Join Bluey on an adventure in her first fiction novel! As the Heelers play a game of Trains, what could possibly go wrong? Everything!
A gorgeous illustrated chapter book for 6+ readers.
Bluey is an award-winning preschool show about Bluey, a blue heeler pup, and her family. Airing on ABC KIDS, the show has amassed legions of dedicated fans and hugely popular ranges of books, toys, clothes, games and more.
Bluey is a 6 year old Blue Heeler pup who loves to play. Her parents and teacher give her lots of time to practice, which means she’s become very good at inventing games, helping everyone choose their roles and deciding on the rules. Her favourite games are ones that involve lots of other kids and grown-ups (especially her dad) and she mainly likes to pretend she’s a grown up doing grownup things herself.
Bluey is an Australian children's television program by the Emmy award-winning Ludo Studio for ABC KIDS and is co-commissioned by ABC Children's and BBC Studios.

Watch the Heeler family's games come to life in this new chapter book series.
Join Bluey and her family in a game of Trains (adapted from the Season 2 episode "Trains"). Dr. Glenda (Bingo) takes the train everyday to drop off her daughter at day care and go to her vet practice. But when a very annoying passenger on the train causes all sorts of mischief, her normal routine takes a disastrous turn.
A silly little story with plenty of humor. Children are sure to enjoy the Heeler's shenanigans. Also has some great moments adults will appreciate, like Dr. Glenda getting herself and her daughter ready for the day in only twenty minutes.
Cute illustrations which pair well with the text. Features a brief appearance from fan favorites, Rita and Marge.
Personally, though the story is just the family playing, I wasn't a fan of the animals getting eaten by the polar bear. This played better on screen where it's very clear they're all toys. The play becoming real in the book series made the scene a bit off-putting.
Also, the book is based on the original episode, so American viewers who have watched the Disney+ version may encounter some unexpected details. This version includes the original line of Bluey's ticket being a "piece of poo" instead of the Disney version where the ticket is a slug.
A humorous read overall, nicely narrated. I love the idea of expanding Bluey's adventures into a chapter book format.
A short silly funny story about using trains and mishaps. Favourite quote: "It had never occurred to her how much could go wrong if the train ran late. She swore to herself that from now on she would always be thankful for prompt and efficient public transport."
