Widowed Joy Atkins has moved from Texas to Charleston, South Carolina to be near her daughter and granddaughter. She has a job as manager of the gift shop at the Mercy Hospital where a famous statue, a guardian angel for the hospital, disappears one night. To help the police locate the missing statue, Joy and her friends decide to aid in the investigation. A very light story.

Shirley, Joy, Anne, and Evelyn are quickly becoming friends at Mercy Hospital. When the guardian angel statue is stolen, the ladies put their heads together to figure out who took it and why. The day after it appears, a woman shows up who looks like the guardian angel. A good mystery with strong and quirky characters and a happy ending.

I have read this book before,but not with this title. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
