Stix is a young man who's just trying to make his way. Nearly five years ago he'd lost his first job when he was caught in the barn with the farmer's son. He counted himself fortunate to have found work at the Lazy E Dude Ranch and Winery in rural Westburg, Texas. What's more, Stix has always known he was different. Horses and leather are all he's ever known and loved but he craves something more. When opportunity comes knocking in the form of a dominant male, he is instantly attracted and can't fathom why, though one night, when he catches the man involved in a scene he'd only fantasized about, he knows this is what he's longed for all along. Finally faced with the truth about himself, all he can do is hope to find this type of love with a Dom of his own.

This was book 5 in the "Master's Boys "series. Zack and Cassidy go on a vacation to Zack's home town in Texas to a dude ranch where they act out one of Cassidy's kinky cowboy fantasies. While in Texas Zack decides to open a BDSM club. Wade who is heartbroken over his breakup with his dom Phoenix is house sitting for them. I'm Texas the guys meet Stix the young ranch hand who witnessed the guys in a couple of scenes turns out Stix is a friend of Wade's they were both kicked out after being caught by Wade's father. Although this book is called Stix it was more about Zack all the things he was going the scene with Dennis was funny. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.
Soooooooo excited for Stiiiiiiixxxxxx. Another boy, another Dom and more hotter than hot action and bittersweet connections. Brilliantly (forgive the pun) tying up the plot lines that had been left hanging from Grit. It's so important to read these in order starting with Silver Ties because you will fall in love with these men that Patricia breathes life and pathos into.. This is the fifth instalment of the Masters Boys series. I found myself waiting VERY impatiently for this one, anxious to connect once again with the men of DOMZ.com and hopefully get a chance to yell some sense into one of them and see what scenes I could catch with ANY of the others and meet Stix and Master C and see their connection as well as catch a glimpse of old friends. Stix does NOT disappoint. If you are into BDSM especially the s/D scene, hot sex, or just like to watch this series is a MUST. Patricia "green" for #6....
I was so waiting for the fifth installment in the Master's boys series! And I'm so not disappointed! Stix and Marcus are hot. You can see that Patricia Logan loves her men...And she has such a way to lead us throughout the difficult stories of these beautiful young subs, finding at last their loving (gorgeous) Dom. Patricia knows well the BDSM world and gives us an accurate insight of its philosophy, practices and passion. She has created a whole BDSM world, a big loving and growing family of men, and I can't stop reading about their life, love, hot BDSM scenes, and I love all of them. :-D Well done once again Patricia!
Another enjoyable story. I was so happy that Wade's first love, Stix, was doing okay himself in Texas and that he was able to go to California to see him again. Marcus will be the perfect Dom for Stix. I was also so happy that Phoenix had finally got his head out of his ass and asked Wade to marry hi, The wedding ceremony at Domz.com was lovely thanks to Vesper. I shake my head at Zack's continuing inability to hire good receptionists though it was hilarious when Dennis inadvertently splashed cum on the zoning inspector. Hope Zack's expansion plans will go through later.
I love that each book has a different set of men, but this one I really didn't get to know Stix and Marcus at all. Good to see that things are going well for Zack and Cassidy. And Wade and Phoenix have worked it out.
3.5-4 stars Yet again, I really enjoyed this story but despite it being titled STIX, we get very little story about him, instead it's more about the Zack & Cass as well as Trick & master P and the constantly changing receptionist. Overall it was a good story though.
So, in book five, we have a young man named Stix who works on a ranch in Westburg, Texas. Zach and Cassidy have gone there to visit friends and to open an IRL version of DOMZ.com. There are characters in this novella that are obviously from other books. I have no idea which other books they’re from. So needless to say that I was somewhat lost in this one.
So while there, they meet a young ranch hand that works for one of the ranch owners. This story was like the others in that it told the story of the other characters in the book but told very little of the main character’s story so I couldn’t tell you much about him other than the fact that he was a young ranch hand who was connected to Trick. You get an inkling that he may be interested in the BDSM lifestyle but that’s only when he observes one of Zach and Cass’s many sexual escapades.
Speaking of which, there are many sexy times for Zach and Cass and although normally I wouldn’t mind, it takes a lot of focus off of the story’s main character.
So of course, he goes to back to California with Zach and Cass to DOMZ in the hopes that he would find a Dom of his own and live happily ever after. He’s matched with a Dom who he had chemistry with and was really into only to find out that the Dom didn’t want to be tied down…okay, bad choice of words. The Dom wasn’t into monogamy. So Stix realizes he’s wasted his time and decides to go back home. And…that’s it. No, that’s really it.
This story wasn’t really about Stix as it featured everyone more than it did him. He was thrown together with a Dom who just wasn’t interested in more than a few sexual encounters. And like the others, it ended abruptly.
This story felt completely thrown together. I had no clue who the other characters were. It was like walking into the middle of a conversation with strangers and be expected to follow the thread of it. If you are like me, who only started reading the Master’s Boy’s series, you would have no idea who these other characters are nor which books they’re in.
I was lost in the sauce on this one. There were too many characters from other books thrown in with little to no attention focused on the MC. The blurb actually offers more information on Stix than the actual novella does. This author has some really good characters that with more story development, could be great characters. The problem with this series is that the storylines does not focus enough attention on the MCs. That combined with the abrupt endings makes the stories appear rushed and unfinished. The author had the right recipe, just not enough ingredients to complete the dish.

I love her stories and this one was no exception. I love Diamond/aka Stix and LOVE MAster J. The one that go to me the most in this one however was Wade. It broke my heart but I cheered him on. Not a spoiler but loved it!
Merged review:
This series was one of the best I've ever read and each book was as good or better than the last and Stix was no exception.
I loved Stix himself of course but I have to say my fav parts of this and most books in this series is the peek inside of Zack and Cassidy and this one gave me GOOD Zack and his gorgeous officer sub! HOT is not the word for this book, loving and caring, and emotions are all jammed packed here. Stix is beautiful and his back story tear jerking.
I love the way she's made these characters real. They aren't all vicitms or heroes they are true to life with the normal trials and joys other people have which is why they are so real. Anyway, Loved this and the whole series!
So I thought "Grit" was a tearjerker- wow, Patricia topped herself in "Stix." Not to say that Stix didn't have its amazingly hot moments. Zack and Cassidy on vacation, yum. Lots of seriously erotic scenes there as well as some chances to see two wonderfully loving, caring gay men. Meeting Stix of course was great; his immediate charm with Zack and Cassidy was great, even if he was a bit of a peeping Tom at first. Yes, the tearjerker moments came with Wade, back home watching Zack and Cassidy's house and I loved every minute of his darling struggle. I loved really meeting Gabriel and Marcus in this book, rather than the smaller mentions of them in "Grit." Zack's misfortunes around receptionists continue in this book and gave me my ROFLMAO moments. And Vesper was such a dear- I love her.
