Divorced, with four children, and having to start again with my career – life at almost 40 was nothing like I'd planned.
When my ex-wife leaves our children with me for the summer, it's clear I'm in over my head. It isn't long until daycare worker Oz has me pulling up my socks and seeing what's important.
Oz
The Westlake family need a little more fun and love in their lives. Not my family to fix, that's what I tell myself. But…but what if I want it to be?What does it matter that Lucien Westlake is thirteen years older than me?
Or that his ex-wife is a model and he's never looked at another guy before?
It's never too late to chase happiness.
Lucien is a bi-awakening, a second chance at life with an age gap, a hippie mother, adorable kids and a whole host of first times as our grumpy MC learns to open up to the sunshine that is Oz Holmes.
This is my first book by Alice La Roux. Oz and Luc are fully realized characters and are great together. The kids were lovely, the growth they all showed was well paced and believable. I would like to have seen a bit more of the comeuppance for the Van Dorens but this was a great story. Highly recommended.
Ewww… that’s some screwed up parents there… Daphne and hers parents are just awful. How can you treat children like that? Your own children and great children? That’s straight abuse… poor kids
Another great Single Dads of Gaynor Beach story, Lucien's Ex-wife drops off the kids with him for the summer and Lucien is at a loss d=so he enrolls the twins in daycare where he meets Oz and his mum who run the Day Care Center and the oldest 2 are at school, Oz helps him out and slowly a relationship starts.I really enjoy this book.
