Annalise is your typical quiet nerd that is content with blending into the background.
Tristan is the popular captain of the soccer team that all the girls want to be with. Not to mention, future Alpha of the Monhegan Moonlight Pack.
Annalise Foster has been Tristan Evans next door neighbor all her life. Their paths in life never seemed to cross as they are from two totally different worlds. Tristan's never took notice to Annalise. He's known of her and who she is, but he's never really seen her...the real her...that is until she comes back a changed girl from summer camp.
Things start changing and soon Annalise is thrown into a life filled with excitement and adventure. Who would've thought the boring girl had bite?
Notice Me is Book 1 of the Monhegan Moonlight Trilogy
I dislike shapeshifter/werewolf style books where the alpha male sounds like an abusive and controlling boyfriend, but it's all ok, because that's how a pack acts?
When she get's home from school, the boy next door who never noticed her, suddenly, becomes her number one stalker, he demands her locker combination, he refuses to let her walk from one class to the other by herself, he is intense, moody, and physical.
I get confused with these books. Are there people reading this and thinking this is romantic? People read this, and want this relationship for themselves? Because it kind of sounds like wanting someone to slowly suffocate you with a pillow over your face. I remember being 16, I remember the obsession, the crushes, the constant need for affirmation. But I also, liked my own freedom, I didn't want to be babied, I wanted to be taken seriously, and not just steamrolled over by a guy with a strong personality.
And there's always that question for YA books, will the hormonally charged 16 year old teenager "do-it" or will they just mess around, and dry hump a lot?
Awww...I love this hidden gem! When I came across it, I honestly wasn't sure what I was in for. Needless to say, I had low expectations, and gah, this story blew me away! This was a great start to a new trilogy by author Lili Lam. The characters were well developed and I had a lot of empathy for all of them, not just the two main characters. Tristan, though, yummy! Watching the romance grow between Lise and Tristan was so sweet! The chemistry was well written and it was portrayed on the pages as if it were really happening. There was just enough action, twists and turns, new friendships and love, that this book kept me glued to the pages. I promptly one clicked the sequel as soon as my eyes left the last page. If you like a lot of romance in your young adult paranormal, this book is a must read. It deserves five glittery stars for just how awesome the author did creating this story!
As a soon to be 15-year-old senior in high school with a thriving social life, its safe to say that I did not make it past the first three pages of this book. Similar to the main character, I skipped a grade within high school in addition to second grade. This book is very poorly written, however, because I did not finish the book, I am giving it the benefit of doubt (2 stars instead of just one).
I’ve had this book on my kindle since 2017, I believe. I never gotten through it, I kept dnf-ing it. But I gave another try (a final one) and it really disappointed me. First off, it felt like an unedited wattpad novel that a thirteen year old wrote. Second off, it had more grammatical and punctuation errors than any other book I’ve read. Finally, the author put tristans POV labeled in the book but not anyone else. I don’t recommend this at all. I will definitely not read the rest of the series either.
I read this on Wattpad back when it first came out and was so happy that it became a paper back. This was my first book that made me fall in love with fantasy/supernatural style romances
I gave it a 4star not because it's wasn't a good book but because it was just not for my age group, the girl was 16 and the guy was 18.I'm 60 so even though the book was good for that age group it wasn't something that I would spend a lot of time reading but keep up the good work.
It was an okay read. Clearly I know not a lot of people are going to like this book, HELL I wanted to DNF it but I kept on reading because I had nothing else to do!
I admit I had to force myself at times because it was cheesy, and annoying at times, not to mention unrealistic, but the writing was all choppy and forced.
This isn't your typical werewolf story. The plot changes are great and it keeps you wanting more. I am in love with the idea of finding your perfect match I just wish it was drawn out a bit more. It seemed a tad rushed and almost not fulfilling as they both just kind of accepted it and that was that.
This is one of the best stories i have ever read the plot was very good but the language vas very very easy. In my opinion, there is also positive side to it as it will be easier for young readers to understand
