When I got this book , I had no idea who Phil Cresta was. After reading it ,I feel like I met the guy . Maybe even tagged along during his misadventures. The author really brings Phil Cresta to you and introduces you personally . I am very impressed with Mr Wallace's style !

If I were a career criminal and I knew I was going to die in jail, I'd write a book too. My favorite story: this guy used a hacksaw to steal a parking meter, and then had a criminal buddy make a master key for all the parking meters in Boston. He then stole a parking attendant uniform and proceeded to empty all the parking meters in Boston for about three years. Wow.

Great read!

Fascinating account of an unknown (at least to me) thief. One of the best true crime books I have read.
