For as long as she can remember 12-year-old Reka and her twin brother Eddy have spent the summers with their parents and younger siblings at the family cabin. For the first time ever Pop’s not with them and Mother is acting strangely. There’s an odd little boy next door who doesn’t talk much and sits like a statue and other more mysterious problems keep appearing. Reka is planning to be a detective when she grows up. Good read

You don't have to be from MI to enjoy this story about a young girl and her struggles to figure out who she is. If you grew up in the 60's you will appreciate even more the story lines shared here. There are several mysteries to solve for this young sleuth, intertwined with relationships and the enjoyment of a summer at a lake cabin.
Great, honest storyline. Thoroughly enjoyed.

what a lovely story

I loved every minute of this book. The descriptiveness of the writing held me to the very last page. Well done
