A Ballad of Pretty Vipers

Rate this book
Love has put a target on her back.

When Riva is falsely accused of murdering her twin sister and sentenced to death, she has no choice but to return to the dangerous faerie court in Eraeon—and to Nykolas, the Crown Prince. But their forbidden romance puts her in grave danger from powerful enemies who will stop at nothing to tear them apart—even if it means shattering Riva’s mind.

The last thing Riva needs is the mysterious Prince Jaxson further complicating matters. Increasingly drawn into his web of deceit and dangerous bargains, she cannot tell whether he is friend or foe. Especially when he’s playing a game with her heart to which she doesn’t know the rules.

Torn between two powerful, deadly princes, far more than Riva’s heart is at risk. War is brewing between the human and faerie kingdoms, and she keeps receiving notes from a twin sister who is supposed to be dead.

With vivid worldbuilding and a love that transcends divided realms, this romantic fantasy weaves an intoxicating tale of forbidden desire, lethal secrets, and devastating betrayals.

Welcome back to the beautiful nightmare.

Absolutely horrible, after an amazing first book, you would expect that the h learned something, newsflash she didn’t..and it kept getting worse. Save yourself the money and skip this one, what a terrible terrible book, it does not feel like it was written by the same person honestly.

Overall the book was good, they are quick super easy reads. The only thing is, I struggle with the MMC a bit, he just reminds me of a 16 boy so green and naive about love. Very much rooting for the “villain” to win her heart in the end.
