Alguien a quien quiero me oculta.
Nicole Fox writes smart, sexy mafia romance novels. She is a crazy cat lady in her late 30s with a coffee addiction, an overactive imagination, and a husband who somehow puts up with her impulsive need to keep buying new plants for their house.
This is the conclusion to Anton and Jessa’s story and things here finally come to a pivotal point with the identity of the individual stirring up so much unrest in the criminal underworld is finally unmasked and Yep I was right about everything I’d picked up from the prior book with all of my suspicions proved fact. Here Anton is frantically attempting to protect Jessa and there unborn child whilst an insane obsessed individual does there upmost to end there lives. Anton really comes into his own here stepping up for Jessa and his possessive protection and tender care was a surprise to all even himself.
We then have the best friend Chris going totally judgy and controlling there’s a fine line in friendship and he definitely crossed it. I couldn’t help thinking it was less about keeping Jessa safe and more sour grapes on his part. It felt like he was holding her too hostage and his friendship was the price totally not cool.
This had romance, some action and danger and a serious betrayal. Jessa and Anton's relationship evolves here to the next level. I did find that this was quite predictable and it was also incredibly obvious to me just who the villains were but I found myself not minding too much as I was also equally invested in the outcome. I definitely preferred this second book to the first one it had a slight edge for me. Overall this had equal positives and negatives and I enjoyed it despite it being a lot predictable.
So I voiced my suspicions in my review of the first book and alas…not surprisingly I was correct and now I’m pissed I wasted my time reading this crap. How is it rated 4.5 stars?!? These books were so bad I knew what was going to happen in the second book before I hit half way through the first🤦🏻♀️ Ridiculously PREDICTABLE….boring I could have skimmed most of this and just read the ending.
I predicted the ending in the first book and I was right. There were a few parts that must’ve been missed in editing where Jessa and anton have a repeat conversation from book one which really kinda disappointed me when I read it just because it had already been written. Cute ending the first book definitely was the best of the two!
“There’s no way Marina is going to know where I am.” “She knew where we were yesterday.” I shrug. “Coincidence.”
Jessa’s stupidity knew no bounds. She did so many stupid things with such gusto; I found it hard to root for her when her recklessness served no purpose outside of pushing the plot along.
I do think this is the best Nicole Fox duet I’ve read so far, which isn’t saying much, but it was also the most predictable. I fear Fox made it a little too obvious what was going on behind the scenes and left too many opportunities for us to see what was coming. I think she could have hidden it all a bit better, giving us all a much more impactful and shocking reveal at the very end.

Quickie review for the duet: I am not going to lie, the first book was just not doing it for me. It was so dang slow I almost wondered if I should even bother with the second one. It didn’t help that the “twists” were also predictable that I guessed the them well before they were revealed. I know not everyone reads the same book, and hope it turns out to be a great read for you. But for me, it just didn’t hit the spot. This definitely is not stopping me from reading Fox’s other books as I always loved them in the past. Just happens this is just one that wasn’t for me. 4 Stars because the idea as a whole, did in fact, keep me reading.
I knew freya was going to be a hoe and I could tell who the rat was gonna be for sure it was obvious. 2 stars bc I kinda guessed but also bc im tired of reading the words bratva, don, and boss🙄 lol
I have to confess that I did not know what I was getting into when I first read Satin Sinner. I did not realize it was a duet, and I had never read anything by Nicole Fox. That book floored me, and I LOVED it so much! Anton was on of the best anti-heroes that I've read in a long, long time. I was so engrossed in the story that I didn't even care that it was a duet with a cliffhanger. Needless to say, I could not WAIT to get my hands on the second book. Satin Princess did not let me down. After reading the first book I could not wait for more, more, more of Jessa and Anton. Nicole Fox knows how to write Bratva heroes like nobody's business. Anton is one cool customer, but her burns hotter than fire. I thought the writing was excellent and the pacing of the story was good. The suspense part of the storyline was believable, although I did figure out early on who the villain (and accomplice) was. The only thing that detracted from the story a little bit was Jessa. For me, I didn't like her as much in this book as the first one. Her constant wavering on her feelings got old, and I really didn't like that she pushed for her friendship with Chris, even putting herself in danger because of it. I felt like her priorities were a little skewed. Anton was amazing, though, and he made up for any of the annoyances I found in Jessa. I highly recommend these two books if you are a fan of mafia romance!.

“I wonder if she realizes what a masterpiece she is.”
Honestly this book was soo much better that the first one. This book continues right where book 1 stops. I said in the first book review that didn’t like Anton in the first half of it but in this one he’s my favorite and i love him.
I love how attentive and caring he was to Jessa. In this book you watch him struggle with coming to accept his feeling for her and it was soo wholesome to see how much he loves her. And Jessa this woman has my freaking heart i liked her in the first book and i liked even more in this one.
As for the other side characters Lev and Anton’s brother ( I forgot his name) i liked them in this book way more than the first one. And the plot twist man I didn’t see the last one coming even when i had my doubts and was suspicious of (this character). The spice was good it wasn’t cringe.
“My woman is a fucking warrior.”
✨My Rating✨ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Book 2 picks up with Jessa staying with Freya in England. Freya takes the news of her pregnancy strongly. She seems angry but then resigned. Turns out Freya is not who she seems, and Marina isn't dead. Marina makes herself known to Jessa, and Anton, by trying to make Jessa miscarry. Marina is tipped off that Anton is on his way and she escapes when Anton comes to Jessa's rescue.
The book was a bit long with a lot of conflict between Jessa and her best friend Chris. It dragged through the middle until Marina starts to actively try to get revenge on Anton and harm Jessa. Anton finally tracks Marina down, but it comes at a cost because the mole in his organization is family.
This duet was OK. I liked some of the plot twists. They weren't totally obvious, but I did start to suspect Yulian's betrayal. The s€x was good, but there wasn't much of it since Jessa spent a lot of her time trying to figure out her relationship with Anton and mend her friendship with Chris.

Really enjoyed this book. It has some nice moments and especially because the Don isn’t this tough guy who just abuses the female lead like so many of these mafia books. The characters actually had a likeable personality.
Ok, so I predicted the 2 major twists in this book way early on. 1. I knew Freya was Marina within 2-3 chapters in the first book. Stumbling to Jessa’s exact door just as she meets the Don. Making comments to make Jessa doubt herself. It all seemed sus. 2. Yulian was bad, and I also predicted this in the first book. He made some off comments here and there that made it so obvious. One of them being that he was always second to Anton and he says this almost every time someone was talking to him.

If you read first book and have any logical skills you would have figured out all the bad guys…this plot was so predictable I was hoping for something better in this book but was sorely disappointed. Also don’t think this author is familiar with US geography…story was suppose to be based in L.A. but references that it’s a 15 min drive to a New Jersey Hotel. Also first book was referencing that the were catering an event at the Plaza hotel…so she is a bi-coastal commuter..that’s a long ass expensive flight for a chef.
Very predictable story! And very weak characters. Jessa is one hell of an annoying person. Like how did the author seriously make her so pathetic and dumb? Like she is literally walking into every existing trap! And saying that the story was predictable is cause I guessed at the beginning that Anton’s wife was alive, and the whole thing with Jessa’s new friend was not sitting well with me so I guessed that it’s probably the wife! And I was 99% sure that it was Anton’s brother that ended up helping Mariana. Turns out that blood isn’t always thicker than water…
I have never left a review here before, but this girl is so dumb I can't stand it. The only reason I'm trying to finish is that I've read a couple other by this author and the were good...not amazing, but good reads. This gal is just stupid..lol
I wanted to love this book but Jesss is mostly annoying so it’s hard to even want to root for her. Anton is pretty typical of leads in the Bratva and was def swoon worthy. Overall though it was only an ok book. I finished it just because I started it but barely.
This is the second part of the Stepanov duet and I would recommend you read the first part of this duet or this story will not make much sense.
Well this story was rather epic, it hit the ground running picking up where the previous story left off and the pace did not let up. This book has it all, secrets, lies, intrigue and betrayal….lots and lots of betrayal and not forgetting heartbreaking unrequited love.
The characters were solidly crafted and though I did guess who was who and what the endgame would be this in no way spoiled this story for me. Rather I thought Nicole Fox was quite clever with how she structured her characters and weaved this story.
Jessa was slowly getting to grips with a whole new world when a convenient video message throws everything she knew up in the air. So the only the only thing to do is run but really it’s out of the frying pan and into the fire given the danger she’s placed herself and her baby in. It’s clear Jessa was initially out of her depth and very naïve in who she trusts. Jessa is a good person conflicted about her situation but my does she really grow into her role and at the end is willing to go to any lengths to protect herself and those she loves.
It’s fair to say Anton has had a very rough experience of marriage and relationships. The only two people he could really trust were his brother Yulian and right hand man Lev. Unfortunately it seems that intrigue and betrayal claim the very heart of his Bratva. That being said Anton is no fool and he knows just what he’s up against. Given his last experience trusting Jessa is a huge leap, especially since she ran but keeping his family safe is his number one priority. Anton’s feelings for Jessa just leapt off the page in everything he did for her. Taking care of her, keeping her safe and also embracing the romance instead of the repeating the patterns of his relationship with Marina. Whilst Anton was decisive he did listen to Jessa and developed a true partnership with her. The chemistry between Anton and Jessa was fantastic.
The secondary characters were well rounded and added depth to the story and I loved the interactions between them.
I highly recommend this duet I couldn’t put it down!.

What more can we ask for powerful men, grumpy, oh and sexy and the super strong women learning they are the ones with the real power so buckle up this is a wild ride, dangerous men, alpha personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a deliciously story 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, lies, more lies, secrets reveled, violence, arrogance, turmoil (emotional), annoyance, jealousy, rivalry/rivals, prejudices, deceit, threats, manipulating, distrust, confrontations, retribution, complications, deception, honor (family), trauma, hate, revenge/vengeance, hope, forgiveness, passion, and maybe just love. (All the great stuff a mafia story is made of…just saying) By the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! Can’t say I didn’t warn you. This is the second book in the Stepanov Bratva picking up right where the first one left off but I must say it wasn’t as intriguing as the first for me maybe because it read a little slower than the first not as engaging it was like reading about a bunch of teenagers with one adult and that adult with Anton after running she goes to her friend Chris who she gave the phone he appeared to be a little childish Jessa left the devil she knew who would keep her safe, who she felt like he cared somewhat about her back to the streets where she feels like she can’t trust anyone . Anton will stop at nothing less to have his girl back with him and when they find out she is pregnant well let’s just say it seals her fate to him because when he loves, he loves completely, and you belong to him. Betrayal hurts no matter who it is coming from especially when you loved the person so finding out who betrayed them, will Jessa come to her sense knowing only one man can keep her saft, to finally listen to her heat and do they find their own type of happiness?.

Thankfully the second book was released before I’d finished the first in this series as I DO NOT LIKE TO WAIT. Saying that, I wouldn't have missed much.
I’ve read a few books by this author now & it’s the same things I get frustrated at- if people would just talk to each other half of the sh*t that goes down would be handled straight away but instead everything gets dragged out & the reader is just force fed all the “subtle clues” about what’s really happening. Either give me a real surprise or get on with it.
Am clearly feeling quite grumpy so I'll keep the rest brief: - Why just keep throwing Christopher/the bestie in when you aren’t doing anything with him. The always running back/fighting angle just got a bit repetitive & I didn’t really see the point after a while. Sometimes you’ve got to know when to fold on a friend. Awkward. - Poor Anton ended up being a bit “meh” which is disappointing. I never understand why in book 2 the guy has to have a total personality transplant & become so super squishy & hearts & flowers-y. Also as a supposed Bratva leader he sure takes a while to notice what’s going on under his nose- (give me strength!!!) - Did we need the kindly surrogate parents, that just felt weird to me - The timeline on this whole thing is bonkers. I think from first meeting to knocked up, dedicated life partners who've slain all their demons & remedied their whole life trauma is around 3months.
It all ended a bit abruptly for me, everything nicely resolved in a couple of pages after a pretty epic character build up of the psycho ex which was a bit disappointing.
Good enough but not on my re-read shelf. Maybe a good light intro in the dark world of mafia romance but it didn't pack enough of a punch for me.
Nicole Foxs duets are always amazing but this one; this one had more plot than smut and I can’t even complain.
I will never forget the cell phone
Anton & Jessa - wow this book gave me trust issues lol
Book 1: this felt like a movie, I literally felt like I was in theaters. Her wedding, Dane cheating with Salma. Meeting this mystery man and this boat.
All the back and forth - the stealing of the phone I was invested.
Early on I found myself questioning Freya and Yulian. The way the author would depict the small things like his facial expressions or the way Freya would kind of shoot down Jessa anytime she said something positive about Anton I just did not like.
And for everytime that Yulian would say something about how the women always wanted Anton first, I put In the back of my mind that maybe Yulian had a soft spot for Marina. And no wonder he thought his brother killed her. I suspected they may have been close early.
Book 2: Broke my heart!!!
I will say I was hoping for a more declaration of love from Anton to Jessa but I get how they did it.
I do wish we got more smut
I know Chris meant well but man he got on my nerves. I am glad he’s not dead.
Freya coming out as Marina, I knew was gonna happen. But again the author did such a great job writing I felt like I was the watching her eyes pop out her head.
I also wish Anton got to tell her off more, she had this whole notion that he would always love her and I wanted him to tell her to her face that Jessa was it for him. I’m glad he killed get and I’m glad it was a bullet to the head.
The ending Yulian scene: When Jessa said how could you? I felt it. I wanted to tear up for that room. Because yea how could he? Because he loved Marina. She used him and he allowed it.
Like I knew but I just couldn’t believe it

OMG! Wow what an absolute blast of a book, the author Nicole Fox has done it again with this fantastic story and the characters were sensational. This is the second book for the Stepanov Bratva Duet and this book is just as brilliant as the first book if not better. Anton is the Bratva Don, Yulian brother, Jessa Anton's girlfriend, Chris Jessa's best friend, Lev is Anton's friend and right-hand man and Freya Jessa's friend and Marina are all the wonderful characters that you get to understand more. There were so many secrets, page turner, deceitfulness, betrayal, drugs, fear, trauma, twist and turns, enemies, violence, anger, frustration, manipulation, pleasure, action, danger, suspense, drama, kidnapping, lust, passion, romance, love, respect, euphoria, happiness and lots more emotions throughout. Freya is trying to get Jessa away from everybody while Chris is telling Jessa not to listen to her he doesn't like her, will Freya get what she wants. Will Jessa be safe with Freya or is she safer with Anton. You will need to read book one before two, you want be disappointed.

This book was worth the read and it was so suspenseful and page-turning!!
{Chapter 12. Anton's POW "And for this woman, I would do fucking anything", Quoted from the book Satin Princess (Location 1745)}. This Book is quite a long book which contains 40 chapter and epilogue and a surprise for the readers. Continuing from Book 1 "Satin Sinner", the story of Jessa and Anton is ending in this book, sadly. Anton is quite possessive, handsome, and Best Don compared to his brother. The title of the book is perfect 👌 it is the name of the pregnant horse in the book. Come and experience the Ivanovs and Stepanov Bratva's game of war! One of the Best Mafia romance books I have ever gotten to read! Also, Jessa is quite like the heroine character played in 365 days movie. Long read but it gives such a mindblowing pleasure for the dark romance readers. Use of language and ruthlessness is advisable.
HEA guaranteed, Hot love-making and parenthood mixed with shocking truths, and watch your corners!! I will not spoil the best parts of the book, so buy Satin Princess TODAY to know about them yourselves guys!!.

Believing that Anton had more to do with his wife’s death than he is letting on has Jessa fleeing for the safety of her unborn baby. Turning to Chris once again for help he is happy to help get her away from Anton, although he is shocked to hear that she is pregnant. Freya’s arrival has her suggesting that they get away from it all for a while and head to England. The distance sounds like a good idea and they jet across the Atlantic.
Furious that Jessa was able to leave with questions, Anton wonders what to do next. With tensions still high from rumours about Marina he is fighting fires on all sides. Reliant on his brother and Lev to assist in finding Jessa, although it is an unlikely source that gives him the answers he needs and heads to save Jessa from the friend she knows as Freya.
The protective side of Anton is on full alert for Jessa and their baby. Worried that at any moment he could lose one or both of them. Recuperating under his restrictive conditions Jessa believes he is only doing this for the baby and she will be discarded once he has what he wants. However, as threats ramp up towards them they find that they are drawn together. But who has been leaking information and putting them in danger?
The story starts in the Satin Sinner and to fully understand what’s happening I highly recommend reading first book in this duet… One night of freedom has cost me my life and my safety, now I’m pregnant with Don Anton Stephanov’s baby. Anton will not let me go, I have stolen from him and I’m paying my debt. I trust him to keep me safe until, someone sends her incriminating evidence of Anton killing his wife. The first things she does is run because she’s scared, but Anton will not let her or the baby go their lives are in too much danger. I love Jessa she’s stubborn, independent and she’s feistiness enough to stand up to Anton, but she soon realizes someone is out to hurt and the baby. Anton becomes more protective and intrigued by her. This story is action packed as they rush to find out who has been betraying them, to catch Jessa‘s the unknown stalker and assailant. Someone has betrayed them, secrets and lies begin to surface as someone is out to ruin Anton, kill Jessa and her baby. I received a free copy of this book with passion, danger, lies and betrayal via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was an epic conclusion for Jessa and Anton! There was so many conspiracies and intrigue. Who could you trust and how do you keep yourself safe from a madman? That's what Jessa had to figure out in this half of the duet. I continued to really like Jessa. Sure she was a little naive but to be honest how would you react in this situation? I thought she was a very real character that was easily relatable. She just wanted to be happy and move on with her life. Who doesn't?! There were some really big revelations here that made for some exciting, edge of your seat reading. One in particular made me a little sad but sometimes those things happen. Anton really stuck to his guns and was a good, likeable, albeit rough-around-the-edges character. The romantic side he showed was swoony! This was an exciting and well done book. The writing was so well done that it kept you guessing right up until the end. You are drawn in by her stories and just have to keep reading. I devoured this second half. I read it in an afternoon because I was so invested and needed to see what happens! This is a fantastic story that I would definitely recommend!
