I found it to be complete in composition. It was balanced mechanically between dialogue, descriptive and narration. The author uses her narration as a way to enhance the other elements of her style and not as a seperate entity.
Character development continued quite seamlessly and while I almost expected at some point I knew what was going to be a chapter down the road I was often surprised in which the direction the author took it.
Well done, as always. I would look forward to more books in this series.
Murder, political corruption, betrayal, a search for redemption...this book has it all. Aequitas had me from the very first page and I couldn't put it down. I like how Ainsley Reid is the main protagonist in this follow up to Vox. The political conspiracy from Vox continues and is explored more deeply. Ainsley's own fall from grace adds a surprising emotional undercurrent to the story. I can't wait for book 3 of The Monstrum Chronicles!
