Read for my toddler's bedtime. Fantastic story and illustrations! This story followed the Little Red Sleigh. It has a dream to be Santa's sleigh. Others told her that her dream is impossible because she's too small, too young, and too slow. She decided to make a trip to North Pole to prove to others that she can do anything because she believed in her heart that she could. She trudged on, through snow storms and treacherous snow-covered paths, mud, and grime. Luckily she had unexpected help by generous passerby along the way. At one point, not quite reaching the destination, a little girl picked up little red sleigh and had a great time sledding up and down the snow-covered hill with her friends. Little red sleigh was sad that Christmas Eve came and she didn't reach her destination as she planned but her feelings soon lifted when she read the letter left on the floor in front of her.
This story reminds me of another picture book called The Little Engine That Could. It has advices for the Little Red Sleigh that it's okay to be small, slow, and young. Everyone was in that situation before like the train and the yellow truck. Train and Yellow Truck advise, "Life builds up one car at a time." I highly recommend everyone to read this Christmas book!
