Read for my toddler's bedtime. Fantastic story and illustrations! This story followed the Little Red Sleigh. It has a dream to be Santa's sleigh. Others told her that her dream is impossible because she's too small, too young, and too slow. She decided to make a trip to North Pole to prove to others that she can do anything because she believed in her heart that she could. She trudged on, through snow storms and treacherous snow-covered paths, mud, and grime. Luckily she had unexpected help by generous passerby along the way. At one point, not quite reaching the destination, a little girl picked up little red sleigh and had a great time sledding up and down the snow-covered hill with her friends. Little red sleigh was sad that Christmas Eve came and she didn't reach her destination as she planned but her feelings soon lifted when she read the letter left on the floor in front of her.

This story reminds me of another picture book called The Little Engine That Could. It has advices for the Little Red Sleigh that it's okay to be small, slow, and young. Everyone was in that situation before like the train and the yellow truck. Train and Yellow Truck advise, "Life builds up one car at a time." I highly recommend everyone to read this Christmas book!

Thank you Sourcebooks Kids for the opportunity to read and review!

Little Red Sleigh is an adorably wonderful holiday read to get you in the spirits!

The illustrations are gorgeous, and we haven't even gotten to the story yet. Erin Guendelsberger has given us quite the gem in a little picture book. This book brings back the charm of Christmas morning for me, with all the holiday spirit and Christmas themed colours (red, white, gold, green!). I absolutely adore this book and I'm totally enchanted by it. It's exactly what I want from a holiday Christmas read.

This little red sleigh wants to help Santa out, because that's what sleighs do! People told her she doesn't do it, but if you just believe there's a chance. Suddenly, our sleigh friend is off on a magical adventure to the North Pole!

I think this is one magical book that should become a holiday favourite! It has so much charm and it's so wonderful! I love it so very much. I highly recommend picking up this book.

Five out of five stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and SourceBooks for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

Ignore any comparisons to The Polar Express; the only similarity between the two books is that each has a train. Enjoy Little Red Sleigh for itself, a picture book that reminds us that we sometimes get what we want through a very different avenue than we had envisioned. I enjoyed author Erin Guendelsberger’s words, but it is illustrator Elizaveta Tretyakova’s pictures that make this a five-star read.

I received an electronic ARC from Sourcebooks Wonderland through Edelweiss+.
Charming story about a small sled who wants to pull Santa's sleigh. Other items in the store tell she's too small to fulfill her dream. She builds her courage and sets off for the North Pole. Her adventures bring her to a small girl who claims the sled for a day of fun. Even Santa invites her to visit him the next year. The illustrations bring the story to life. The text is a bit wordy for the target audience. A fun family read together.

Could there BE a more perfect wintery read than this one?! I was so excited to receive an eARC of this title thanks to Sourcebooks kids & NetGalley because my little girl is ALL about all things winter! She could not WAIT until the first snow of the season to bust out all her new snow gear, and get out there to play! I am so thrilled I wait to get this one out for her until our first snow this year because it was just perfect.

A book I already ordered for us to read during our 25 books of Christmas advent calendar, this book is sure to be a family favorite year after year! Adorable illustrations full of whimsy and fun, with so many of our holiday favorites appearing on the pages - snowman and sledding, Santa, and Christmas trees.

Litte Red Sleigh was such a cute story about hope, dreams, and most importantly at this time of year, GIVING!

Can you tell I am sitting at Barnes & Noble reading children’s books right now? 😂

Little Red Sleigh is a cute book with pretty pictures and a sweet message. It’s going in my “maybe I will buy this even though I have adult sized kids pile.”

This book is everything a children's Christmas book should be. It was cute and kind, and adventurous and in the end, had a wonderful moral. I adored the illustrations, they matched the tone and mood of the story very well, and the story itself was very adorable and well-plotted. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

The Little Red Sleigh has one big dream―to one day become Santa's big red sleigh! But all her life, she's been told she's too small, she's too young, she can't fly, and she certainly can't meet Santa. Well, this Christmas, with the help of some friends, she's determined to do the impossible. Little Red Sleigh is a heartwarming children's Christmas book you'll want to read again and again. Full of winter joy and Christmas magic, this Christmas book for kids will remind you that no dream is out of reach if you believe.

A heartwarming story about a little red sleight with a 'big heart' that dreams of one day being Santa's big red sleigh, so she goes off to make her dream come true.

A cute holiday tale that is a little different than usual!

4.5 stars: A little red sleigh has a big dream, she wants to become Santa's big red sleigh and fly through the skies with him while he delivers all of his presents on Christmas Eve. The other toys tell her she's too small and can't fly, but she isn't about to give up. When she gets the chance, she slides out the door and is on her way. With the help of various friends she meets on the way, she almost makes it. The trip is not easy, but when she stops, she meets a young girl who shows her her true purpose, and she finally flies. Although she does not miraculously turn into Santa's big red sleigh, Santa rewards her for finding what she doesn't even know she is looking for. A story about following your dreams, not getting discouraged and persevering. I really liked the illustrations. They were a bit retro and old fashioned and fit this book well. It is reminiscent of a lot of other stories with the same message such as Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel or The Little Engine That Could but with a winter and Christmas setting. This is one that I was asked to read again, so it is a hit with us. I was gifted with a copy of this book upon request. The rating and opinions shared are my own.

Przeczytałam tą książkę w Empiku, ponieważ mnie zaciekawiła. Bardzo mi się podobała, mimo, że jest to książka dla dzieci. Super były ilustracje i cała historia Czerwonych Saneczek. Miały one różne przygody, ale na końcu wszystko dobrze się skończyło.

I read this book to a group of preschoolers & it was great to get them into the holiday spirt and enjoy this story, while learning about dreaming big. It is very inspiring to the little ones to dream big & never give up on what you put your mind too. Nothing is to big to complete as long as you set your mind to it & work hard. This storyline message is very important for young ones to hear & understand!

We just finished this adorable Christmas story about the journey of a Little Red Sleigh. With the wish of helping Santa on Christmas, the Little Red Sleigh makes the snowy trek to the North Pole. Before her journey began, she was discouraged by others about her dreams but she continued on regardless. On the way she learned from others she met that it would take time and patience to get to where she wants to be. Making it to the North Pole by Christmas and helping Santa was her goal but she'll learn along the way that there are other ways to help Santa. Maybe she'll eventually get to the North Pole and be with Santa but she finally learned what she was meant to do.

This was a super sweet story with amazing illustrations! The sweet message of perseverance and being a helping hand makes for a really great children's Christmas story. It would make a good addition to any children's Christmas library.

I love this book. The illustrations are gorgeous with a retro flair and the magical Christmas message will be well received by kids of all ages.

A little red sleigh has a BIG dream. She wants with all her heart to become Santa's BIG red sleigh and fly through the skies with him while he delivers all of his presents on Christmas Eve.

Other toys in the toyshop try to discourage her telling her she's too small, too young, unable to fly and that she will never ever be able to meet up with Santa. Despite all their naysaying and negativity little red sleigh sets her sights on her goal and is intent to at least try to fulfill her dream. Out the door she goes determined to do all that she can possibly do to make it happen.

Her journey is difficult and treacherous but she never gives up. With the help of some kind friends she meets along the way little red sleigh finally discovers her true destiny and yes, Santa notices all her efforts to bring joy and happiness to those around her and miraculously he graciously rewards her.

The illustrations are gorgeous and could stand on their own in a wordless picture book. They enrich the power of the text and the message of following your dream wherever it takes you. This heartwarming Christmas tale would be a great gift to give or to add to your own seasonal collection. I highly recommend this book.

Oh my goodness! Little Red is the cutest sleigh I've ever seen -- complete with a heart in the middle. It's her heart that drives Little Red on. Her dream is to help Santa Claus deliver his gifts to children across the world. As Little Red learns, a dream is always achievable if you just take one step at a time until you get there.

A very heartwarming picture book.

Little Red Sleigh is a wonderfully cute story about a little sleigh that dreams of pulling Santa's load one year. As it travels to the North Pole, it learns that big things didn't always start out big and end up right where a little red sleigh belongs. A perfect Christmas story.

This is one of those stories about an inanimate object being life like that just doesn’t work. How annoying it is to read that the sleigh had eyes. They come up repeatedly, but are not shown in the illustrations. There are a lot of better Christmas books available.
