Can Beth open her heart enough to let love in? Can Nate overcome the demons of his past?
Nice guy defenseman Nate has only ever had one girlfriend. Under the strict discipline of his Army father, hockey was everything. But after a hot as hell hook-up, he falls for naughty, commitment shy makeup artist Beth. He wants to tame this wild girl, and together they embark on an erotic ride neither of them will ever forget.
Beth struggles with where she wants love to take her. When she hooks up with Nate, everything she thought she wanted seems so far from true. The idea of settling is something she hadn't thought of doing just yet, but Nate makes for a tempting and steamy chance she might not ever get again.
I began reading romance novels in 2019 and became instantly hooked. I was inspired to write my own during the 2020 lockdown and first self-published on Wattpad. With the help of Instagram, I gained a loyal following and eventually secured a publishing contract with 4Horsemen Publications. I am a recent but enthusiastic follower of the Dallas Stars Ice Hockey team and in particular the delicious Tyler Seguin. My Seattle Whalers hockey romance series has a loyal following on Instagram and I intend to keep writing about my crazy gang for as long as the readers want them. I love an espresso martini, dirty-talking alpha heroes with tattoos and a lazy Sunday breakfast. "Love doesn't happen for everyone" This is book 2 in the Seattle Whalers series, and my favorite one so far. It's the perfect mix of hockey, friendship, laughs, naughty stuff, sweet stuff, and very hot sex. Yep, Nate and Beth are quite the pair.
"Nate Halstead: Seattle Whalers defenseman, sexy, tall, and my Achilles heal." I loved Nate for most of the book. He may be a hockey player, but he's not all about the puck bunnies. He has his head screwed on straight. He's been through a hard past, and he still managed to be the sweetest guy ever. In the 10% or so of the book when I wasn't a fan of him, I wanted to punch him hard, but then he got his head out of his ass, and that was fine by me.
"You're always beautiful to me." Beth was sort of the same. There was a time when I didn't like her much. I love that she's tough and independent, full of sass, unashamedly loves sex and isn't afraid to experiment, and is confident about herself. My favorite type of heroine! However, her fear of commitment threw me off a bit at first but, just like Nate, she won me over too. Also, the fact that she listens to Jagged Little Pill at a specific time in the book has me singing 'You Oughta Know' since yesterday.
"There's going to be no more fucking around, no more dancing around each other. She's either in it all the way, or she's not." Nate and Beth hooked up in the previous book. She's never looking to get attached to anyone, and prefers to keep everything casual, but he's not like that. And then you find out he is definitely into her. He wants her, all the way, and he's not afraid to show it. Their dates and the time they spend together, the sweet things he does for her... that made me swoon a bit. The sexy things he does to her, yeah, that was fire!
Both of them have things they need to deal with. Nate has his past, and Beth has her commitment issues. It's not easy for them to get there, but they do. And then Nate fucks it up (hence me wanting to punch him, location still TBD). But Emily Bunney doesn't disappoint, and gives us the happy ending we need, and the happy ending these two deserve to have. And... with a grand gesture, which may or may not involve some singing, and the Backstreet Boys. Come on, people, what's not to love?
"He tastes so good, like home and sex and everything I'll ever need for the rest of my life." Although Nate and Beth are so different, have very different backgrounds and expectations, and there's even an age gap between them, none of that matters. Sometimes it's just all about letting go of what's holding you down, and embracing what's staring you in the face.
Please note: trigger warning for mentioning/dealing with death, grief, and domestic violence. I didn't think it was that bad, but just in case, please bear this in mind before reading.
⚠️𝕋ℝ𝕀𝔾𝔾𝔼ℝ𝕎𝔸ℝℕ𝕀ℕ𝔾 ⚠️ This book deals with domestic abuse and violence, anxiety, death and grief.
I feel ridiculously happy as he grabs the chicken wing out my hand and shoves it in his mouth, stripping all the meat off in one impressive motion. “Damn, cowboy,” I’d husk into his ear. “You’d better eat me like that chicken wing later.”
Wow. So I totally wasn't expecting to love this couple as much as I did, they were the perfect blend of sweet and salty. Nate's so freaking amazing and was so sunshine regardless of his abusive past. And Beth was so grumpy and sassy, she is scared of commitment. But in the bedroom boom 💥 they are so explosive and hott. Geeze. I loved the storyline having the perfect amount of hockey and love story. Gah. So good.
All the way is the second book in the Seattle Whalers series. If you love a good hockey romance, Emily Bunney is your author.
Beth is an up and coming make up artist, who also has major commitment issues. She wants excitement and a relationship will just hold her back.
Nate comes from a strict household and his childhood was not so great. He just wants to love and be loved. What’s a guy to do when the girl he falls for is afraid of commitment?
I loved Nate and Beth. They fit together perfectly and their emotions jumped off the page.
I read All the Way because I thoroughly enjoyed All or Nothing, the first in this series, despite it being a little crude for me.
All the Way is good; I enjoyed the story (although again, I thought it was a little crude but I knew what I was getting into this time around!) but IMHO it wasn't as good as All or Nothing. What I liked about All or Nothing was that the story was really well developed, the characters were real people who interacted with more than just each other. In comparison, All the Way is very much focused on the two leads and as a consequence there are no real sub plots, which is a shame. I was keen to read All the Way because the story started as a sub plot in All or Nothing and I wanted to see where it went. This book failed to set up the next.
That said, the author has tackled a serious issue really nicely. And I did while a way a couple of enjoyable afternoons with Beth and Nate so if you're into explicit hockey romance, I can guarantee you'll love this.
A must read and fantastic addition to the Seattle Whalers series.
If you love super steamy and emotional hockey romances, this book is for you.
I read this book in one setting, one minute laughing, one minute crying, and one minute holding my breath when uncomfortable truths were revealed. Beth and Nate are complex characters who have to fight for their happy ending but the journey is fast paced and worth every second. I sure cheered them on the entire time. Emily writes hot sex scenes, fantastic hockey, and her writing flowed from scene to scene. I can't wait for more Seattle Whalers hockey.
⚠️𝕋ℝ𝕀𝔾𝔾𝔼ℝ 𝕎𝔸ℝℕ𝕀ℕ𝔾 ⚠️ This book deals with domestic abuse and violence, anxiety, death and grief. As with all the Whalers books, there’s plenty of fun, sexy times and banter, but please be aware if these issues are triggers for you, proceed with caution.
Beth has commitment issues and Nate’s past with his family plagues his future. This is a darker read as we see what shaped who Nate is now and see more of Beth’s family life.
They begin to date and things seem to be going well...until they aren’t. There’s hot sex scenes, fantastic hockey games, and I cheered for Beth and Nate the entire time. I definitely wanted to hit him when he was an idiot, misunderstood things to make things “easier” for Beth that just hurt her instead. Communication was hard for the big lug, but you find out why during the story.
There is a HEA, and this is part of series. They are stand-alones technically but to get the best experience, you should read them in order.
I dont usually love the 2nd book in a series more than the first, but thats exactly what happened!! What a great follow up!! The story sets up from the ending of the first, but you dont have to have read the first to follow along, however i highly recommend it as both books are great!! I loved that the H in this story wasn't your usual playboy, but still surprised with how much fire he brought!! The drama this go around was much more about the h and how she coped with her feelings & thats my kind of book!! loved this read and cant wait for Emily's next one!! Quickly becoming one of my favorite authors!
This group is so much fun and if you read Book 1, you have an inkling of just what kind of romp you are in for with Nate and Beth! They do not disappoint! Lots of sexy fun in the bedroom and one fantastic scene at O’Connell’s that had me laughing out loud!
But at the heart of this story is Nate’s heart. It is huge and he is such a sweetie! I loved being along for the ride as he transformed from a boy to a man through this story!
Such an amazing read with deep insights into domestic abuse. From the off I fell into the world of Beth and Nate and didn’t want to leave it. I was submerged in their plot line, praying that the commitmentphobe and the hot hockey player would have their happily ever after. I loved the friendships in the book that balanced out the themes. Mila and Matt especially made my heart burst. I cried, I laughed and I hurt during every page. A beautiful novel and I can’t wait for the rest of the series.
The second book in the series brings Beth and Nate's story. The author brings strong characters with a hot chemistry ,adds in a bit of drama with their insecurities and delivers a fantastic story. Loved it !!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Omg I love Nate 💕, Emily has written a absolutely fantastic book my emotions are shot how can a big strong guy show so much love. I love how we are still reading about Matt and Mila and also see there rest of the team. Definitely a must read 5 huge ⭐️ moving onto Bugs and cam story 💕💕💕💕
Thank you to Emily Bunney for allowing me to read a copy of this book. I loved Beth and Nate's story, and I loved how the family dynamic played such a big part within the story overall. And towards the end of the story, what happened had me heartbroken. But the narrator for the audiobook is hilarious whenever he portrays the characters singing, so it made me burst out laughing. I also loved the segway into All Night Long and All She Needs, and it's interesting to see Cam and Buggs' story.
All the way is the second book in the Seattle Whalers series . If you love a great hockey romance , then this is just the book for you . I devoured this book in one sitting . Beth and Nate are such relatable characters as well as very well developed. I was sucked into their story from the very start .. Beth has a lot of issues with commitment, and Nates issues with his family overshadows any decisions he makes in his future . This is definitely a darker read as we get a look into Nates past and many truths are revealed- especially what shapes Nate into the Person he is now / and more background into Beths family life . As they begin seeing one another, things seem to be going pretty smoothly, then before you know it , everything goes downhill . My emotions were all over the place . One minute I was cheering them on , then the next I literally wanted to reach through the pages and whack Nate , especially when he was acting like a complete jerk .there were many misunderstandings, that ended up hurting Beth as communication was definitely a struggle for Nate . This really was a wonderful read . It’s filled with lots of steam and chemistry, as well as fast paced hockey games , plenty of sexy times . This is part of a series , that could be read as a stand alone . But I would absolutely start with the first book .
Wow. Emily, you did it again! I really loved the first book and I wasn’t sure if, reading Nate and Beth’s story, I’d have had the same connection as the one I had with Mila and Matt but I was SOOOOO wrong! This story is beautiful, delicate, hot, difficult and comforting. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions: it makes you laugh, it make you sad, it makes you angry, it makes you believe in changes and it makes you fall in love with this fantastic couple and their journey to Love. Beth is really funny, I’d love having her as one of my best friends, and I definitely love when heroines are independent, strong and self confident as Beth is. She is a very good model for all the girls out there. Nate is …well, Nate. I’m sure everyone will love him immediately. He has scars, sometimes his soul still bleeds, but he has a pure and big heart that makes him so unique and different from all the other heroes. He believes in romance but he’s also a big caveman when it comes to his woman. He’s fire and passion but he’s also delicate and patient. He’s ready to do whatever it takes to show Beth what they really have and win her heart. I love him, period. Nate is also the demonstration that male characters don’t have to be always menwhore to be great heroes in a book. There are a lot of men that love and live as Nate does, so kudos to the author because she didn’t bring unnecessary drama to this already perfect and intense story. She also did a great job in describing vey well their backgrounds and their main fears and the connection with these two is immediate. The plot is developed magnifically and, even though this story deals with domestic abuse, the style of the author makes these scenes not excessively difficult to face. The party at end of the story is one of my favorite parts and the thing Nate does to make Beth crumbles, once and for all, is fantastic! I really liked finding again all the Whalers hockey players, they are like a family, so it’s nice seeing them all together and follow their stories too, and now I can’t wait for the third book to go live!!! I highly recommend to read this sport romance book! I received an ARC from the author for an honest review.
** I received an ARC of All The Way by Emily Bunney in exchange for an honest review
Nate and Beth. What can I say? I love them both.
Beth doesn't want the relationship her parents have; in her mind, they lead a very boring life. She wants excitement and adventure. So she's sworn off relationships.
Until Nate.
Nate is seeking romance and love. Growing up in a fairly loveless home, Nate is desperate to find what's been missing from his life. He's got his hockey career, he's got friends, now all he wants is to find the one.
And after a steamy sexy night with Beth, he wants her. So after a few more hookups, they come up with an arrangement. Nate gets to date her and prove to her that she can still have excitement and adventure in a romantic relationship. If he fails, he'll leave her alone.
I fucking loved this second installment in Emily Bunneys Seattle Whalers series. I laughed, I cried, I swooned. Everything was perfect... until it wasn't. (as all stories go 😉😅).
A wonderful HEA romance novel. If you haven't read this series, but you love hockey and romance, especially the two together, this is an amazing series to read. Book 3 will be out just in time for my birthday in September, and I can't wait to get my hands on it! 🥰🥰😍
So, I'm pretty sure Beth and Nate have completely stolen my heart in this!
I was so excited when this arc came through as I honestly couldn't wait to get back into the Seattle Whalers world! And of course, after the first book I was dying to know what would happen between Beth and Nate! There's just so much in this book - trauma, drama, super hot sex scenes and two characters that I could really connect with.
Beth has got to be one of my favourite female main characters. She's strong yet vulnverable, takes no shit and she is completely confident with her sexuality. Nate is just adorable, he's only had one proper relationship and isn't as experienced sexually as Beth. Which is also another thing that I loved, that Beth was the one who had more experience as usually it's the other way around in romance books.
This a super hot, fun, intense at times (this book does have some sensitive topics within) read. It will definitely leave you wanting more, and I can't wait to see what Emily has install for us next!
He was abused by his father and constantly made to believe he could only concentrate on hockey, everything else was a distraction. She is emotionally unavailable and fears the monotony of a serious relationship. When they give it a go it’s amazing, but what happens when their pasts come back to bite them?
OMG! I was totally expecting something different to happen and I love the twist! Nate is the guy everyone wants! The M&M’s and tampon delivery is hysterical! And who doesn’t love singing karaoke? Beth is so relatable! I absolutely adore her! But as Andre says, “No one is perfect.” Boy, do they prove that right! This is such a great story! Nate and Beth are completely perfect for each other, they just need to get out of their own ways and leave the past where it belongs.
Another great read in the Seattle Whalers Series! I love these books and their steamy sex scenes! You should definitely read it!
All the Way is the second book in the Seattle Whalers Hockey series and it is also the first book by Emily Bunney that I have read.
So I honestly found myself clashing with Beth a lot because some of the things she did really annoyed me. There were several times where she treated Nate horribly and it didn’t sit well with me especially because he was so kind. I absolutely loved Nate because he is kind, funny and pure hearted. My heart broke for him and everything that he has been through.
Oh my god this book has some of the hottest and most panty drenching sex scenes that I have come across. These scenes are so well written it actually made me feel like I was literally in the room watching Nate and Beth go at it. Although Beth and I don’t get along I do find myself loving their relationship.
This was a fantastic book and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
I recieved an advanced copy for free, and this is my honest opinion.
This sweet romance has a slow burn but well worth the wait.
Beth has put walls up around her heart and will not let them down for anyone. Her roommate is dating one of the Whalers' hockey players and his bestfriend, Nate has it bad for Beth. She thinks he's hot but doesn't want a relationship.
Nate is a few years younger then Beth but he doesn't care. He and Beth had a one night stand before and he wants more but knows it's a loosing battle. He has had a crappy life growing up and tries to forget about it, but it doesn't always work.
Will his perseverance payoff? Well they make a deal and that is when the lines get blurry between being an agreement and a relationship. Does Nate break down her walls?
I loved the relationship between Beth and Nate. You could feel the need they had for one another. Yes they had heartbreak but who doesn't. Emily threw a couple if twists in just to pull on your heartstrings. A fantastic book to add to your TBR list.
Beth is a bit of a commitmentphobe - she’s all about fun times and never going beyond the one night kind of relationship. Nate is the exact opposite - despite being a famous hockey player, he’s a huge romantic at heart. When Nate and Beth first meet, the attraction is instantaneous. But Nate must convince Beth that what they have is worth more than one night, and Beth has a lot of reservations. Will Nate win her heart? Find out in this second book in Emily Bunney’s Seattle Whalers series!
I really enjoyed Nate and Beth’s story! This book was fun and sexy, but it had emotional moments as well. I loved seeing everything Nate did to break down Beth’s walls. While he does have a bit of an alpha streak, it doesn’t make him a jerk. And Beth! I loved how confident she was. All in all, this was a great read!
With the second book in the Seattle Whaler’s stories we dive into some darker content and figure how two people who grew up with completely different lives come together to find a relentless love that can conquer anything. Or will it?
Bunney writes another amazing story with delightful characters, steam, and light hearted fun with a dash of heartbreak to keep things interesting.
I devoured this book and couldn't stop reading it, It was such a page turner and i found myself wanting, no, needing more with each page turn
If you are into sexy hockey players, who have a bit of baggage and a sexy blonde makeup artist with commitment issues then snatch this book up ….. Like yesterday
She’s done it again. Emily sucked me into the Seattle Whalers world once again. Nate and Beth’s story was (excuse the baseball pun) a ‘Hit out of the Park’ or if we’re gonna stick with Hockey... a total Hat Trick! Laughs, the Spunk, and the perfect amount of heat and romance between the two.
Right from the beginning I knew I’d love whatever she did with Beth and Nate, because the bits we saw of them in All or Nothing.
Nate has to deal with so many emotional things, such as an emotionally abusive father, where as Beth is emotionally closed off, from being hurt. How Emily Bunney makes these two work is amazing, and I love her even more for it! I can’t wait until the next book comes out!
I am an avid reader, and I selected this book to read because I love sports romance novels. I got more than I bargained for with this one! It delves into the different ways each partner in a relationship is raised differently, and how you have to overcome these differences to make a relationship work. It deals with abuse, and overcoming that. It is all masterfully woven together to tell a beautiful tale. It was difficult to put this book down! I have not read Book 1, this is my first time reading this author’s work. I love how the characters are well developed, and the plot is engaging. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was really looking forward to Nate and Beth's story. Emily Bunney did not disappoint!
We got glimpses of their complicated relationship in the first book in the Seattle Whalers series, and I liked getting to get their POV here. They were interesting characters with commitment issues and a past that make a relationship difficult. I especially felt for Nate and his experiences and how it affected his life now.
Nate and Beth had a lot of chemistry and it was easy to tell how strong their connection was. I thought their story was a nice mix of romance, humor, and drama. It can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading book one first to get the full experience.
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.
Once again I’m crazy in love with Nate and Beth, aside from Mila and Matt, Nate and Beths relationship is one that’s all to close. Nates issues with his father fester inside that he’s not even sure if it’s him or something else. So much death beginning with his little brother then his mom . Broke my heart. Beth is hell bent on never letting anyone in so her heart will never have to know love or heartbreak is. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. Little do they know that love is what will unite them. The team is a brotherhood that will get them on track.

OMG Nate and Beth were everything. This is a brilliant follow up / second instalment of the Seattle Whalers series - we saw a bit of the heat between them in the first book (and the mini novella which came out just before this) but this book is hella hot. Both of them have massive insecurities, Nate is also a bit younger than Beth, but they both grow as individuals and as a couple in a wonderful and organic way. Not going to ruin the ending but it's an HEA you'll need tissues for. There's tonnes of steam, if that's what you're after, but I also loved the support cast - Hello Andre 🔥🔥🔥🔥 (Holllywooooddd). Definitely recommend this one! Can't wait for Cam and Bugs.
Arc kindly received by author😍 Claire.reads.romance. *Never any spoilers*
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Star Read 💙All the Way💙 by Emily Bunney is the second book in the Seattle Whaler Hockey Series. and let me tell you, it’s a sweet but steamy, sexy, emotional rollercoaster follow up to All or Nothing. This book is just as good as the first. Beth and Nate are so hot they set this book on 🔥. Beth knows exactly what she wants and Nate is all to happy to give it to her. Emily does it again! Loved it. 💙Fall in love with Nate today 😍
Love Nate and Beth's story. If you read the first book you get a glimpse of these two and how their relationship started. Beth is against relationships and only does hookups, Nate wants more and convinces Beth to give him a couple dates to convince her relationships aren't boring. Nate is a hot swoon worthy hockey player but aggravating sometimes. Beth is a fiesty, sassy woman. This was a beautiful, hot, emotional story. Look forward to Cam's story next.
