Loving Angel isn’t easy. Actually it is downright exhausting, but somehow she weaseled her way into my life. She has become my everything—my reason for existing—my reason for breathing. I love the ever-loving crap out of Angel Eyes. There is nothing I wouldn’t endure for her—even college.
College. Ugh.
I hope the frat boys, the jocks, and the nerds are prepared for what is about to embark on their school this fall. Half-demons. Hunters. And umm, the Keystone? Yeah, that is going to take getting used to.
We aren’t exactly your average freshman. And somehow I find myself stuck with a bunch of troublesome females to look after. Angel. Emma. Lexi. Pretty sure I got the raw end of the stick.
But that isn’t the worst of it. There is someone lurking in the shadows, spying and stalking my girlfriend. He is a dead man. How many people am I going to have to kill for this girl? A better question would be how many people wouldn’t I kill for her?
As many as it took.
Angel is about to experience betrayal of the worst kind. And this time, it’s not entirely my fault—shocker.

I loved the first three books of this series! I flew through each book in an evening. This one is from Chase's point of view and it took me a week to drag myself through it. I really preferred Angel's perspective because of the humor and strength she has. I hate to say this but Chase bores me. Through this whole book, I kept wishing to know why was going on from Angel's perspective. I just love her character!
Finally a book in Chase's POV. I got to understand his love for Angel and how he always wants to protect her. I thought getting into his mind makes him more honorable. I thought the way he loved his family was sweet and special. I hope there will be more of Chase's POV. It will be interesting if Redeeming Angel was in dual perspective. Overall, a fantastic read.
This story picks up on graduation day in Spring Valley. This is the second to the last book in this series, and we join Angel and Chase as they go to college. She is fully bonded with him now and a keystone, whatever that is, but he is one scary protective, loving half-human half-demon.
I'm happy to say Angel is now a badass heroine with very cool supernatural powers. Where the other books have been from Angel's perspective with hints of Chase, this one seems to be from his, and it feels like the wording is a bit out of character for him; we didn't get his innermost thoughts, but then what we did get I don't see him using some of these words. Maybe it is me, but I don't imagine this human demon man using slang words to describe things.
For stay, Angels and Chase's bond opens up a whole different catastrophe at college. Chase must do something for the love he never thought he would have to do, and he leaves this on a cliffhanger. I do like the bonus epilogue from Angels' point of view.
There is another book in this series Redeeming Angel. However, I have decided not to read it. I'm sure it will end happily for Chase and Angel, but the storyline isn't interesting to me anymore.
At this point, this series that started very similar to twilight has progressed into very not similar with demon powers and hell on their doorstep. Chase and Angel's relationship is hot and steamy but also very supernatural. I did enjoy the mystery of what he was in the first book and why she mattered in the second, but by the third and fourth, I was beginning to lose the enjoyment of this series as it seems to be the same battles constantly. If you like supernatural, paranormal, and forbidden love, you can try this one.
6 weeks. It took me 6 weeks to read this book. Actually a little bit more than 6 weeks. 6.5 weeks. Oh wow. And its not even that long of a book. I have read books in 3 days. And once I read a book in one day; started reading at like 8am and didnt stop til like 1am the next day. So 6 weeks should tell you something. And I had to force myself by saying, ok I am going to read at least 5% per night. I don't even know why I continued with this series. The other books werent really good. But I was hopeful about this one because it was from Chase's perspective and I actually liked Chase, if no other reason than he was basically Daemon from the Lux series (which doesnt really speak well for the author but whatever). Anyway let me just stop babbling and tell you what I didnt like about this book. The story was not interesting at all. Chase is an annoyingly soft person who seems like he is a wuss but is pretending to be so hardcore (which is super not attractive). Several of the events make no sense and are unrealistic. The new characters are boring and stupid. And the typos. Again...I have never seen so many typos in a series. Every book has about a million typos. And Im not just talking about misspelled words. I mean exchanging whole names for another so that you read a sentence, which doesnt make sense and then youre like, oh that was supposed to say Emma not Lexi. And then I get to the end and Im like well at least I can finally get the end of this wretched series and...NO! Theres another book coming out in 2015. Im 4 books in but I refuse to read another one of these dreadful books. Good riddance JL Weil!
Wow !!! What the Hell just happend ? I was waiting for all sorts of ending, but that one ? I didn't see that coming. How am I supposed to wait for the next book with such a cliffhanger ? I just CAN'T I'm still shaking and heartbreaking by the ending. The story is told by Chase Winters' point of view. HIS POINT OF VIEW I thought I was gonna die when I saw this. It was really refreshing to have the story told by him because we have the opportunity to be in the head of the sexy, protective-as-hell, HOT-as-hell, smart, and heartmelting Chase. And that my dears, is A-WE-SO-ME. The story starts when Lexi, Angel and Chase are leaving for college. The three of them are gonna leave with Emma. Yeah, I know what your thinking Emma means TROUBLE and you're probably right ;) ! In this book, we also meet the famous Collin Lexi keeps talking about and Chase will not be happy, AT ALL. But enough with me telling you what is inside the story because honestly you just have to read this. I loved EVEVRY SECOND OF IT. And with such an EPIC ending I can't wait for the next book because I can't believe what I just read ;)
Meh. I have enjoyed the series so far, but being in Chase’s head made me dislike Angel. She was already pretty whiny and obstinate, but now I am feeling like she doesn’t deserve him. Hopefully, the next book will change my mind. Overall, I give the series 3.5 stars and it’s worth the read. As long as you don’t feel like you always have to love the heroine to enjoy the book.
Oh ma gawd!!!! Chase's point of view is just what this story needs. Somehow the story being told from a half-demon comes out more sappier than Angel's point of view.
So I was excited to get Chase's side. Now ....... not so much. I could handle Angel CONSTANTLY talking about chase's godly body, however to have to hear Chase talk about his body for and entire book was annoying. I enjoyed to story but i really dont like being in Chase's head.
This book dragged. A lot. I usually read a book in a day or two. This one took about a year and a half. The love story has been brushed under a rug. The action was very repetitive and expected. I can’t even bring myself to read the final book. I wish I felt differently.

College has been extremely exciting for this lot and not just in the way that it is for normal teens.
I think chase has bit off more than he can chew with this little adventure and I hope things go his way.
It sort of annoys me when books finish on such a cliffhanger, however the next book is already available so I'm off to finish the series ;)
I read this book a couple of years ago when I first started blogging and then took some time off from blogging. If you haven't noticed, I am back in full swing. I absolutely love this series from J.L. Weil! I was sad when it came to an end, but at the same time, it brought me to find other great books from J.L. Weil.
The one thing I didn't like about this book was Chase's POV. I wasn't so crazy over hearing the story come from him. I would have much rather read this book in Angels POV like the others.
I didn’t love this book as much as the others . Chases point of view was nice to see. I did laugh a lot from the ridiculous banter between all of them and the name calling. Reminds me of me and my boyfriend. In this book Ángel, chase, Lexi and Emma go off to college and it’s not easy when the hell hounds and demons come after them. Ángels body is changing and hell wants her. And now that her father comes back everything changes. Hell on earth is starting will their love survive
I was excited to see it was his POV but just could not get into this book due to the story line. Ended up stopping reading after their first collage party. This book also tries to compare it self to Twilight, mortal instrument and divergent... its okay. Not anywhere near as amazing as any of these books. I likely won’t try to finish this book nor read the last one. I got trough the first three books fast (even though I do find both main characters immature and annoying a lot of times).
After H.S. graduation, Chase, Angel, Lexi and Emma leave home and head to college. But their problems follow them there as Angel is changing into something else, developing new powers. Then someone unexpected from her family shows up and everything that’s happened up to now comes to a deadly climax.
Fave scenes: the college student demon, the frat party, Emma & the star and Chase & Emma stopping Angel.
Its off putting to me not reading from her POV ....I think this one is like a inbetweener... I love every jl book iv read but as randy Jackson would say...it was just all right for me dog...I'm going on to the last one though...I gotsta find out how their story ends...come on J.L let em b happy and have lill demon babies..🌸
I liked Chase's POV. This gave me another perception of the situation they find themselves in. However, this shows me the many flaws that are in the relationship. Chase is so worried about being a hero that he alienates himself. Angel is so worried about everyone else that she leaves herself and Chase vulnerable. They are working independently. It gets old.
Oh my goodness! This book is in Chase's point of view. And though there are a few cute and funny parts, like Chase listening in to girls in class talking about him, there are many more upsetting things going on! This book is a pivotal point in Angel and Chase's story. There is only one book left, and I am getting it now, because I have to know what happens!
Everything JL Weil writes is amazing. This whole series is completely addicting, sexy and will cause you extreme anxiety - this book is no exception. I am just so grateful that the series is complete, so I can download the next one to read immediately. I would not have handled that cliffhanger well!!
It was great having a story from Chase’s perspective. It is a new chapter in these characters lives and this new chapter has all kinds of horror occurring, sometimes I think I wish they would get a break from all of this demon stuff but it is also this stuff that makes it exciting. There is a shocking visitor and in the end such heartbreak that I can only hope doesn’t last for long.
Emma lexi angel and chase go off to start anew chapter in there lives at college its just a shame it doesnt go as planned. It seems when your the keystone you will never be left alone as angel realises shes calling the demons to protect her her abilities start to growing shes changing. Will she ever be the angel everyone knows and loves or is she changed become repair...
This was book 4 in the Divisa series and it was in Chase's POV. I didn't love this as much as the first three books as I preferred Angel's POV more but it was nice hearing things from his perspective especially with the event that happened at the end. I'm excited to read book 5 now which is the last book in this series!
This series was actually one of my favorites. The first three books were 5 stars for me, but this one really fell flat. I really didn’t like the angle they started to take with it and it ruined the series for me.
Chase and Angel didn't have time to unpack before things started getting weird. Chase feels that someone is watching them and he doesn't think it is a demon. I nearly flipped when I found out. And you will too!
these are getting harder to read lol. and glad to know that male MC’s can be as dumb as female MC’s. i obviously knew Chase was irrational, but this is just a whole new level of ridiculous.
but i obviously have to finish out the series…last one here i come!
