Carol Smith was born in London and worked in the book trade, both in London and New York, before becoming a full-time writer herself. This book was an easy fun read. A little repetitive with the descriptions at times which made me lose interest a little. Anna Kovac an author finds an ad in the Yale magazine for a house swap in Tuscany for one in New York . She jumps at the chance to get some peace to write. She and two friends head to Italy while she leaves her home to Dan Sutherland to enjoy for four months. All is fine and the girls are having a grand time until one day Anna's credit card is refused. She then checks her bank accounts to find that she has no balance. Also word comes that her architect who has been finishing off her New York home has fallen to his death. Anna rushes back to New York to get to the bottom of everything only to find even more shocking news.

This story is about the stolen identity & property of the main character but this book didn't give much of it. I got tired reading this because almost the whole story focuses on the big vacation rather than focusing on the main topic.
