Chris is a guy who can't seem to get out of the hood. His companion,Misty, has his back when times get hard as they often are when your occupation isn't on the straight and narrow. He loses a lot of people close to him which makes him cold and sometimes careless. In and out of the jail system, he vows to get out of the game but each time he tries he is sucked back in because of the consequences of his prior actions.

This was the first book I have read from this author. It was a pretty good storyline. I enjoyed the undying love between Chris and Misty as well as Chris's drive to take care of home. It was well written and I will be waiting for more from this author.

Chris was a "bad white boy" who was about his business. He was very loyal to his boys. I somehow feel like I could envision his and Country's childhood. I must say he loved his family and was willing to die to get his family back. This book had a lot of drama. I would love a sequel I was not disappointed. I have always heard once you in the game, there's no way out except jail or death.
