comes up I say: next I'll read you, but then I do have a TBR in my brain and it's not fair to books that have been there for years. But today I caved in (yes Anastasia, your tiktoks finally made me cave in and download the book and put it on top of my list) and damn was it a good read! That cliffhanger sucked but thankfully the 2nd book is out, and I am just hoping it's a conclusion because if it ends up in another cliffhanger like this one I'll go bonkers!
This is your MFM romance with a heroine that was in an abusive relationship and she ends up with her ex's colleagues. And to make stuff even more interesting this is your real life professions (not that I have anything against mafia and billionaire romances they are my favourite, but sometimes you get to read about something else, right?) - our MMCs are police officers (yup, even her ex!). It's your insta-lust/attraction story between MMCs and FMC and our FMC is a curvy one who is shy about her body (extra courtesy because of her ex). But our MMCs love her curves and remind her that she is beautiful all the time!
I loved the story a lot. I loved the banter the characters and how everyone had their insecurities but they were working through them! And it was so nice to see how the relationship between Koa and Lacey was blooming and then adding Ledger to it as well! The book had a decent plot/spice ration (just exactly how I like it in my usual reads) and some of the scenes that played out in the book! it was too hot!
Overall this was a great book, and it had a good pacing for a debut novel, so Anastasia keep it up, as I'm off to read the next book (i just took a breather to write this so I wouldn't forget what I just read).

Review of both books
The first book I enjoyed about 3/4 of it. The plot of how easily the FMC found herself to be in a relationship that was controlling I thought was honest and open, how gradual you can find yourself in these relationships but can’t as easily leave.
I thought the premise of the initial plot was good, the FMC having left one relationship with a cop and not trusting another but that’s about all before I lost my enjoyment of it.
I think maybe some more character development might have helped but there wasn’t much before the FMC and MMC were randomly going at it. It had been about an hour after leaving a long term relationship with DA and she’s being tied up and used by another cop…. In a storage room in a bar.
Then we have the lock of concern with any of her SA reports by her boss, who was the police chief, and also the boss of the man she was reporting.
I understand and know that not every case is treated the right way in life but the fact that there seemed to be zero action from reporting something like that occurring in the police station from the chief just seemed hard to connect with.
The second book for me became implausible and just dramatic to write words than to lend to the story as a whole. I just didn’t connect with it

>>Bri and Lacey's banter was hilarious (and blush worthy). The bird, Monkey, delivered some laughs, too. Koa and Ledger had such a cool dynamic and their banter rivaled Bri and Lacey's. Ledger's snacking fettish and the Dunkin' references added a funny touch, too. I enjoyed the story line, but the writing at times felt...off. I chalked it up to the immaturity of a 20 year old figuring her life out, but some of Lacey's lines were cringe. And Adrian as the villian worked out in the story, but he went a bit far for my limits with some of his lines...jesus he was brutal. Nonetheless, the story was captivating and the mystery/suspense added something extra.

>>Bri and Lacey's banter was hilarious (and blush worthy). The bird, Monkey, delivered some laughs, too. Koa and Ledger had such a cool dynamic and their banter rivaled Bri and Lacey's. Ledger's snacking fettish and the Dunkin' references added a funny touch, too. I enjoyed the story line, but the writing at times felt...off. I chalked it up to the immaturity of a 20 year old figuring her life out, but some of Lacey's lines were cringe. And Adrian as the villian worked out in the story, but he went a bit far for my limits with some of his lines...jesus he was brutal. Nonetheless, the story was captivating and the mystery/suspense added something extra.

Never ever did I expect this book to CONSUME me?
Started this at 6:30pm and stopped at 3:45am the next morning!
I was iffy at the beginning simply because of Lacey but as I kept reading she slowly grew on me. Her POVs were sometimes hard to read but not in the writing sense but in the way it hurts when you know how those words feel when they are slung at you carelessly. I felt for her and then it sky rocketed when it needed to.
Koa Maverick, well well can we talk about on sight! Phew I could feel the tension come off the page when he realizes who Lacey is then to find out later on why he reacted that way, I did not expect to cry but I teared up. A big brothers worst fear is not protecting the little ones that came after him.
Koa turns into Lacey's safe space then enter Ledger, we cannot forget about Ledger who becomes an even bigger part of her safe space.
I want to go into soo much more but it would give away soo much and this book needs to be read. You need to dive in thinking this is a captivating, thrilling, spicy book and it is but it is a whole lot more too, trust me!
I could not put this book down!

Woooweeee was this book spicy 🥵. The story is emotional, heart breaking, funny, and redeeming.
Lacey- a young lady who get involved with a bad person, who takes advantage and abuses her. She stays strong and stands her ground and does her best to not fall into the statics of an abusive relationship. Through this she meets the men of her dreams.
Koa- this alpha is everything. He strong, kind, possessive, but most importantly he’s RESPECTFUL! He is so aware and careful with Lacey giving her the space, strength, and love she deserves.
Ledger - Koas job partner and bff. He’s funny, hot, and sweet. His dirty talk is on point 💋. He’s also so protective over Lacey and Koa.
The three of them are so fun. The men are beyond respectful of Lacey of her wants and needs. They’re so patient but when they gets going, it’s so hot. Their friendship is strong and loving and their love for her is pure.
This story surprised me, it was well done with lots of spice. The ending definitely leaving me needing more!!!

Well, Hello Book Hangover...
I need the 2nd book like yesterday!!
The spice in this book was sooooo good 🔥 but there was an actual storyline as well.... and that cliffhanger!!!
When Lacey's verbally abusive, cop boyfriend gets physical, she finally ends the relationship.
ENTER Koa and Ledger, her ex’s colleagues.
Between the 3 of them, they are trying to bring down her ex, but he is smart enough to ensure he doesn't get caught or leave evidence.
The FMC is a bit repetitive with her insecurities, but after what she has been through, it's understandable that she doesn't just 'get over it'.
Koa and Ledger are hot cops and also so sweet in regards to respecting Lacey and making sure she is comfortable and helping build her confidence and trying to squash those insecurities.
Overall, I loved everything about this book, and I can't wait for the 2nd one.

This was a wild ride and I loved every minute of it!
Legal Intentions followed Lacey, a young woman who has found herself in a relationship with an older cop who swept her off her feet. But he begins to show his true colors and Lacey finds herself in an abusive relationship. She realizes that she is strong and decides to leave. Little does she know, that she will fall directly into the arms of two of her ex boyfriend's enemies, Koa Maverick and Ledger Hyde. These two men are nothing like Lacey’s ex and together they help build back her confidence and self worth.
The relationship between Lacey, Koa, and Ledger was HOT! I love how comfortable Lacey felt with these two men and how much they cherished her. Lacey deserved to feel loved and have a man treat her right, and she was so lucky to have TWO sexy men prove this to her. The chemistry between them was intense and the spice was SPICIN!
I am going to be waiting, not so patiently, for the next book after that ending! I need more!

This is more of a 3-3.5 star read for me. Book had its good moments but don’t like the repetitive dialogue. Ended on a cliffhanger ugh!
Ex was abusive, mostly verbally but then physically. h moved on with 2 other men but still had her insecurities because of the verbal abuse from previous relationship. (I totally get why she feels insecure). The repetitiveness comes from h constantly thinking that she’s not pretty enough, thin enough, etc.
A strong h would say F*** that! I got 2 men that are now gaga over me. My ex could go F*** himself. (That’s how I roll).

What an Edge of Your Seat Ending to Book!!!
Thank goodness that book 2 is already released because as soon as I finish writing this, I will be heading to grab it out of KU! My heart is pounding out of my chest with that cliffy for an ending. I need to know what happens next. If you can’t tell by now, this book gripped me immediately and hasn’t let me go. I love Lacey, Kia, and Ledger. I love how organic their relationship feels, and their chemistry is some of the best I have ever read. This book will give you all the feels, including great laughs from a whitty parrot. I loved every word in it, and now I have to go and grab book 2 because I’m not waiting!
