The Graveyard Shift

Rate this book
Over 600 years ago a witch was killed, and despite himself, he keeps reincarnating.

Igor Francis can’t remember the last time he felt something. Lost to the beige of security tags and the tired routine of his store, Igor lives in the same day, even unbothered by the lights around him and their habit of flickering different colors. One night, however, on his walk home, something calls him, not quite compelling enough to get a rise out of him, but enough to make him step from his worn path with the nudge of the wind and through the gates of the local cemetery. Upon hearing the ring of a bell, Igor realizes that someone must have been buried alive the way they talked about in that old folk tale. Shovel in hand, a pile of dirt at his shoes, looking down into a shallow grave, that’s when it restarts, the never-ending cycle, the day he once again meets the charming, blonde, immortal out to save his reincarnated soul, Cyrus Glory.

A story of unapologetic emotion, of finding oneself, rising to the challenge, and breaking cycles, The Graveyard Shift was applauded by its preliminary readers for its surreal experience and complex characters. An entirely queer-led cast, this own voice novel has nonbinary, bisexual, lesbian, and triad romance representation, and is the sixth installment into what will someday be the largest queer-led shared universe to ever be written.

Wonderful book

The books was really interesting, had great twists and romance. I recommend this for beginners and people farther ahead who enjoy the fantasy genre. I don’t have anything negative to say about it.
