Even though this is a for-reference field guide, I read and re-read it countless times, and still end up being amazed. This book has been a great catalyst and tool in recognizing the sheer abundance and diversity of life around me. Trees have to be the most underappreciated entities ever. Luckily, Delhi and Jaipur share similar floral basket and this book has allowed me to understand the native trees around me, so much so that I have started a micro-nursery at home of native trees of Aravalli, and I have never been more proud of anything else!

This is not a book you really ever finish, but each time you see, read or hear about an interesting tree, quickly flip through and explore. The photos and writings make it a delight to have and to hold. The way I look at trees has changed after I got this book.

Comprehensive and amazing field guide to know the city’s trees. This book is your best friend while roaming around the city and helps you to connect with the nature. No sooner you start reading this than you’ll whisper to the trees!

A book that has made me look up instead of otherwise as I walk down the streets of my city. The streets will not remain the same once you've used this book. It brings a shoddy place to life.

Though a book about trees in Delhi, very useful for any city with the same or similar conditions. Very well organized, and very minutely detailed. You are bound to be able to identify a tree, if it is also in the book...And the more you work at the trees using this guide, the better you get at identifying them with its help.

Both novices and botanists will *enjoy* using this book--cause that's what it is, fun! It is beautifully written, and the images are very clear and sensible!

A very well written and organised book. A must for anybody interested in know about the trees in our everyday life. A book that could get any layman interested in trees
It covers trees generally found in India the advantage to the Delhi reader is that locations are given for all of the trees

Lovely book with nice pictures.what I find useful also is location of trees in different parts of city.

It would have been more useful if it gave the different trees in specific, important locations

This is AMAZING. Significantly less relevant if outside of Delhi, but one of the coolest field guides ever -- literally tells where in the city you can find the tree you're looking for. If only this existed for NYC!
