Wedding dress designer and boutique owner Bianca Bradshaw always plays by the rules—until Sergei. The Russian behemoth broke down the walls guarding her heart as easily as he kicked down her front door. After a wild, passionate love affair that's the talk of Houston's underworld leaves them facing an unplanned but very much wanted pregnancy, Bianca can't imagine a single day without Sergei in her life—and in her bed.

Freed from the clutches of the Russian mob by her tenacious love, former enforcer and prize fighter Sergei Sakharov intends to give Bianca exactly what she wants. He's going to make that luscious, curvy beauty his wife and spend the rest of his life making her happy.

Or, at least, that's the plan.

But Sergei quickly learns that no one ever really gets out of the life. When unfinished business threatens the family he's trying to build with the woman who forever holds his heart, he'll have to make a hard choice. To protect his pregnant wife, there is no line Sergei won't cross.

When I’m not chasing after my wild preschooler, I like to write super sexy romances and scorching hot erotica. I live in Texas with a husband who could easily snag a job as an extra on History Channel’s new Viking series, a sweet but rowdy three-year-old with Tetralogy of Fallot, and Bosley, our Great Dane with major mommy issues.

I also have another dirty-book writing alter ego, Lolita Lopez, who writes deliciously steamy tales for Ellora’s Cave, Forever Yours/Grand Central, Mischief/Harper Collins UK, Siren Publishing and Cleis Press.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! Short and sweet. Wish it were longer, but it was still long enough to get a good dose of Sergei and Bianca. :sighs: Love and life, in their world, is so hard.

Thanks for the peek back into their lives.

I’ve no idea why I skipped this book the first time round. I read the original books when they first came out but for some reason I didn’t get round to this one.

It was longer than I expected since it was book 5.5 but yet it felt rushed at times.

It was a nice catch-up but nothing special. Bianca annoyed me at times but I do love all these characters.

Another great addition by RR. I loved seeing more of Sergei and Bianca and their love. Not too sure as to the whole thing about Bianca and Galina but it probably is a generation thing. I'm also not entirely sure why we got a second book but I'm pretty sure it will come out in Nikolai Vol 2 otherwise I will be really irritated.

If it couldn't get any better.... Question Sergei, who's the your boss now?

Now that's love to buy your man from the mob. However, it's heartbreaking to know that he will never truly be able toleave.

Twins... Though, Sergei was not part of the orphanage. He too has a shit past that will deliver powerful emotions of fatherhood.

Loving this series!

I was happy to see Sergei and Bianca's story continue as I didn't enjoy the first installment as much as the other books in this series. While we definitely get a love "fix" this story is short and felt rushed to me, almost like it was filler or meant to introduce issues the other couples will address in forthcoming novels (perhaps that's why it's numbered 5.5?). For diehard fans of the series, you will probably enjoy this book. Had this been the first book in the series, it would have been the last book for me.

Sergei and Bianca's story continues not long after Sergei (Her Russian Protector, #5) by Roxie Rivera . This isn't a standalone, and kind of an extended epilogue. We meet more of Sergei's family from Russia, and the reactions are racially realistic without being over the top. I'm not usually a big fan of shorter books, but this easily satisfied.

I love this series! Really enjoyed seeing more of Bianca and Sergei's relationship but am desperate for Nikolai and Vivian's sequel. I also can't wait for Kostya's book. Hopefully Ten will get his own book. *fingers crossed*

It was great to follow up and find out what happens however the story seemed a bit rushed. The issue with the in law, the prison it could have been developed more. Still a huge fan and looking forward to the next release in this series.

3.5+ RATING- As a fan of this series, I'm sorry I put off reading this book for so long. At some point I read an excerpt and I mistakenly thought the entire book was going to be about Bianca and Sergei's mom not getting along. I was so happy that wasn't the case and the friction between those two was just a minor part of the story. I loved Bianca and Sergei in the first book and was happy to catch up with them. I'm not sure if Sergei's brother is going to get a story but he defintely should. While he doesn't play a major role in this book, the fact that he looks a lot like the sexy Sergei, is enough to make me want more =)

Overall it seems that Sergei Volume 2 was setting up future story line for the major players in Her Russian Protector series. There's a lot happening behind the scenes that is alluded to but never openly discussed. I'm guessing the reader learns much more about what's going on when reading Nikolia 2 (book #6). I'm looking forward to reading that this week and getting to the bottom of all of this!

Just like all the Her Russian Protector books, this one wasn't perfect, but rates high in readability!

*Cries* I love Sergei and Bianca!!

I'm so happy that things are working out for them and their family. Everything wasn't completely resolved but it was all working out beautifully.

This takes place right before, during, and after the London art showing for Vivian at the end of Sergei. Everything is not all peachy especially when Bianca meets Sergei's family and issues arise from his past. We meet some new characters while revisiting old friends.

TMI SN: Rivera made pregnancy sex sound hot. Just sayin

I can not wait to see what Rivera has in store for our favourite Russians. ^_^

Very sweet follow up to Sergei. It has a story to it, not just a couple of vapid scenes. But I think this is an awesome couple and I loved their commitment, no matter the obstacles. It is a must read for anyone reading the series!

"Voglio farla sorridere ogni giorno.

Be!

Sergei Volume 2...Hold on to your seat belts because you are in for an amazing ride!!!!!

Just when you believe that you couldn't love Sergei more, well in his second story you will fall more in love with him. Sergei isn't a man who was born into the mob, what bought him into that life is the thirst for vengeance for his brother, wife and his nieces whom were murdered. By selling himself to the Russian Mob he was able to get his revenge but it came with a high price. A price so high that he believed he would be indebted to the mob forever but along came a young woman by the name of Bianca whom Sergei laid eyes on and was instantly smitten. It took Bianca a little more time to get the memo but once she did, then it was on for the both of them. In book 1 we find the both of them navigating the newness and the pitfalls of embarking on a relationship together and in book 2 we see their love severely tested with trials by fire.

Sergei believes love is love, there are no colors bounds and Bianca feels the same way. But Sergei's mother is from Old Russia, she hasn't been to the states so the idea of couplings intermingling outside of their race is not only foreign but forbidden, needless to say those two didn't exactly hit it off at first is putting it mildly. For Sergei, Bianca is it for him and either his mother gets on board with it or she won't have a real relationship with him anymore. Now that is the kind of man my fellow ladies that you would definitely want (you definitely don't want a momma's boy). Bianca didn't have anything to fear because Sergei had her back, front and both sides so she was straight. Alpha to the max is Sergei and in this story Bianca's unexpected pregnancy is explored further which I really enjoyed. We got to see them working it out as her pregnancy progresses, we get to see real interaction between these two and the argument they had was so epic that you felt as if you were there.

As with personal growing and moments between Bianca and Sergei, there is a danger steadily brewing (If you have read "The Fighting Connolly's" trilogy, you will have read about the civil unrest brewing in the underworld and see that it is about to spill out onto the streets of Houston). We find Sergei is put to the test of just how far he will go for Bianca and his babies, you soon discover he is an extremely dangerous man, who will kill you without blinking. The unrest is starting to surface and the Russians are smack dab in the thick of if. Everyone will be pulled in and we will see these men come together and take down all who dare come against not only their brotherhood but their families. Their enemies will soon learn just how ruthless they really are.

The gang is all together again which will lovely to see, everyone was together for Vivian's London Art show except Dmitri and Benni who are new parents themselves so they couldn't make the trip, but we get to see them later on at Sergei's and Bianca's wedding. We are also introduced to Ten (he served 6 years for the family) and has been released back into the camp of Nikolai, interesting character and very ruthless and I am sure his story is being brewed as I write this review. Her Russian Mob Protector series is an amazing ride, I am loving every single minute of it. I am telling you once you read the first book (which is free) Ivan's story, you will not be able to stop reading about these Alpha men.

Well Until My Next Review Ciao Bellas!

This is the continuing story of Sergei and Bianca, which picks up right after the first book. Since I already liked Sergei and Bianca, I had no problem continuing along with them. They are in love. Deeply in love. But also facing a surprise pregnancy. Along with a new pregnancy, we also get to meet Sergei's family, which brings its own twists. And, of course, Sergei's debt may have been paid, but one is never truly out of the mob. There are still threats to Sergei and Bianca.

Though at times there was a lot going on, overall this was actually a more mellow book than the first one. I felt like I got to hang out with Sergei and Bianca more, seeing how they handle life and changes and planning for the future. I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow. I was excited along with them about their pregnancy. And when difficulties and terror arose, I felt the tension with them.

Overall, this was a special treat, seeing Sergei and Bianca's continuing love story. I loved the twists with the pregnancy. As usual, I loved Sergei. And as usual, I loved seeing the other couples and characters, even the new ones.

great second instalment in Sergei's and Bianca's story, New characters introduced the shady, brooding Ten and new guy Boy and Sergei's brother Vova, loved Bianca's feisty mum Mona. but for me it's Sergei who'sthe best, he's so loving, kind, protective of Bianca, not too full on but enough to show how he feels. A few surprises and the continuing Russian underworld theme ran through, looks like it's still kicking off and doesn't look like to be letting up anytime soon as Nikolai's and Vivis second instalment is up next I guess it's going to be an intense one, so I'm going to dive straight in.

So I had to take a break when reading this one because I started having a miscarriage, and I just couldn't read about Bianca and Sergei having babies.

I love Sergei. Bianca doesn't annoy me. Still. So all in all... love it. Loved to see their story continue.

I felt the climax got a little rushed.

And that the author has no real idea what A&E (not called an ER/Emergency Room) is like in London. But even with that. I enjoyed it.

It's been nearly 2 weeks since I read this, so sadly I cannot give a better review.

NICE AND SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first book was good. I enjoy it. now this book was nice and sweet. The story line held my interest but I wish for more drama. But I understand it is short story. The best part in the book. When I found out......spoiler alert... The sex scenes were good and felt the love between the characters. I am off to read Nic and Viv story. Get Ms. Rivera RUSSIAN PROTECTOR SERIES!!!!!!

For fans of the series, such as myself, this a short but heartfelt look back into the lives of Sergei and Bianca, the first out of the mob - sort of - and the last now knocked up. There are weddings to plan, mothers and mothers-in-law, and of course, old gangsters calling in favors. And, an awesome sweet love story. Not a stand alone.

Rushing Bianca's and Sergei's Story

After reading Sergei, I was left wondering what happened to Sergei's and Bianca's relationship. As in book 1, plot and character development was thin. Yes, questions were answered, but I realized that they should have covered in the first book.

This was even shorter than the first book and should have been combined to make one complete novel. It wasn't necessary to read this book to know what happened with Bianca and Sergio. The author missed so much in terms of character development. There was never a reason to expect Sergio's mother to dislike Bianca other than her skin color. Even though his mother knew about the pregnancy, she didn't approve of Bianca until the pregnancy was put in jeopardy. Talk about a complete 360° turn around. As there was no reason for her dislike, her change of mind made no sense. The author missed a chance to fully develop this subplot. Sergio's brother was as accepting of Bianca as Sergio was. How could a woman like their mother raise two nonjumental men? It makes no sense. Again, the author missed an opportunity to deal with prejudices.

This book was a mishmash of what happened in the lives of the other characters with no real history or explanations. The sex wasn't as erotic. It's a shame that more details were missing which left me feeling that I just wasted a couple of hours of my time and money. I won't be reading book 2 of any of the other characters. I was correct in not continuing to read this series.

The book was rushed. It appears to be a set up for for future books. Save your time and money.

I enjoyed this book. It was a shorter read but had all the elements of the other books in the series. Love, loyalty, romance, danger, suspense, and a good amount of heat.

I liked how Sergei loved Bianca. He was nothing but supportive. I did keep having the feeling that Bianca was subtly trying to change Sergei. She knew who the man was when she got involved with him.

I even understood her mom being upset by what happened, but to be mad at Sergei made no sense. Bianca's mother was also well aware of Sergei's background. I kept thinking that if Bianca's mother had not been insistent about making that move, and if Bianca had listened to Sergei, the other things would not have happened.

An entertaining read that can be completed in one sitting.
