All That She Surveys: A Naturist Adventure

Rate this book
Brenda thinks she has left her old life behind.
But a happy accident in her remote wilderness workplace sends her on a quest to find new meaning, new strength, and new skills. Wrestling with familiar old demons, she begins to discover a liberating sense of the divine. She transgresses taboo after taboo while taking the measure of her new aquaintances, unaware of the dangers still lurking nearby.
All That She Surveys is Brenda’s journey, through her discovery of a naturist way of living, to the naked truth about herself. In a final, violent confrontation, she not only sheds blood; she also sheds the last of the inhibitions that had always constrained her.
This is a story about one woman's discovery of the freedom and power that come from fully accepting her own physical nature, expressed through nudity, physical fitness, and skill with deadly weapons. Then the worst of what she thought she had left behind catches up with her. She learns how her own strength, skill, and savvy, combined with an unexpected network of allies, can save her from danger and put her on the path toward a new life.

DNF. The first 10% are uneventful other than vague hints at a troubled relationship. Note that this seems to be the only book by this author

The story of an abused wife who runs and finds refuge working for the Forestry Service.
An interesting read ... although it does get to be a little 'druggie' in the middle.
I will probably read more of Gwyn Forrest's stories when they are published.
