Lack of trigger warning ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️
Where to begin. ..The story was well written, having the suspense aspect keeping you are your toes. Our lead girl was strong where it counted. I feel the "hot" scenes could have been hotter by sticking to dirty talk & less intellectual talk & thinking while doing the deed. And I don't mean the common thoughts & talks we read in typical dark romances- these scenes made me loose interests before they even got to it, the mood was kinda drowned out by all the inner thoughts, also the back & forth "intelligent/sensual" commentary. I also have a slight problem with the way the villian is created; he's more of a victim of circumstances that he endured from childhood, which is confusing in itself since he's really a horrible person. I've never had a book leave me so perplexed, having a mixture of feelings and reverence of whether to read the next book or not. I feel there was too much deception that the author allowed us to believe, and feel Zander & the mysterious Matteo are the only redeemable characters that would keep me interested. I didn't find Ares or Aries(Warren) as interesting as the book went on- I needed more. Domino I felt could be interesting, and we had more of his point of view only to be disappointed in the end. Oherwise, it is a good read, and I may grab the next because I am curious about how it turns out, also the factor I'm about to delve into may lead me not to grab it- a MISSING TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ !! There is no disclaimer regarding Incest Relations. While I may have let it slide, the author leads the reader into believing that it will be continuing into the next book, making me weary of how to go forward. I've read books where there have been incestuous relations- typically it's a one-sided relationship (one obsessed, the other forced)- but you are well aware of this fact while you're reading.

The FL Bully, who happens to be one of the MLs out of the trio, was revealed to be her half-brother at the end. He r8ped her (orally) in high school and abused her with his friends. All because she caught him fucking some dude named Ricardo in the locker room.
(That's probably one of the reasons he treats all women like objects. He likes to kiss up other dudes asses!🥴)
Now follow closely for the tea...
The ML father is actually the biological father of the FL. She was sold to one of his friends that he labeled 'not a sick fuck' like him. (We'll get into why later). The one who 'brought' her is now her adoptive father. He is the husband of her biological mother who looks like the older version of the FL. Her mother and the ML father are her real parents, and the gag is - the FL knows!😭
The ML Father r8ped or tried to r8pe the FL multiple times during the time she was in high school. She was silenced, and the only person who knew of all the abuse she went through was the 'bunny stalker'.

Now the 'bunny stalker' was later revealed to be the eldest son of the ML's father whom the ML didn't know of. So that means, 'the bunny stalker' is the FLs half-brother?

Wow, I'm not sure where to even start. This book put me through it, and I'm not sure how I'll come out at the end of this series. I was kept guessing throughout this book and came across some secrets I definitely didn't see coming. I don't want to put any spoilers out there, but do keep in mind that the triggers written in the Authors note definitely need to be adjusted just a little. My mind is all over the place, and I'm just not sure how I feel about it all. I guess we will see at the end! There are a few errors in the writing, but this book kept me hooked no matter what, so I'm going to have to give it a 5-star read based on the storyline.

i liked it more than i thought i would, and it wasn’t as dark as i was expecting it to be. but i just hated the writing. there were a lot of sentences that made no sense with poor grammar. the guys also were really immature and sometimes argued like kids. the fmc (im not even gonna say her name cos she has 3) was so inconsistent. in the beginning she comes off as this baddass confident character, and then she’d get all insecure about her appearance. honestly gave me whiplash where i felt like i was reading 2 different characters. the whole maiden and king shit reminded me of lords of pain. at least it wasn’t as awful as that shitshow
and the amount of people in this book who stutter?? like istg every chapter had at least one character stutter as if they were terrified out of their minds

I enjoyed the character relationships, but the alliances switching and secrets were messy and hard to follow. Also I wanted a redemption for Domino, but he just dug himself deeper into a hole and it was painful to watch.

i liked the concept of the book …. but for me it didn’t deliver …
honestly it felt like english wasn’t the writer’s first language : the odd and overly wordy / flowery dialogue that felt contrived and other times quite juvenile / the frequently strange sentence structure / quite a lot of weird word usage … all those things combined kept jolting me out of the story line until i just gave up ….
however judging by the other reviews quite a few people enjoyed the book … and i am sure others will too… just not me

The idea was there. But there were points in the story where things were so confusing. The first day of school was a jump around in time. Also Dom was just like too much for me. Like everything was too much. I feel like Warren was in the shadows a lot and I don’t understand why?

To start this off, fuck Domino ong.
So, this book surpassed all my expectations by miles. I went into this book assuming it was going to be an average dark romantic book.
The fact that there was no rape by the eventual real love interests made this book so enjoyable. I loved Gemini as a character she was complex and didn't take shit but was still vulnerable and weak in a way, she also never constantly said she wasn't like other girls.
I thought originally the Ruthless Kings of Carnage were going to be super popular and feared and total douches. Domino is but that's on purpose we're not meant to like him. I will say I was made somewhere uncomfortable with the fact that Domino is Evangeline's halfbrother, and they have engaged sexually but honestly I think that added to the story and the insane shock value. I'm venturing to guess Matteo is a Leighton on his mother's side, I hope because it'd be weird for Gemini to be kissing her half brother again.
I hope to see more of Warren in the second book but with Domino's villain 'plot twist' he might not even be a real love interest, just added drama. I really hope Domino is NOT redeemed, I want him to stay evil, I don't like him and honestly I will never like him, he's a jerk and I'm glad we didn't do the bully to lover trope with him thus far. He's a jerk.
Over all this book was extremely entertaining and I read it in three days as a full time student. The writing style was mostly consistent with only a select few times where I thought it could have been written differentlty. I am a firm believer authors shouldn't use trending words, social trends/fads or current social media just because of how poorly they age. But all in all it was one of the best book I've read in years.

for a debut novel this book was an absolute masterpiece with a healthy dose of 'what the fuck did i just read' 😭😭😭😭😭😭
i just finished this novel and oh my FUCKING GOD what the fuck 😭😭😭😭😭 the fmc is refreshing. smart, funny, stands up to all her love interests (this being a why choose is done well) and the love interests are all executed well too.
zander has a lovely and well rounded personality, we also see how ares warms up to her, how aries slowly gets closer too and god i am so curious about the ending!!!!
domino tho...... author i mean this, if u ever redeem his character i will literally never forgive you. bro is literally a hellspawn. no loyalties, no character, anger issues, useless and literally had no qualities to redeem himself. and im dumbfounded by saying this but he literally has no good qualities which is kind of amazing as usually people portrayed as love interests have one or two things that attract fmc to them. but nope. absolute piece of shit.
i hope in the next book he faces the repercussions of his actions and there is absolutely NO FORGIVENESS for him.
also side note the last 2-3 chapters will leave your jaw absolutely dropped. the novel was going well, building up the climax and i was left absolutely flabbergasted by the ending???????? what the fuck was just revealed 💀💀💀💀
i hope the author is in a good headspace because i just read varying levels of fucked up in the novel which make up for really REALLY problematic points 😭😭 i cant say more without it being spoilers but what the fuck is up with that family man 😭

This book literally kept me glued and guessing, laughing and angry throughout the whole journey. This is definitely a new book world that I couldn’t anticipate or predict how it was going to play out!
Gemini is the FMC I’ve always wanted to be, but would never want to go the the trauma and heartbreak that she has had to deal with throughout her time on this earth.
Her Ruthless Kings are at times extremely Ruthless but a few of them you just want to lick and claim as your own! 😂. From the stabby psycho, to the sexy male model, to the bodyguard who drops his guard at a very important moment. What is a Ruthless King without his Ruthless Queen?
This is a great debut of Madison Kingsley! Gemini is forced to enter the twisted dark world her family is involved in… or is she truly the mastermind?
Betrayals and alliances are found around every turn. Who is friend and who is foe? She always seems to be one step ahead, and knows the best way to put spoiled heirs in their place.
I found myself more than once wanting to reach through the screen and smack some sense into the idiots that she’s surrounded with. Luckily she did it for me. ;).
I’m loving the world that’s being built and can’t wait to see where this series takes me. Hopefully to the top with the Ruthless Queen on her throne.

Wow.... (Non spoiler review)
I was absolutely stunned by this book. I have read A LOT of books that are similar to this theme and was so surprisingly in love with this book. It keeps you on your toes the entire time. The FC was beautifully written, as was Zayn & Ares (😍). The spice was good, could always use more (😉). The plot and little hints throughout the story keep you hooked and guessing and guessing. The ending was brilliant and CANNOT wait for Ruthless kings of Havoc to be released!!!
Also yes this is a long book but so freaking worth it. You would miss out on so many little details if this story was to be shortened. Wouldn't change a thing about this book!!!!!

Puzzled
I’m still puzzled on how this will work. Everything is here and if not for one detail I would give it five stars. Are we forgetting that they are brother and sister? Granted it’s half siblings but what in the world is going on and this is ok. I love how Domino got his well due in front of everyone but Matteo is her half sibling as well and now they are to get married? Why oh why couldn’t Pink Bunny guy be some random, why did it have to be her half sibling. I’m stuck on that as you can see. This book has some spice, suspense, romance and well written. It’s so good that I got through it within one day. Just trying to figure out if I want to read the newly but old acquaintances half siblings get it on in the next book.

Oh… these Ruthless Kings. This book/world just kept me on my toes. One minute I’m laughing, the next I’m crying and then the next I’m ready to smack and strangle a couple of them. So much angst and nail-biting chaos. Lol. My emotions were all over the place. Gemini is such a unique FMC. Strong yet vulnerable and such a sarcastic, sassy thing. So many twists and unexpected turns that you’re hanging on for the next page. I can’t wait to see where the journey goes. If you’re looking for a read where you get delicious men, a little bit of the crazy psycho-ness and all things in between and beyond, this book from this amazing new author is just for you!

What the hell did I just finish......
First off can we just say that Gemini is my girl. She might have quickly moved to my number one without even realizing it. She is my queen badass!!
Domiano, I want to stab him in the throat with a fork. I think we can replace him with Bunny Stalker. Also, can we all have our very own Bunny Stalker. He might be my favorite other than Zayden. We love a good unhinge bad boy with a cozy heart. Ares is my crazy model lover boy, and Warren is my shadow man that is a secret love.
I wasn't expecting to love this book as much as I did. It is literally a masterpiece. I can't wait to dive into book two and see more of my unhinged babies!!

I wasn't expecting to love this book as much as I did. It is literally a masterpiece. I can't wait to dive into book two and see more of my unhinged babies!!

I don’t know what to say. There are some definite triggers in here that needed some warnings. The author tries to be mysterious and make big reveals, but it just makes the book confusing. It was interesting enough that I want to read on, but if her relationship to Matteo and Domino is correct, then I’m not down with that. I don’t like how you’re made to see the bad side of Domino, but yet Gemini defends him despite the heinous stuff he put her through. Since we can assume she knows the full truth and was pulling the strings all along, why would she want to be with Dom? Just too many questions unanswered.

I would have loved to at least give this 4 stars but the use of douche, slut, cunt & bitch (among others) was so excessive that I may never use those words again because they’ve officially become annoying as fuck! After a while, it becomes uncreative in the name calling department. Other than that, I wish the MMCs were more action than talk. They seemed extremely weak, and Iva had more balls than them.
Alas, of course I’m going to read the next one because Domino losing his reign was so exciting! And I want more of Iva and her badassery!

Review after completing the series
I have finished all 4 books… the first 3 were really good, kept me interested in the story despite the half sibling connection, and had good character development. However the last book felt rushed, left many unanswered questions and was confusing and left me with a feeling that I missed a few chapters.
I wish I read the reviews for the last book then maybe I wouldn’t have read the series I just feel a bit ripped off that I have more question’s then answers and we don’t get to see the relationship happy and settled.

I read this and was loving it however that came to a halt when it’s revealed that her father and brother both forced themselves on her, and then she sleeps with her half brother knowing it’s her half BROTHER wtf.
I know it’s dark romance but this is straight fucked up.
Also there’s no warning for INCEST , which I feel like would be great to warn people before they get too invested in the series, I’ve read a LOT of dark books but this is straight up gross.
I loved the plot the only thing I hate is the siblings and father .

Hot Mess!
I'm sorry but this is just so poorly written that I couldn't continue past the second chapter. It tries way too hard to reflect an artistic writing style that this author does not possess. I'm not sure if it's translated from a different language, but it seems that English is not the author's first language. It's painfully obvious that she doesn't even grasps the meaning of many of the words she UNNECESSARILY uses. It's often cringe worthy, and I literally feel embarrassed for her. Maybe if I approached it as a soap opera, or parody, but then again...no. Just NO.

Wow! What a debut book!
I absolutely loved it and couldn't put it down! I don't really understand why the FMC had so many different names, but she is still a bada$$ b! I loved all the twists and turns and trying to figure out what was really going on. I loved the major twist at the end and Domino being taken down a few pegs. I can't wait for the next book and am anxiously waiting the two months until it comes out!

Hands down FAVORITE!!
Spice was AMAZING and story is VERY well thought out. Kept me on my toes the WHOLE time and I could not figure out who the mystery man was and was completely surprised until the end. So well written and one of my favorites by far and I have read A LOT of books from this type of category. I absolutely love the FC and couldn't set this book down. I hate waiting on books to come out but will definitely be overjoyed when the next installment comes out.

I enjoyed this book liked the storyline and loved the characters not so much Domino. Gemini,Eva,Iva and all the other the other names she went by she was so tough to begin with and then she seemed to be sick a lot, it puzzled me. Zander and Ares were called by different names and I had to go back and read a few pages incase I missed something.
These are only minor details other than that I enjoyed reading the book and looking forward to the next one

Has a lot going for it!
This was quite a Rollercoaster ride..
Very unpredictable, and quite surprising by the end.
I do wish that more of the action happened on the page, instead of being described later. There's no sense of time passing in this book, and I was often confused by the people who came, and went so quickly. As well as what Warren, and Evie knew about their circumstances..
Hopefully things are clearer in book 2.
I'm definitely going to be reading the next book

I am blown away!!
This book was fantastic!!! Dark, witty, and smutty… just a few of my favorite things! The dark un-hingedness of Zayn, the watchful Ares, and the more watchful Aries are so delicious, but the fierceness of Iva won me from the first few chapters! With so many delightful twist interns I cannot wait to see what book two has in store for us!

I could not put this book down!!! You have to really pay attention to the details but it is worth it for the twists that come at the end. I’m anxiously awaiting book two to see what is in store for these characters now that I’m emotionally attached to them! Great read for anyone who enjoys Mafia / Reverse Harem stories.

Drawn in and hooked
I really enjoyed this first instalment of the Leighton Royals University series. The characters are vivid and entertaining with the odd quip to break up the darker story. I loved that the plot twists and turns. I'm off to read book 2 highly recommend 👌
