When a terrifying stalker turns deadly, high-powered family law attorney Tenaya Washington’s life is upended in an instant. And that’s before she has to beg her estranged fatherfor help.
Whisked from her glittering Los Angeles high-rise to a state-of-the-art compound at the base of the Sierra Nevada range, she goes from legal rising star to fish out of water in the blink of an eye.
She’s grateful for the protection, but having to rely on the man who abandoned her before she hit preschool and his stunning protégé, Tai Kaholo––six-plus-feet of Special Ops glory––is going to take a lot of getting used to.
Not that she’ll have the time.
When her stalker threatens to continue killing, she and Tai and the Redemption Creek team are forced back to the city.
And now, it’s Tai who’s torn from his element. Playing Tenaya’s unexpected groom isn’t the worst assignment the former Black Ops Marine has ever had, but did the role really have to involve tuxedos and useless designer shoes?
While Tai fights a growing attraction to the beautiful, prickly lawyer, he and the Redemption Creek team tempt her stalker out into the open, unaware that the evil they’re chasing is far worse than they could have imagined.
And the clock is ticking. The longer the killer eludes them, the more women could die, ending with Tenaya.
Redemption Where ranches run forever, granite peaks touch the sky, and wounded hearts seek home. Haunted by their pasts and hunted by the shadowy international cabal who betrayed them, the former black ops soldiers of Black-out Squadron try to rebuild their shattered faith and search out redemption…by seeking justice for folks who can't fight their own battles.
I so wanted to like this book, I really and truly did. This is an amazing author who writes wonderful action packed series with elements of faith and interesting realistic characters. But one of the main characters was so annoying and got under my skin to the point that I was gritting my teeth. I understand her frustration with her father, but she never asked for his side of the story, just walked around with an attitude the size of the Washington Monument. In all fairness it wasn't my story to write, and there are countless real life individuals with family issues. Unfortunately I stopped reading at the 25% mark, just couldn't continue as Teneya was wrecking my nerves. Apologies to the author as all other books I have read by her were exceptional and I couldn't put them down. I skipped to the end and read the last two chapters and the epilogue, so I was pleased with the ending. Perhaps if I had continued with the story I would have reconciled with the character. Sorry, am moving on to the next book in the series.
This book is a roller-coaster that stopped at the top!! The whole time on the cusp of the edge! The suspense does not let go and you won't be able to stop reading. You think you are living the dream . . . But . . . A stalker is on the hunt! Where do you go to escape this mad man? Luckily Tenaya has an estranged Dad with some wicked army skills and top-notch army buddies from Redemption Creek. I love the chemistry between Tai and Tenaya. Between the angst of keeping Tenaya safe, Tai provided quite a few humorous situations! I love the "family" bond, being there for each other no matter what. Edie you have me hooked on this series and I cannot wait to see what is going to happen next! Waiting on pins and needles for Jason's story!
This is a wonderful book full of danger and excitement with a few twists and turns to surprise the readers. Tenaya Washington has a stalker turned murderer after her and to keep her close family safe she has to turn to the one person who left her and her mother alone for help, her estranged father. Her father happens to be the mentor and former instructor for the BlackOut Squadron in the military so when he discovers his daughter is being stalked by the head of a Russian cartel on the west coast he enlist Bridger’s crew to help flush him out and put him behind bars. Part of the plan for her protection is that Tai Kaholo return to LA pretending to be her wealthy husband with the team helping them. Highly recommended for entertaining reading pleasure.
Such a wonderful addition to this series. Killer Sins is Tai and Tenaya's story involving a stalker, a fake marriage, action, tension, twists and turns, romance, and suspense. There was not only tension between Tai and Tenaya after they met but also tension between Tenaya and her dad. She has feelings of resentment toward her dad and has to finally forgive him for walking out of her life when she was quite young. Although I suspected one person was involved, Killer Sins will keep you guessing and turning the pages until you discover whodunit. Looking forward to the fourth installment.
4 stars I purchased a copy of the Christian Romantic Suspense Killer Sins by Edie James, and this review was given freely.
Drama, family tension, a power play between mobs, and frequent cues for the stalker’s identity make this an interesting story. Features the continuing story of the Redemption Inc. team but is mainly the story of Tai finding love with the stalked LA Attorney Tenaya, her reconciliation with her birth father, and contains a cameo of Jason during Jane and Bridger’s wedding.
Strong independent woman….melts when he’s so protective of her…
Thanks for keeping this story going! I’m so glad sweet and funny Tai got his girl.
These books are always a one-session read for me. LOVE. THEM. I mean, come on. Uber awesome black ops team that acts more like a family goes up against seriously legit bad guys while falling in the sweetest love ever and always praying to God. What’s not to love??
I really liked this one. A good, clean Christian romantic suspense story that wasn’t scary nor gory. Just enough action to keep it interesting with a good ending. It wasn’t overly predictable. I felt it wasn’t necessary to read the entire series, it stood quite well alone, although I’m sure the secondary characters have their own stories as well. I enjoyed it. I look forward to reading the next one in the series and I recommend this one.
Killer Sins is another strong Christian Romance/Suspense story from Edie James. Though a bit repetitive and predictable, this book, like a good Hallmark movie, was a fun romance.
The blend of suspense, action, and romance in this clean, Christian Contemporary Fiction book is well done with believable characters and a solid plot.
I recommend Killer Sins and look forward to reading the next book in this series.
This is a Must Read book for anyone who enjoys a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It's a clean romance that is full of action, suspense, and drama. Tenaya and Tia's story will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I received a complimentary copy and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
This book has wonderful characters who are a brotherhood. They are loyal, smart, skilled, and determined. The women are also. This story has mystery, some action, some romance, and a happy ending. There is a story arc that goes on to more books in this series, but it isn't "cliffhangerish."
Just sorry I or should Say we have to wait so lone for book 5. May is my surgery month and I was so looking for it to help fill my down time keep up the wonderful job of entertaining you readers.
Tenaya’s former coworker, Jarrod, got into so much hot water by lying and so so much more. Would Tenaya figure it out in time with Tai’s and her dad’s help, before someone was critically wounded????? Another great mystery that you want to read ASAP.
This is the third book in The Redemption Creek Series but this outstanding story can be read as a standalone. Tai and Tenaya must overcome many obstacles on their road to HEA. The plot is outstanding and the characters are very well developed. Great Read!
Prepare to stay up late reading this book cover to cover! By the time you finish Tai and Tenaya's story you'll be ready to pack your bags and move to Redemption Creek!
I really enjoyed the storyline. It was something different than a lot of other books. The characters are realistic and lovable. It was definitely a keeper. I definitely recommend this book.
Tenaya Washington, a family law attorney, is being stalked. She turns to her estranged father, Graham Washington, for help. Graham and his Redemption Creek team, especially Tai Kaholo, will be helping to find Tenaya’s stalker. Tenaya still holds a lot of bitterness towards her father for leaving. Tai is assigned to protect Tenaya and has to pretend to be her groom which takes him out of his normal daily life. Who is stalking Tenaya? Will she be able to forgive her father? Will Tai and Tenaya work out their differences?
Killer Sins is well written and is a clean romance suspense novel. It has drama, action, suspense, family issues, romance, and Christian values. I highly recommend the Redemption Creek series.
