This was my first time reading this author's work. It was a decent story. Drama that the mains were facing didn't seem to be as important to the storyline, for as brief as they seemed to affect the characters. The quickness the issues appeared to be resolved also lended to the feeling of they were there to just be added. The skips in time sometimes weren't as clear as other books I have read, but overall this book was a cute little story.

A real page turner, this story will constantly keep you in reflection mode. A reflection on the life choices you have with the decisions you make either for yourself or for someone else will determine your real happiness. Carter Wright is faced with these challenges; trapped between doing what’s right for him or what’s right for his family, mainly his father. As the CEO of a very opulent and luxurious hotel chain called Viviant Grand Hôtel, which he was forced to manage by his very controlling, demanding and self absorbed father has Carter facing another challenge. An ultimatum is again set by his father where he needs to follow in his brother’s footsteps; needs to marry and have a family in order to inherit the empire. Megan a wedding planner, who chose the Viviant Grand Hotel for her venue is the perfect answer to the equation Carter is faced with. What he doesn’t know is that Megan will change his life in ways he never saw coming. Feisty, strong and determined Megan will settle for nothing but real love ❤️ and through her, Carter will discover what’s really important to him and what’s hidden in his heart. Amazingly written, this author is gifted in portraying emotions, drawing you in and compelling you to turn every page. A 5 stars ⭐️ and more reading!

The second Megan and Carter re-meet, the tension is palpable, even if Carter has her confused with her sister. The tension and heat in this book kept me wanting to read more, and when these two finally allowed themselves to give in? Fireworks.

Hart is capable of creating a world to get lost in so quickly. Like her other books, this was a fairly quick read, but you become engulfed in the story nonetheless. I do have to admit I struggled a bit with liking both of the leads. Carter just came off as a cold jerk, while Megan could’ve ended the mixup of her identity, much quicker than she did, but in the end, I enjoyed their story immensely, and once Carter let down his walls, the cinnamon roll came out full force! Can’t wait to see what Gwynne creates next!.

Love Story

Megan is mistaken to be her sister, Melissa, by Melissa's former boyfriend, Carter. After they agreed to a fake engagement which will benefit both, the lie is discovered. They continue with the arrangement and eventually learn to care for each other.
Megan is a believable character, and her growth is realistic. Carter's not as believable - he is an unfeeling, self-centered character for the first half of the book, and then he does a complete 180° personality turn. The medical prognosis for his father is also not realistic. In spite of these flaws, I still enjoyed the book and was happy for the ending.

I was immersed into this story involving Megan (when being mistaken for her older sister) by an older handsome man with charismatic features.
The root to this story is Carter, a man burdened by expectations. I loved how the author weaves these two characters together. What started as a fake engagement changes into lines that are blurred.
Threats and unexpected twists are revealed.
This is an intriguing flowing story, imaginative characters and an HEA.
What more could could one want...and a cover to melt over.

I absolutely LOVED everything about this book Gwynne wrote. The characters, the romance, the suspense on what was going to happen next between Megan even though Carter is mistaking her for her older sister Melissa. This book will have you turning the pages and trying to anticipate what might happen next. This is a must-read book for 2024. I can see it getting great reviews, because I rate it a 10/10 star read myself.

Carter has planned to marry Megan to get his inheritance but soon come to see that it's not what's important. Megan is in a dilemma. Someone is threatening her business, and she soon comes to realise that her and Carter need to deal with it together.. such a sweet story about love and family with a growing need will the pair finally become one. Lack of excitement

This story had potential to be five star but just not enough. I kept reading hoping that things would turn around, some real excitement, mysteries, other involved characters than 1 sister. Even the events with his father were lack lustre. After 50% I knew it wasn’t going to get any better so I was not fully engaged with the rest of the story.

Was good I recommend this one!

Really a different story and excellent writing.

She's thought to be her sister and he's the CEO of a exclusive hotel company. There are alot of negatively effects in the story that they have to overcome. Their journey is a goof read read.

Liked this book a lot. The female lead was a strong character even when she had her own doubts, good elements of mystery with romance. I received an ARC and glad I did!

Enjoyed the plot but the characters dialogue just felt a bit forced. No spoilers moving on to another of Ms Hart 's books .

When Carter and Megan reconnect, he thinks that she is her sister. Megan doesn't correct him on his mistake. Megan has liked Cater for a while now and when she didn't take the chance to fix his mistake it just got even more complicated. Carter asks her to pretend to be his fiancé and soon things heat up between them. What will happen when he learns the truth? Can they find their way back to each other?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Fun story! The drama, miscommunication on identity, and the need to succeed. Two people who are at odds with each other, and only together due to circumstances. Can there be a HEA? Loved this story ❤️.
