As a Christian songwriter and music producer, Jenny Phillips has released over 27 albums and has shared her love of music across the world, speaking at over 1,100 events in 23 countries and selling over a million CDs. In order to reduce the stress and time commitments that naturally come with a music label, and so she could focus more on her young family, Jenny left her music label in 2011. She now offers her music for free on www.hislightmusic.com.
When Jenny's children began going to school, she turned toward another one of her passions—education. Jenny began homeschooling in an effort to provide a faith-based, high-academic education focused on building noble character. Not wholly satisfied with any curriculum she could find and deeply concerned about the loss of good literature in our world, she founded The Good and the Beautiful.
Jenny lives in Utah with her husband and five children. In addition to music, motherhood, and good literature, Jenny loves family history, gardening, traveling, and exercising. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but she enjoys working with people of many faiths as she shares her multi-denominational curriculum, rejoicing in the common good that all Christians share.
Starts off right where the last book ended. I dislike some parts (Zoey being told to smile even if she feels like crying), but I feel like later it’s shown that it’s okay to cry …just kind of a weird thing included. Otherwise, a great simple kids’ chapter book.
I loved this amazing book, second in a series titled "Badger Hills Farm." It is a super good series perfect for young mystery lovers! It teaches good principles, and morals. This series will help you realize the good in others, and in yourself! It shows us that through hard work and effort anything is possible. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the rest of this endearing series!
Another fun read. I love the friendships and little giggles throughout. I’m reading this allowed to my youngest and he really enjoyed the hunt for Joseph.
I will say a few of my favorite parts, when Zoey fell of the horse her mom didn’t overreact when she said she didn’t want to ride again. Rather supported and listened with empathy!
I also loved that Zoey gave the Bible to ms Blaine, even though she didn’t believe in God. Such a sweet child like gesture that should encourage adults, too!
I like how in the last book, they only found the Hidden Room, but they didn't find what was in it, so they left us hanging at the end of the first book. In this book, I like that it was Christmas time, and they were all coming together and figuring out the clues of where Joseph was. -9 yo reviewer
Continues the mystery right after they find the secret door. Easy, fun read with good morals and family values. I enjoy how it promotes Godly virtues, the Bible, and toward the end it emphasizes the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
